Please kindly confirm the address you make this transaction on please by pasting it here, so that we can be sure you have not gone to make transaction on a wrong site because this is very strange to me as regard blockchain, it is not uncommon that transactions do get delayed, sometime it could even take more than that 12 hrs, and since you have done the right thing, your transaction should never exceed 24 hrs.latest.

Blockchain would never ask you for such amount of money and if you had not have enough balance for your transaction, you would not have even been able to proceeded, so it is not a matter of not having enough balance to carry on your operation, before I conclude that you have been scammed b a different site entirely, I would like you to post the url here.

Don't pay anything. You probably landed on a phishing/scam site that hides as blockchain.com(.info).

As long as your transaction is on the network, you just have to wait until it gets confirmed. What's the exact website that told this to you?

Hi,

I am new with bitcoin.
Yesterday registered at blockchain and made a transaction. AS i do not have experience, looks like the fee is to low (0,06 euro)
The fee was automatically calculated by the site. So i expected all was correct.

Now the payment after 12 hours is still unconfirmed.

I contacted blockchain support and the say that after i deposit 100 euro extra they proceed with the transaction that is stuck.

Is this correct what they say?

Just want your opinion.

thank you
I don't know, sounds like a scam to me. That's the problem with blockchain.com that there are many phishing websites. They can look identical and only have a slightly different URL. The real one has the Blockchain Luxemburg SSL. Just like others said, I encourage you to share the URL with us and not deposit any money prior to making sure it's the real Blockchain website and support. While 0.06 is a small fee, it's about today's regular fee for a $100 transaction. It's just that with the regular fees you have to wait up to 24 hours, possibly longer, so in the future, you should consider using the priority fee. But depositing 100 EUR does not sound like something that can solve the problem to me, so be careful.

Please provide us the URL which you think belongs to 'blockchain'.

You never need to pay any fee to get your transaction 'unstuck'.
This is most probably a scam site.

Do NOT pay anything, check the transaction on a blockexplorer whether it really has been sent.

The only official site to access blockchain.com is https://blockchain.com, former https://blockchain.info (which now redirects to .com).

Uhh, what? Blockchain support for your transaction? They do not facilitate transactions within the network; they are a wallet service and that's it. If your tx is RBF and they asked you to pay extra 100 bucks to get your confirms, it simply means that you are not the owner of the wallet completely since they are doing the said method on your behalf. Also, this is the first time I've read that blockchain support asks for money for confirms.

I had a whatsapp contact of backchain on facebook. Probably that was fake!!.

I did not desposit extra money. Just waited and now the transaction is confirmed.

How can i report such scam???

thank you for help!

Telegram has a report button I think. The fake Blockchain wallet group will show warning sign in red once enough people have report it. I guess you could post the group link here so members can help you report it.
Telegram seems to be taking scam reports more seriously these days.

I hope "Backchain" is a typo, because the legit online wallet provider is actually Blockchain.info or Blockchain.com  Also, where did you get the WhatsApp contact for support, because they do not have such an option.  Roll Eyes

All Scam accusations are placed under this topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 on this forum. You can also report this to https://badbitcoin.org if it is a scam site.  Wink

How can i report such scam???
if it is a fake facebook page or profile impersonating blockchain.com site

Only open links/contact addresses from official website, never ever use anything that someone posts in public.
By the way if any bitcoin wallet would require some money in exchange of confirmation, that would be btc.com's transaction accelerator but that happens online automatically on website without using any whatsapp and etc.
In future, you can consider viabtc.com's tx accelerator and also as far as I remember, user on this forum, QuickSeller can include your transaction in f2pool.

That is of course fake, I have never made contact with any support using social media. It's better to use contact support on the official Blockchain site or email. If indeed the fee recommended by Blockchain I think you do not need to worry because it will be confirmed later just a little patience.

Probably he could've contacted through Telegram searching for blockchain.info and there we can find users stating themselves support assistant. I encountered an issue with Binance and requested support through Telegram searching in similar way. Initially explained well and further asked for account credentials and suggested to deposit bitcoin so that issue gets rectified. I just left the conversation, so be careful and identify whether you've made things explained with the right support team.

i can testify this. there are fake Blockchain.info and Coinbase support on Telegram. having a group with a large number of users and somewhat looks promising, but they'll ask you to deposit more in order to process your stuck transaction.

op, I'm afraid you won't be able to speed it up as blockchain.info don't support CPFP either (cmiiw).

How exactly did the blockchain support send you this information requesting the 100 euros as well. Was it by a ticketing system, email, etc? The more information you can provide us, the better. For example, if emails, we can request certain headers within the email which would suggest whether it's truly coming from BlockChain.info.

You probably contacted wrong blockchain.info support, as far as I know, such bitcoin wallet providers don't ask any extra payment for every transactions.
It much better if you can provide the website you used if it that is real blockchain info, second try also to share your transaction ID here and check if it is really correct receiving address.

Most probably you have fallen prey to a phishing scam! If you have the transaction hash, go ahead and check the status using the below link,

https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/

See if it has indeed gone into the blockchain. If the transaction is showing in the blockchain, then you are good! In worst case, a bitcoin transaction may take upto 14 days to get confirmed! But that's super super rare!

Where did you contact blockchain's support? That support could be fake because blockchain.com doesn't offer any transaction accelerator afaik.

I also recommend CPFP which bounty mentioned. If you still have enough bitcoins left on your wallet at least for a recommended fee you can make another transaction with your unconfirmed balance to speed up the confirmation time of your low fee transaction.
