Your mother is a math teacher, have all the knowledge and wisdom to understand BTC things. It is easy for such people to accept and spend BTC. The problem is they aren't aware of the existence of BTC and someone need to give them a lesson.

So I got into a discussion with my mother and a friend of hers about Bitcoin today. I basically explained that it's sort of like currency and how one Bitcoin can easily sell for hundreds of dollars. My mother's a math teacher, so it wasn't hard for me to tell her that she could potentially earn Bitcoin by doing math tutoring when she's got some free time. And of course she was quick to see how Bitcoin could be used to help with math lessons, especially when it comes to decimals. Next step is probably going to be showing her how to download a wallet.
