Hello! Thanks for the feedback. I closed dogeon.ga as it was overloaded by continuous requests (from a bot, i think). So it's normal to not be able to access it.
I began to post on steemit. You can view my blog here: https://steemit.com/@mauncoin (there is only 2 posts for now, but i will write on ERC20, and also an introduceyourself post ...)
I wanted to blog with Jekyll platform, but it takes too much time to customize, and i am never satisfied. So i opted for steemit, despite the fact that's i'd like to have my own tuned site.
That's why i haven't come here for a moment.

Hi everybody ! I wish you all have a good year  Grin
The Dogeon Treasure faucet has been killed by an awful bot.
I gained no money with advertisment. And it is more profitable to trade dogecoin on cryptopia.
I'm developping a blog about cryptocurrencies, and bots won't be allowed to comment Grin
I'm sorry for people of bangladesh who have used dogeon.ga, i think dogecoin is interesting for them as it's about 4 doge to have a Taka.
Best regards.

Sorry to hear that. Good luck with your future projects

Hi everybody.
Thanks for your feedbacks.
IAMYOURLEADER and Kema, thanks a lot for supporting me.
Kema, can you tell me more about security? I can't figure how to protect my site against bot attack.
I'm no security expert, far from it and I'm learning new stuff every day myself. When my faucets were hit I was forced to implement some pretty drastic measures and I'm afraid a lot of innocent users got caught in the middle. My experience is that bots are just as adept at solving captchas as humans and they don't tire. There are lots of weaknesses that look secure on the surface and I don't know anything about the scripts out there since I've focused on writing my own instead. In the end I just cross my fingers and hope I've not made any big mistakes, it wouldn't be right for me to try and teach others when I'm still learning myself.

Hi everybody!
i have made some changes on my faucet:
  • BitCaptcha is now the default captcha
  • If you click on the shortlink, you double your reward
Hope you will find this great.

Dogecoin doesn't grow on value anymore. Consider LTC or Dash.
Doge has gone up lately, just saying...

Welcome and I hope you'll have as much fun running your faucet as I do.
Some tips...
  • Watch out for bot attacks, at some point you might get targeted and if you don't have your security measures ready to go, it can turn ugly very quickly.
  • Be sure to check that your content is in compliance with googles safe browsing policy or your site might suddenly start displaying ugly red warning pages.
  • reCaptcha is problematic for many people and it has everything to do with google's coding. Just be aware that reCaptcha might turn some people away, it's a judgement call. I have this problem myself with my faucets, I want to eliminate reCaptcha as much as possible but I can't control what the short link providers use... In fact, my faucet scripts (I write my own custom scripts) don't even use any captcha at all. It can be done...
  • Try to balance your expenses vs your earnings, a lot of new faucets go bust because they pay high rewards to attract traffic but they never manage to get liftoff. Making break even is a good thing with a new faucet.

Dogecoin is very popular so you have made a good choice and just continue to advertise you site everywhere like forums and social media like Facebook on bitcoin groups.

well I don't click random links so didn't open your faucet , but if you want to announce your site for other people you can check the board here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=212.0

people announce their faucets and other micro jobs there , so it may help you if you post about your site there

Can you elaborate what can you get wrong by clicking on that link ? Because I click many links daily I don't know what may happen.

OP very good I added now to my faucet list.

Some links take you to fake sites, make you download malware, etc

Often i get instantly linked to an ad site and cant rly use your site xD

After the third try it worked and then i saw you use recaptcha.

Thats really annoying...dont use it anymore. There are so many beautiful captchas out there Smiley
