What are the terms? other then the $3000 prize? Are there time constraints? Do I have to escrow anything or be vouched? How do you decide? IF (and thats a big if) this truly is your wallet, and you truly will relinquish a .dat file for examination, then I'll give it a go.

As many have said here, it's a crapshoot if you are unable to use data recovery to get you txt file back..... however for $3000 I'm more then willing to use a machine 24/7 to try a bruteforce. (after all, I have some gpus gathering dust lol) As stated it is unlikely to yield any results..... but so is small time solo mining, so why not?

Pm me and we can discuss details, if the data recovery offered above doesnt work out.

Do you have the "SPECIAL WORDS COMBINATION" that is given at the time of wallet generation ? If yes then it might help you out.

Interesting, are you willing to escrow the $3000 USD prize for to a trusted escrow while the boys in this forum try to hack your wallet?

Why should he need to escrow anything? If someone gets into his wallet for him, it's on them to return the coins to him. They could just as easily keep all the coins, but instead are being trusted to keep $3000 worth and return the rest to OP. Doesn't seem like there's any need to escrow anything.
Instead I think anyone who offer to hack OP's wallet should escrow $9000 worth of coins for there is no guarantee he will return the coins to OP Cheesy

The password was on text file and i lost it. i can not remember it.
i do not know what do to. its almost 9k$ on it.

the option which i can tell is if the test file is deleted or which way you lost it, if it was in the computer , then you can do data recovery if you have not done anything in that computer, which is the safest way to recover your text file, apart from that i dont know much about programming.

was the txt password on the current computer your using now?
If so if you haven't reformatted  i should be able to help you get it back i have a lot of knowledge in data recovery and file recovery.
If you password was crazy long you aint getting it back unless you go digging for that old txt file.

One issue i have is this wallet really yours have you ever signed a transactions or can anyone verify this is your address.

I You choose words from a book, avoid the usage of phrases, because there are dictionaries with lots of fragments from books. You can underline some (~ 10) random words from different pages.

Memorize your passwords people.
Write it down on paper because you can forget it. Caps, numbers... are too difficult to remember.

Even something easy like "pasSwword168389+¿?-" would be difficult to remember in the future if you don't remember that there is a letter repeated or the number used.

Keep the paper on a hidden place.

This is a weird post. If not a sig campaign nonsense one the main point is not recovery but a password. Unless you can help him remember it or crack it then there is nothing to be done.

Memorize your passwords people.
