there is no reason for you to hesitate in the market, those coins has a good competition in the market and also has good future in the market, as you see the price is not that good but that is the good time to enter investment in cryptocurrency and you will be a holder when you invest because you need to settle for a couple of months or even year/s in the market for you to earn a good profit.

ETH is having issues right now due to the hardfork and scalability problem the transactions are getting congested and causing a higher payment fee so investors and smart contracts isn't much attracted in using ETH as their payment or its blockchain network that's what affecting its price right now. I would suggest you go like 60%-70% of your portfolio on bitcoin and get it while they are still cheap, lol. As for ETH, there's a lot of factors that caused the price to really lost almost 90% now. One parameter that experts are looking is that most of the projects who became successful in the first 6 months decided to sell off their ETH to cover their production cost. And this cost a lot of panic and then a massive sell-off follows that really put the price to 2 digit mark. But it's not too late as I have said, both of them are really good for long term invested so buy now before the price goes on a bull run again.
Check it again, ETH has broken $100 barrier so this is the reason why its also a good coin to invest with.

My conclusion for your observation wouod be that there are more speculators with ethereum more than bitcoin. Bitcoin is widely used and better received worldwide compare to ethereum but the ICO favourite platform is ethereum platform ,that should explain why there are more speculators with ethereum more than bitcoin!

I think bitcoin still become the best choice to invest, even market still in red zone this is the right coins to replace money. Eth is also good but this time has bad price moving action because only have little demand. Use long term period and only 20% - 30% from your money to invest, never forget about stop loss.
It would be better if you could invest in both, namely bitcoin and ethereum, because this coin is the best coin in crypto and of course its potential is good for investment and in the future it will give you profit
In my side, I invested in eth as there is a big possibility that it will hit times 10 this coming bull run.

Split your investment funds, invest in both. Diversification is good especially when you have been in this market and seen how one coin can crash in a split second. Using Eth as a case study. I would advice you have both and other viable projects as well.

You can invest on both since both cryptocurrency is really promising. This two has a good long-term potential since both are widely use by investors, traders and developers. Most ICOs use ethereum platform, and most altcoins are either ethereum or bitcoin paired.
I had to choose to invest in bitcoin because there is possibility the price of bitcoin will go back in $15k in the end of this year, most of the analyst of crypto currency their prediction of bitcoin maybe reach in that price.
besides btc and eth, maybe xrp can be an option for further investment, considering xrp is also a good coin for the long term
Both. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, if you're not sure which to invest in then it's better if you diversify your portfolio and simply choose both. As of now, both are giving newcomers optimal entry-points, especially if you're going for a long-term holding plan. Although, I do recommend to allocate a bigger % of your investment into Bitcoin, probably 60% BTC and the rest in ETH, just so you can have bigger gains in btc in the long run.
