I think the concept is really cool, however if the idea takes off and more people start donating, I believe you should up the btc amount. I really do like the idea, it's not that bad, but as I said it really needs to take off and I believe it can.

Hi!

After setting up bitcoind and looking over the API, I created a new Bitcoin Faucet I would like to share with everyone. It is currently paying out at 0.0001/day, but I hope to increase that. The site differs from others in that donations are put directly into the pool allowing for larger payouts. It also is not covered with ads.

You can find it here: http://freebtc.com

Let me know what you think!

Thanks! Will give it a try...

Without ads, you're either very generous and you're willing to do this loosing money, or you'll have a hard time financing your faucet. Don't expect an Anonymous Ads banner to get you money to pay everyone without having you spending some BTC of your own.

I think you might be right. I am trying to implement a roulette game with near-instant payouts to help offset the deficit... I've run into a bit of a quandary though -- how best to specify which number of the wheel you're betting on through a single transaction? If I go by the transaction amount, one would have to pay quite a bit to have a chance for one of the higher numbered pockets... Any ideas?

Yes, I don't like those 2 stage ones... bitcoin addict has one like that too.    Sad

Really? I have "scroll image to match" only.

If you have javascript turned off, or use some kind of ad blocker, then something else shows up where you have to jump through more hoops.

While FreeBTC.com may be somewhat buggy (it just sent me .1 coins instead of .0001), it's whole 133mhz holds a special place in my heart. Though, I've heard some rumors that the gentleman behind this faucet is considering upgrading to a powerhouse of a machine the next time he hits it big in satoshiDICE.

http://freebtc.com/ has recaptcha. Personally I find it less annoying than those slide to fit (I often have to slide both directions, plus it's an hassle to slide on some laptop mice). True, often it has difficult-to-read words, but just keep hammering the refresh button until something readable appears (I also found out recaptcha is more tolerant on hard-to-read words).

I will check it out and add it to the Free Bitcoin Sites list if it is legit.  Thanks.
