I will prefer to diversify them, 5 btc in trading, 5 btc will hold for the future and 2 btc will sell and convert to fiat as its always good to have some hard cash in hands to spend them in real world.

Its a big risk to invest that high amount in gambling and history says that majority of users have lost their all money in it, so I will prefer to invest it in trading instead of gambling.

Honestly there isn't any guaranteed place where you can buy or investing in something and wait for a good profit. You have to risk and you can expect a profit or a loss but nothing is guaranteed, I would hold them and check if any ICO worth investing.

Otherwise, if you do not like this methods, you can convert some bitcoin into other potential cryptocurrencies, i think you will get even more profit with it

Having that large of an amount is a great risk to invest on anything but here's what Ill suggest you. Only send 2 BTC to an exchange wallet's address then start altcoin trading. Using this method you'll earn a pretty decent returns on investment without risking all of your btc. The 10 BTC that will be left from your bitcoin wallet will be just stuck there. Just convert it to fiat when price is high and convert it back to bitcoin when price is low that way you'll have back up just in case you lost some money on trading.
If you are taking risk of investing in altcoin trading to gain profits then why not to take extra risk by investing higher amount as it will lead to much higher profits in compare to getting from 2 btc.
in my opinion you have to start everything slow especially an investment that requires your hard earned money.
so go in with small amount and then grow it to 12BTC after you feel safe with trading enough.
Trading is the best way of investing bitcoin.Altcoin investment can give you good profit in quick time.But you need to have skills and knowledge about it.beside this I can give you another suggestion.You can open a lending service on this forum & give loan to trusted members or with sufficient collateral. That will be slow earning but I think it's a good way who don't know about trading.

to me 12 Bitcoin is really a good amount, i think you should invest it in a good safe and profitable activity, i think you can invest it in alt coins but you need to choose such kind of coins which you this is more reliable and trusted.

You can invest your 12 bitcoins on gambling sites and casino. I also think it's better to invest it on 2-3 investment, don't put it all your bitcoins into 1 bucket.
that is a bad suggestion mate, he will lose everything, every single penny, just invest in some notorious altcoin, that are soon to be launched and have some hype/raction, i see there is iconomi seems promising as a new ico even so i don't like ico too much
