Hey I have a different HIS 7950 (the reference one) and it too wasn't listed in the mining wiki. It took a ton of playing around but I finally have mine happily mining at 615 KH/s. Here is the guide and settings that I used:

I followed this wonderful guide to get my setup working: http://www.overclock.net/t/1461916/tutorial-ultimate-guide-to-tweaking-amd-cgminer-3-7-2-kalroth-edition-sgminer-instructions-included-aswell-get-the-most-hash-out-of-your-gpu

The only thing that I did differently from the guide is I used the new version of sgminer 4.1 which supports xintensity like cgminer-kalroth. It seems like the OP is in the process of updating the tutorial with this info but for the time being you can just read the xintensity section for the kalroth version and apply the logic to sgminer.

Settings:

1. I used the optimized sgminer 4.1 instead of regular cgminer.
2. I set xintensity to 4, gpu-threads to 2 , and I set thread concurrency to 8193. I tried tons of thread concurrencies but this worked way better than all the others as noted in the guide.
3. I set memclock to 1350 and gpu-engine to 1000. This is absolutely critical as the memclock seems to have the biggest effect on the hashrate. For example, if i set memclock to 1340 or 1360 I would only get 550 KH/s, but at 1350 I get 615 Kh/s.
4. Powertune and worksize seem to do nothing for the hashrate. I didn't set a powertune, I used 256 for worksize.

Example bat:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
timeout /t 4
sgminer.exe  -o stratum+tcp://us.clevermining.com:3333 -u WORKER_NAME -p PASSWORD --xintensity 4 --thread-concurrency 8193 --gpu-threads 2 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1350

So this guy has another thread on reddit as well with the same OMG title.

http://www.reddit.com/r/dogemining/comments/1zmn8j/i_messed_up_messed_up_badly/

The solution to the problem is return your card!  HIS, PowerColor and Club3D brand of 7950 doesn't product 700+ hash rate.

I was told to expect at least 550-600 Kh/s with this card but I can barely get to 490!  Cry

Oh my God, why is this happening to me?

...

You sir are over-reacting.

Ha ha yes.  When I saw this thread I was expecting to hear a story about losing a wallet with 1000 BTC or some catastrophe of sorts.  Instead the guy is only getting 90% of his expected hash rate.  LOL

you need to do a proper driver cleanup, you have catalyst control center installed which is also a mistake.
https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=11001.msg79830#msg79830
cleanup

undervolting:
http://www.cryptobadger.com/2013/10/undervolting-in-linux-via-modified-bios/

this will help with temperatures and hashrate if you do the cleanup properly

Can't believe no one has asked this:

What drivers are you using? Are you using the  14.1 or 14.2 beta drivers? If so, uninstall them, and go back to the 13.12 drivers. You lose ~100kh with the 14.1b drivers.

Make sure you're using the setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 and setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 commands, and make sure the environment variables show the change IN CAPS. If the system env variables are lowercase, it won't work.

I'm using the 13.4 drivers.

Anyhow, here are my results from testing all night. The "best numbers."

And once again, they're all terrible. Shocked

Stock: 486 hash and 71 temp.

Stock/10% power boost: 500 hash and 77 temp.

1130/1500/No Power Boost: 486 hash and 72 temp.

1050/1500/10% power boost :
561 hash and 83 temp

1150/1250/10% power boost : 525 hash and 81 temp. Little bit of artifacting.

1150/1250/20% power boost = 510 hash and 82 temp. Little bit of artifacting.

I have to ramp this card up to it's limit and sky high temps and even THEN I still get nothing.

Set it to +20%.
Set memory speed to 1500. (Not 1501+. 1500 maximum.)

Okay, here's the latest settings with that config.

Still not even hitting 600. Sad

I noticed when I tried increasing the core clock past 1050, I started seeing all these weird artifacts and glitches on the screen. I'm guessing that isn't a good sign.

I have this card and get 650, TC 22400, engine 1050, mem 1425 -g 1 -i 19
Undervolted the card to 1.131 and it runs cooler without hitting the hash.

You are making a huge mistake. You put no-submit-stale in, but you are mining on a multi-pool. This is bad.

Okay, I removed that bit.

This is my current .bat config with your suggestions.

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

sgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://us.clevermining.com:3333 -u btaddress -p x -I 19 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 22400

But this time, I turned the "Power Control" setting in CCC to 10%. It was previously at 0%.

I got a small boost! But still, I'm not getting the full hash rate.

Delete the bin file in the cgminer directory and run the settings I listed before.

 -I 20 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 22400  or 24000

Core:  1150

Memory: 1250

The bin file won't always change when you adjust your settings so you need to delete it first. You can tell by the modified date on it and if there are multiple bin files get rid of all of them.

Once it starts hashing well if you see numbers next to "HW" then you need to lower the intensity since those are hardware errors. Those settings I gave are common for a 7950.

Did exactly what you said. Same setting and I deleted the bat file.

Still not budging past 500.

Are you using windows?

Then make a new TXT file and type:

color 02
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
c:/sgminermap/sgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://us.clevermining.com:3333 -u btadress -p x -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-fan 85 --scan-time 1 --queue 4 --no-submit-stale

now safe it as a .bat and run it.

I would try over clocking your hardware with MSI afterburner and remove --gpu-fan 85 from the bat file.  and increase -I to 20.

Tried yours as well. Deleted the bin file, made a fresh .bat with these settings.

Still no good. Sad

maybe use the gpu-powertune 20 command as sometimes the gpu's get throttled underload which can cause a low hash rate.

have you got MSI afterburner installed yet?

Do you know how I can fix this?

I tried boosting the clocks to 1150/1500 but it didn't make a difference. I'm still not even breaking 500. Sad

change intensity to 20...

Set it to 20, still no difference.

Try:

 -I 20 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 22400  or 24000

Core:  1150

Memory: 1250

sapphire Trixx is a good tool for adjust clock/mem speed

Are you sure you can handle the stress of mining?

SAME PROBLEM! No dice.  Cry

Oh my God, why is this happening to me? I followed the instructions EXACTLY on their site and I can't even get the bare minimum with this card....

yes slight over-exaggeration here...

so, download MSI afterburner and install that.  Try that for adjusting fan speeds.

Increase the intensity from 13 to 17 or 18 and see what you get.   Then you need to play around with clock settings and you will easily get somewhere btw 550 and 700.
