On-chain TXs sent from Exchanges typically are overpaid, since they prioritize user experience over minimizing fees. When you use a wallet that gives you more control over the fees you use, such as the OP did by using Electrum, you can tweak the fees to a better rate. This does entail a certain risk in terms of TX delay, if you set the fee rather low and/or there is a sudden sustained spike in TX activity, making the mempool more competitive and generally relegating TXs with lower fees.

If the TX is created with the RBF flag, then one can resolve the issue without too much hassle. It’s just that the learning curve over the first time or two that you encounter this may get a little bit bumpy, providing some minor arrhythmias until you get used to it and know what to do to resolve it.

Note: Just for the record, the OP’s TX went through after performing a RBF, as can be seen by going over the small amount of posts in this thread.

There’s no big deal. You just need to calm down and patiently wait unless you haven’t sent the transactions to the wrong address. It’s only 12 hours. Due to the busy network it may sometimes take 4-6 weeks for the transaction to get confirmed.

We could help you much easier if you put the transaction id here if you did use the correct address for the destination address you do not need to be worry because you will finally get your transaction confirmed even after months but it will finally get confirmed. However there are a few things you can do to make it get confirmed faster, for example, you depending on your transaction type you can increase the transaction fee or you can use the free or paid transaction accelerators.

To avoid incidents like this in the future always use a reasonable fee while sending Bitcoin, it's all good a user has helped accelerate the transaction to get confirmed but learn from your mistake any time you was t to get a faster Bitcoin transaction always use high fees or be ready to wait endlessly if you use a low fee.

Seems like the issue had been resolved already @OP, you should locked up this thread to prevent further replies.

On topic reply, situations like these about stuck transactions or unconfirmed is usually a fee issue whether it is low on the current default fee which means it is on less priority.

Good thing when you do make use of Electrum is that you could re-broadcast your certain transaction with much higher fee. This is why its important on setting out
sufficient fee if you are really in a rush.

Now, it depends what transaction fees did you choose? Is it possible for you to give us your transaction id or Bitcoin address?
OP successfully transferred its funds to the receiving address, for the transaction id you can back read and check that the transaction id was posted by op already.

Hello, This kind of situation has happened to me a few times now, one time, a transaction of mine was stuck for 3 entire days on average fees. Sometimes, transactions get stuck and take a long time to get confirmed. Now, it depends what transaction fees did you choose? Is it possible for you to give us your transaction id or Bitcoin address?

Seems like op did successfully transferred his coins to the same address on the transaction id posted as mentioned.

Once, with 2sat/b transaction I have waited more than a month before it was confirmed.
That's pretty long, good thing if you don't need the funds but if it's somewhat urgent then waiting days particularly for a month is not alright anymore. The network usually drop transactions that are too long to confirm or have lower fee compare to the recommended fees.

You need to Post tx id here, or check some state block explorer of that transaction. we will watch and guide you on what trades you are doing Sometimes the trades get stuck and I have had a situation where the transaction was stuck for 10-15 hours. currently the fee is quite high I think Chances are you have set the fee too low and it is best to wait until the fee goes down and it will be confirmed. it's only a matter of time so wait and follow your tx id it will give you more peace of mind about confirmed transactions.

In the OP’s final RBF, I figure the selected fee was more related to what Electrum suggested to use as fee, than an actual forced minimum made by Electrum (which I’ve yet to encounter). I haven´t used RBF that much myself, but not that long ago I bumped a TX (so as to say) by going from 1 sat/vbyte to 2 sats/vbyte flawlessly. I think I recall doing a RBF on a RBF TX (applied RBF twice), much like the OP, without any issue, but I’m not 100% certain I eventually really did push the RBF twice.

Edit:

If you read this thread from top to bottom, you’ll see that the TX id is already posted. What’s more, following the involved addresses you’ll see that the RBF was executed, as stated here.

It would probably have been picked-up pretty quickly for a bit less (judging by https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,2h,count), but I figure you wanted to resolve the TX ASAP.

