It took bitcoin 3 almost 4 years before it hit that amount. I consider bitcoin to be a long term investment. Those of us that got into bitcoin when it was next to nothing got lucky. Its not a get-rich-quick scheme that most newbies think that it is. Bitcoin is a very volatile commodity/currency. Its going to take a lot more time and lot more development before we see wide spread acceptance. So, buy while its low, because one day we will be saying. "Remember when bitcoin was just a few hundred dollars a piece?"

We are going to have many ups and downs, but the real test is where it will be in 5, 10, 15 years from now..

It was a golden time when BTC hit 1200$ mark, but now it again has to make a long journey[520 currently]
However, I hope this day will not be too long Wink

Hope is not enough! If moon is over $1000 - then you should buy 18K BTC - and voila - bitcoin is at moon!

I think we might reach 900 dollars sometime in 2015, barring any huge Black Swan events.

This rebound doesn't mean that we are going upwards in the mid term (but I hope so),
only time will tell if we have broken the downtrend.

We broke the down trend months ago we havent had any lower lows since, next move is either sideways or upwards to $700

Well the market has started to recover, but one has to be realistic. First let's wait for levels prior to this 'minor crash' and let's see from there.
I do not think however that the next trend up will be right now but who knows. It's nice to see that the market has started bouncing back (of most coins).

It really isn't even a minor crash... The %drop is less than any other crashes we've had...
Well the problem is that people tend to consider it a crash. Even the media does, saying like bitcoin crashed to $500. While the drop was actually very slim and we've started to recover.  From that close at 475$ just a few days ago to above $500 again.

it looks to me like a breakout on the 1hr and 4hr time frames, but will have to confirm on the 4hr with a couple closes. daily looks like a shooting star at the moment, which tells me ...... the bear is still with us. Tongue

i think we see sub-500 again in the next day or two. hard to say how bearish it gets before then.

you should see the incoming $300 huge crash

Hard to see the price going down after it hit 535 earlier today.

I wouldn't expect 300 crashed for at least a few weeks.

actually it's because it went down at this level that i think it's still bearish. if we broke $530s and especially $560, full retard margin long time. but no, still reversed at expected resistance from the looks. still waiting for confirmation, but it's close enough to call almost....

I would state that we are going to stabilise again around the $500-600 mark very quickly. Then with that upward momentum push further, but who knows...

not gonna happen, we will soon drop back to $4xx and break into $3xx after this fake recover
