maybe all of us have made a mistake with altcoin. if we know the price of alcoin in the future the new error does not happen. even so we will still like things like this.
I really love and hate altcoins because I've been through so much after all the years now
I've made a lot of profit and lost a lot too

But I do not understand why to blame the altcoins for the mistakes you make. In any case, the real purpose for which many of the truly important altcoins have been designed goes beyond mere accumulation of wealth. We should especially love bitcoin because it is a first step to defeat the current abusive economic system of centralized fiat money.
But if you have lost money on the road because of your tendency to speculate with the altcoins, that is something where the altcoins themselves have nothing to do, and it is a clear sign that you should learn better the most responsible trading techniques.
I am fascinated with altcoins and what ideas some devs have come up with to adopt the blockchain into. Its kind of like the music industry where there is so many groups trying to make it in the industry. I think its a great time in history to be apart of this while the majority of the world is still sleeping. 
We are still far far away from a real world situation Where everybody's mom would have an altcoin/bitcoin or use it in day to day life.
I really hate the pumping and dumping of premined/scammed coins. FOMO train seems to be strong in some cases. I do hope they will derail in the end (better sooner than later)

Some alts will change the world, most will unfortunately fizzle out over time. The good alts will be transparent from the start, which makes investment decisions markedly better than the era internet stock era. The bad alts will pump and fall away
Altcoins are my best friends, I felt their love when they gave me 50x, 100x or even 200x return of my investment. With that I never hated them no matter what.
Only if you manage to always make a profit by the way. You'll feel the opposite once you've invested into a wrong altcoin and then your wallet got busted.And if I recall correctly, only very few of altcoin which could give more than 100x investment return and only early birds could have such profits.
I love altcoin because I have profited a lot because of it but I hate it at the same time whenever a pump team pump a certain coin because they want to earn money from it and people will start FOMO and then dump it when they realize that its too late for them.
Why you hate that? If do not have that happens, you never have profit on market, because do not have loser helps you buy your coin .This is rules of marketplace, always have winner and loser at here, you shouldn't think we are winner all and have not loser.
When I get a big profit, this is very fun and loves that coin,
but when we are not in a good position, this is very annoying.

I love altcoin because I have profited a lot because of it but I hate it at the same time whenever a pump team pump a certain coin because they want to earn money from it and people will start FOMO and then dump it when they realize that its too late for them.
I love altcoins. They makes me happy

You should not hate you should not love you should simply understand and manipulate the market. Should take advantage of the town's, and that sell out at the highs. It is a simple Market manipulated by simple sets of information, including rumors, announcements, hearsay, and outright guessing.
The question is do you want to be one of those on the side that's guessing or one of those on the side that's taking advantage of everybody else that's guessing. Game is not about love or hate, the true spirit is the passion to get the profit out of altcoins.

Everyone is looking for the quick buck. Which in turn leads to heavy buy in's on ICO and heavy sell outs ounce they are released. I have done ICO's and what I buy I keep and I reap with rewards later. But the whole idea of buying an ICO and then dumping it doesn't make sense to me. Quick bucks disappear as fast as they come. If you take your time sit down research a crypto find out all what you need to and then invest you will see you wont need to feel the urge to sell. Feel confident in what you invest in. and ALWAYS only invest what you can afford to loose. I think thats the golden rule in trading.
The problem with alts was the bad reputation they used to have, simply because the majority of them are just cloned copies of some other coin, tweaked a little bit and then put out to mine and sell quickly.
Then the idea of ICO tokens. Selling nothing for something. Like you said, everyone just wanted to make money. Almost no one was honest about technology or helping the world by providing a better coin.

I am a new player in the world of cryptocurrency. I still have much to learn again. But happy and hard have started I feel too. the sense of difficulty melting when we get a decent result ....
For me its a way to learn without making any 'big' moves.. yet
Ive held 20k dash when they were darkcoin, 341k blackcoin, 500k neos, 28k btcd, 1 million syscoin, 3500 eth, 40k waves and 13k monero. Each time I thought I found "The One", something else comes along to distract me. Overall, I would have rather held the nearly 200 btc that I splashed around from $10 to $43xx now. But I don't regret because now I know a winner when I see one.
loving altcoin is when altcoin prices are very high, and hating altcoin when the low price is very reasonable thing. Considering getting altcoin also requires capital, but for the current month looking at a very high altcoin price it seems wrong if it hates altcoin.