It may also be related to this, but I don't have experience with RBF so I don't know for sure:

I was under the impression I could use RBF to increase the fee a tiny bit. Yesterday I made a transaction that took hours to confirm, but when I tried to increase the fee, Electrum told me it's too low. Even using 2.5 sat/byte (which was recommended by the RBF popup) didn't work, and I couldn't broadcast the signed transaction through Coinb.in either.
[...]
Does that mean the minimum increase is based on a fixed amount instead of an amount per byte? That would mean a 1 sat/byte SegWit transaction (111 bytes, so 111 sat total fee) would have to be increased to 1111 sat (11 sat/byte) instead of just - say - 222 sat (2 sat/byte)?
I hadn't really used RBF yet, but if this is true it's not really useful if your goal is to pay a low fee. Even CPFP would be cheaper in this case.

Well, it looks like you fixed the situation, by issuing a RBF TX at a rate of 18 sats/vbyte (prior TX was 5,40 stats/vbyte) to ensure a quick reception. It would probably have been picked-up pretty quickly for a bit less (judging by https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,2h,count), but I figure you wanted to resolve the TX ASAP.

Usually, if the Bitcoin price was gaining momentum like today the Bitcoin Network congestion will follow and I think that's normal, as I am writing this reply I had a stuck Bitcoin transaction for more than three hours already so just don't panic if your Bitcoin was sent on the right address it will come for sure.

If you check current state of mempool, you would see a huge number of unconfirmed transaction (https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,2w,weight). If you can change (increase) your transaction fee from 3sat/b, you might fasten your transaction. Otherwise your would wait for days or a week.

Waiting 12hours while bitcoin price is jumping is normal. Once, with 2sat/b transaction I have waited more than a month before it was confirmed.

Ok mate I done  (File->New/Restore, make sure you use the current seed) and everything is back to normal just the unconfirmend transaction is there anything I can do to raise the fee, Thanks for your halp

Do you get the same error when you right-click and rise the fee? (in this new wallet)
If you don't get error, please make sure you Sign and Broadcast (you enabled advanced preview, right?)

Can anyone tell me what this message means because I cant do anything like send other coin to a different wallet

I think that your wallet has some mess in it. I think that you tried to increase fee and didn't broadcast the transaction, then tried again based on a tx that's not broadcasted.

Imho one easy way out would be to create (restore) a new wallet from the same seed and work on that one, it may show a more correct state. (File->New/Restore, make sure you use the current seed)
I also advise you have advanced preview on (Tools->Preferences->Transactions) and when sending a transaction make sure you clicked Sign and also Broadcast.

The server returned an error when broadcasting the transaction.
Consider trying to connect to a different server, or updating Electrum.

You might have a local transaction in your wallet that this transaction builds on top. You need to either broadcast or remove the local tx.

Op, first, you should know that it's okay and if you sent it to the right address, it will get there. Sometimes transactions get stuck, and I've experienced situations with transactions stuck for 10-15 hours. My friend once had to wait for something like a week, even. In the end, it's just a matter of time. Now, can you show us the transaction? Is it still stuck? Also, do you remember the fee you paid? There was a spike in average fees recently, and it's often in moments like this that your transaction gets stuck because the fee is too low now. For instance, $3.55 is currently the average fee. You can also calculate the fee in another way, of course, but it's just a useful website for beginners, IMO. Chances are, you set the fee too low, and it's just best to wait it out until the fees get lower and it will get confirmed. But the question is, of course, how low you set it.

The Transaction on blockchain is

I keep getting a problem now that I am trying to clear whats left of my coin out about changing server but I have done this also I get the error above on last post

I will up the fee but when I have followed instructions I get the error above on last post

I dont know how low I set it I followed the same procedure I always do sent max coins then it got stuck

I have but too much money into this now I just want the coin into another wallet I wont be using electrum again I needed the coin for 12 today hence me doing it last night
