Not sure I follow your math there sir.

There is a 100% chance I will pay the lender back. The BTC community is far to small to turn and burn people over such small amounts of money.

The funds to pay them back however. May not come 100% from my mining operations. More likely my paycheck will be used against a large portion of this loan to settle it quickly.

Now your loan will pay back 2.5 BTC or 1.25x. This means your chances of repaying must be at least 80% just to break even. It is obvious that the chance of this loan being repaid is closer to ~20%, based on previous cases.

That's a generous number Cheesy
Hey, every time a newbie lends another newbie the loan seems to be repaid! Cheesy

Going by the past deals in this forum, there's a 99%+ chance that if you give out a loan, you will not get your money back.  You're better off playing the 50% addy at Satoshi Dice. Not only is the % return a LOT higher, but you actually have a much better chance of winning.

expected value.

Say you have a 50% chance to get 2.1x. The EV of that is 1.05.

Sorry to say this but this loan is -EV. It is throwing your money away.

Doesn't matter if you have good intentions, doesn't matter if you repay, it is still -EV.

Don't blame people on there actions?

That is the silliest thing I've ever heard.

So you can be a stranger that I have never met, come ask me to give you 200$+ and I refuse so you have to blame me for that ?.

Meh,you sure you know who is the silly one here ?

I find it silly that people will give known scammers hundreds of dollars worth of BTC without so much as a whim..

Yet for someone who's never scammed in their life and would like to prove they are trustworthy.. Get shot down like fire. :/

Yup.Some already took their chances and gave chances to people like you and it turned out to be a masked known scammer.
Don't blame people on their actions, put yourself instead of them then decide the choice.I know maybe you are not a scammer but,you gotta understand how people feel.
I had troubles getting a loan myself. But I can't blame them really as I have suffered scammers a lot in my life myself.

Ahh. I just noticed that.. Maybe I will avoid him.. Kinda smells scammy. I agree.

Only things I have for collateral are far greater in cost then 2BTC (Turntables, DJ gear, Studio monitors).
I'm hoping to establish myself on this forum.. I have no intention of giving up my good standing in the community. :/
