Hi ElenV,

I work with Kraken. Among many other things I manage our main thread here:

Could you PM me your Kraken public account ID (found under Account > Settings) so I can look into this for you?

You should not mention 'bitcoin' within 20 blocks of your bank. Even if they are bitcoin-neutral now, they can close your account tomorrow. Open a new account somewhere else now.

Get your money out of all exchanges and online wallets. This is the season for 'hacks' and failures. Use otc to buy/sell.

Open a ticket with Kraken if you feel like it.

Hello all,

Something really weird happened. I traded a few BTC in Kraken for USD. I then initiated a PayCash withdrawal to my european bank account. After, i gave it a better thought and cancelled the withdrawal because I read they were having problems with USD transactions.

Then, I traded these USD for BTC again. Then I traded these BTC for EUR and made a SEPA withdrawal to my bank account.

And now this is where it becomes unusual: The EUR withdrawal arrived to my bank account alright. 2 days later it was there, all good, no problem, I was happy.

7 days later, I get a PayCash deposit on my bank account, stating the exact same amount of USD I previously tried to withdraw from Kraken. The same one I had previously cancelled. So, i got now in my bank DOUBLE the money that I withdrew.

I went to my bank and tried to explain the situation. They did not know about Kraken ( ??) and they said the deposit to my bank account was made via PayCash ( the second) and the first via SEPA and they did not know much more.

So....what happened here? What should I do?

Thanks!
