draw a circle, lay a dead chicken, spill its blood, then shout for 3 hours nonstop(or it will not work) , tell your wallet to comeback, thats it

For more wallet protection.
I create an online wallet on Blockchain.info for exemple and after than add it to Bitcoinqt or multibit
Like that you can't loose your private key or something like that ^^

Yeap but what if someone hacks your account from blockchain.info?Huh I would recommend you to activate 2FA!!!!!

also you can just print the private key and keep it safe .... or you can even memorize it ... like this guy did https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/finally-memorized-my-private-key-d-722221

ok my password at last worked
i do not understand because before it did not

I found other users who had my same trouble
"Multibit wallet password that worked previously will now not work. I am positive I have made no mistakes with typing in the password and as I have said the password worked last time I used it. Is there a solution to this or are my $500 odd worth of coins out of reach for good?"

What do you think about the wallet electrum?

Just make a copy of your private keys, make sure your read their instructions on multibit to make sure you are doing right and are secure.  But, it sounds like maybe your caps where on, or something silly. At least you got it to work..

That's my advice, if you plan to recover these lost satos don't write to the disk nothing but the recovery software, better if you start the software from an external device.
For sure, the next time put the wallet.dat in some sd cards and put in a safe place, just in case to recover because a hardware failure.

Everything can be recovered! You just need the right software .  But for 0.007 I don't think it's worth the hassle ... anyway if they are sentimental BTC for you then I'm sure we can help you find a program that can recover your data!

ok my password at last worked

I'm glad things are working for you. This answer is a little late, but for future reference, MultiBit also creates encrypted backup files of the private keys as explained here which can be imported should the wallet file become corrupted for some reason.

What do you think about the wallet electrum?

It's biggest advantage of course is that it's a deterministic wallet: as long as you write down/print out your seed, you can always recreate the wallet with all its keys should you run into any trouble.

On the down side, it relies on a somewhat centralized system for checking transactions and balance (compared to MultiBit), and it doesn't scale well to thousands of addresses. These are pretty minor concerns if you ask me though.

MultiBit HD which is MultiBit's deterministic wallet is getting closer to release (although it's downside is that it probably won't be entirely free...)

Hello to all bitcoin community...
I am in trouble and I hope some  of you can help me
I use multibit and I am sure that I have not forgotten my password for spending my bitcoin (I wrote it down), but my password simply doesn't work any more and I don't know why...my bitcoin wallet receive payments well. What can be happened?
I would be grateful if someone of you coul give me an help...

Luca
Either you typed wrong when you decided what your password would be, or you wrote down the wrong password.

i would exlude it , because I already sent a payment with that password and everything went well...
could it be a trouble concerning the pathways of multibit wallet files?

Are you sure you haven't gotten drunk lately and accidentally changed the password, and well, not remember? Wink
Anyway, how much was in that wallet?

o,069 btc
isn't it possible a virus has changed my password?
can i bruteforce it? i am sure to remembere the most of the password....where can i find i software for brutecforcing?
