meanwhile we are getting ready to leave with the rocket, and laugh at all your inflation and the corruption of banks.

Delusional optimism, dumb animal greed and self-righteousness, all muddled into a single sentence.

hey im no expert but i consider OP's decision a smart one. a profit is a profit. enjoy it and dont regret if it still goes up later. if the trend still proves strong i would maybe buy some to day trade with from the nice stash you have now. its also a good idea to leave some and not sell all as others have said here. so you dont fully miss out just in case. looking at the charts it looks to me like the momentum is not as strong now. lets not forget that a good part of this upward movement is from hyped up masses who donk know much about crypto. just my 2 satoshis

I hope you're happy with your worthless fiat.

Worthless? I mean I can pay bills with it that I can't with Bitcoin. Taking profits is not a bad thing I don't know why people think that. Sure it goes higher but a locked dollar is a dollar you didn't have before. The world runs on fiat not btc

A wise man once said; that you don't get rich at work. You get rich by doing your homework.

Well done. A Dump wave is about to happen. You were smart, you got out before the shitstorm begins. Do you all think that pump will last forever? I don't know who or which company is crazy enough to buy btc like that but soo it will be over.

Actually i don't think so... although the past has had a lot of pumps and selloffs, this time i expect the market to go sideways for a long time after the pump, mainly due to the halving.  new supply is cut in half and investors know it will be cut in half again in 4 years.

Nothing wrong with taking the profit. It might even be the smartest as the rise for halving may slow down and then people start panic dumping...good to lock in.

taking the profit what it ever means? the only time i would sell bitcoin, it's only to buy back later, and have even more

there is no "i'm out of this" ever, bitcoin will be the currency of the future, it's already obvious, it's not just a p&d..

Selling was ok, shorting not so smart to do (unless you shorted wit a very small amount).

Good luck anyway!
yeah, it was a pretty dumb deccission to sell to be honest, i definitely not recommend doing that

people told me to sell on 200 dollar mark though i told them all that it is going to increase soon

Sold my coins today.  Bitcoin is overbought now.

I've sold everything yesterday, before the pump. Think in which condition I'm right now  Cry but I'm happy the same, I've made a nice profit Smiley

Real profits are always better than paper profits.

BTC has gone up too fast. Ask yourself, would you be buying right now? If the answer is no, then other people are thinking this too, and without buyers, it will come back down again.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/this-week-i-bought-300-btc-700-before-1000-total-786277
This week I bought >300 BTC (+700 before > 1000 total)

If he sold then he has no profit.  His average is well over 600,  he was crying all way down and tried to lower his average price,  perhaps he bought into ath first.
He is lying.

He said he was buying at 400, but he could have bought at 200 for a year afterwards. Now he says he's selling at 600, but he could probably sell at 1200+ for years afterwards. It's testing 700 now, and he shorted at 600.

If he does not tell lies now or earlier then he is shorting more then 1000BTC now

He had to move first 1000BTC to an exchange...

The topic opener claims he sold all coins, it means (checking his post history) he sold at least 1000 BTC yesterday and now shorting ...

Are you all retard who comment this topic and does not see that the topic opener is a liar or what?

If you had 1000 BTC would you sell all ? ( and go shorting)

Nobody reads back in this topic?

Sold my coins today.  Bitcoin is overbought now.

from one side, you did good thing by selling bitcoins at 650$ each, as you probably bought it for less than that, so you got good profit, so it is good that you din't want to risk more to get more

but from other side, i am sure that price will rise to more than 650$, price at this moment is 700$ for example and it won't stop here so you could get even more profit if you would sell later

In my opinion, no bitcoin is not overbought and I doubt it can ever be overbought because there are always sellers like you who are willing to cash out at a certain price in time.

But again, it's up to you. Your personal preferences matter.

Could be. If you want to be safe obviously you'd like to cashout whenever there is a profit. I'm expecting some further increases in price though before the halving actually approaches.

You could always buy in when it's cheap. No big deal.

You sold your bitcoins? For what? Fiat?

Sucker.

Hey, people have bills to pay and not everyone takes btc for payment. Some people are forced to sell but not him, he sold because he's silly.

Indeed. I almost sold $100 worth today because I was short on pocket cash. Luckily I ran into someone who owed me a few hundred so I didn't need to.

If you absolutely are forced to sell coins, now's as good a time as any in the last couple of years, I suppose.
