Hello,

Two days ago I had 8.2BTC stolen from my account on yobit.net. the account had activated the 2f and notices to my email when someone loguea and makes a withdrawl.

even so someone between two days ago, sold all my coins to BTC and made a withdrawl to a wallet which I have identified in blockchain explorer.

Does anyone know what else I can do? yobit's support service has not yet answered me and I do not understand how they can overcome all these security measures.
Times without number it's being said that don't leave your funds on an exchange site, you can claim you don't know about that and times without number you have chosen to ignore. Now, you are left to bear your losses no matter the level of security you have, 2FA or 3FA you are still exposed. It might even be an insider job as a way to look at it.

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it. It has happened to me before but not to the extent of 8.2btc. I searched for answers but there is nothing to bring back my btc.

As far as my whole reading is concern, you know that you have no mistakes from your side in terms of security right? And you are sure about that. No one knows your account details, no one knows where you listed your passwords etc etc etc.

When new IP is detected for a Yobit session, an authorization code is needed and it will sent from your email. But since you haven't received even one email from them, it's kinda impossible to access it without your authorization. And also you have 2fa. So how? That's Weird.

Since there is no such thing like that, we can't blame anyone except the exchange itself. They are the only one who can help you here if we will based it on your whole story. Update us here if there's any progress.

So sorry for your loss, that's a really huge amount of money and I understand your frustrations. However, I don't think yobit can help you retrieve your money but you cant try to rack down the culprit though through the blockchain transactions and see if he is doing it all the time. But don't give your hopes that much since it had been converted to btc and withdrawn; it is irreversible.

Thats bad to read and Im sorry for your loss there. I have read many complaints about Yobit already and that they are a shady exchange. My personal experience with them was not bad until now. Hopefully this will stay like this and I wont encounter something similar. All the best for you.
Yobit is a shitcoin exchange, but they aren't thieves. OP very likely has somehow got his devices infected or whatever, but it's quite weird that he didn't get any notifications from Yobit itself.

He claims that Yobit got hacked, but if the hackers could gain access to his coins without any hassle and security measures, they could do so too with others, but OP is the only one going through this, which is strange.

I feel bad for OP, but it all looks like it's a problem on his side that has been exploited by a hacker, and not so much the fault of Yobit. The only entity that can help him gain more information is Yobit.

Yobit is known to have a bad support reputation, but eventually they will get back to you. Patience required.

Maybe there could be a hope, that yobit just moved your BTC to cold wallet for security reasons or account limit? Anyway, you should also post your case to Scam Accusations thread.

There is not much to do, you have lost those coins and unless you can track the hacker, something very unlikely, then those coins are lost, now the most important thing is to find out how you lost those coins, while I do not know the terms of services of yobit if it was their fault maybe you can eventually force them to give that money back to you but if it was your fault then you are never going to see that money again.

If so, have you been able to get into your account after this sad event? and if you were able to get into your account after that robbery, did you see the trade historic and the withdrawal historic?

if you did not receive withdrawal notification email or notification email that someone logged into your account, then the theft was internal, ie yobit stole your bitcoins

Like Op said have BTC8.2 and then someone sold your coins to BTC, a little bit confusing.
So, you did not have bitcoin, until someone sold your altcoin to btc? What kind of altcoin?
Then explain about second question; as you have 2fa on your mobile phone, did you receive any notification?

There are too many problems with yobit services since last year, and this case just another evidence that you should never keep coins in such shady trading platform. There is nothing you can do about it, unless you live in Russia, as yobit operated in there.

Don't you know what's the reputation of yobit? your fault is that you trusted them with this amount of bitcoin. If I were you, I'm not going to put all of that bitcoins on them. I may do some trades with them but not with that big. You had activated the 2FA feature of your account and yet you haven't received any withdrawal notification on your email? I think there is something wrong with your account or you've been compromised.

I did not use yobit or my devices on those days because I was on a 30 hour plane business trip. all measures of security were skipped, everything points to hacking a yobit, they are the ones who keep our money, they should cover if someone hacks and steals them

What's the update now they did replied to your question? There's an active admin on their chat and joins the conversation randomly, try to get in to that and timing it when he's online. I forgot the name of that guy, I understand that if you are sure off that there's no negligence happened to your account you'll be fine soon. But if there's no hope on my suggestion of talking to that support, you have to wait for luck to get into your query.

Exactly, I did not receive an email to start session or withdrawal, they skipped my 2fa. and they removed my btc. The worst thing is that 4 days later I do not answer my messages of support.

You see the history as they sold the coins for 1 hour, they did not liquidate fast and they left, but they were selling at a good price for more than an hour.

Sad to hear for your losses,  bitcoin is Irreversible system so you cannot get your money back but if you can share that Address and that Transaction ID here then I think people can keep an eye on that address and can track where the money has gone. I am sure whenever the hacker will try to withdraw the money out to exchange the money somewhere then we can catch him on that spot. And I do not think yobit support is going to help you with this.

Why on Earth would you be keeping that amount of bitcoin on YoBit or any other exchange? You can be as careful and secure as you want but if their security isn't that good, they'll get through them to peoples accounts. Sorry to hear that you lost that amount but there's nothing you can do. Even tho there's pretty much nothing you can do, this can serve as a great example of not to keep large amounts of btc or any coin on exchanges.

Dang, that's a huge amount.

It's important to note that 2fa is not a perfect way to protect yourself from hacks. Over the years even 2fa enabled accounts have gotten hacked successfully, and by storing such a big amount of coins on an exchange, you're taking on this risk.

Could it be possible that it was someone in your family or close friends that could have gotten hold of your 2fa device?

It's a lot of money you have lost. I was also using Yobit before but I stopped and it's really interesting how many scam accusation, or bitcon stolen complaints or poor customer service they are receiving all the time. Obviously they should be avoided and it's straneg how they still manage to do their business. I doubt that there is a way that you can return your coins and the only advice I can give you is that you don't deposit such big amount of bitcoins on any exchanger, ever.

If you know that there are many people complaining about their frozen funds and yobit never helped them. You are unfortunate for choosing them, can't you remember if you clicked some links or if someone sent you a yobit look a like website?
