Please accept my sincere congratulations on your next achievement in this wonderful and authoritative forum. It is truly an incredible feeling and joy that you share with the community. I wish you further success on this forum.
OP has successfully proven that he has successfully climbed the ranks. Maybe the community is waiting for you to make a thread like this too.
come on, you have been in the forum for quite some time, why don't you try to do better to climb the ranks? are you trying to run a business in the forum? if you build a reputation and increase your rank, maybe it will be better for your business development.

Congratz.

I too ranked up yesterday. It is an amazing feeling to be a full-member.

If you think being a member is cool, just wait till you get your 100 merits. Then you will feel incredible. Like the incredible hulk.

I wish I had sMerits for your post Grin.

I won't be original if I say that creating such a topic was previously considered an additional merit catch. And in this sentence, I was convinced of my thoughts. Especially for such joyful events, a topic was created where everyone can celebrate an increase in rank. But since I see that you want to be special, should we think that we will see more topics when you rise in rank? Although ten merits are not even a hundred, more so a thousand. Good luck. I hope you will prove as soon as possible that you are special since you created such a post on a separate topic.

I will try to be ORIGINAL in an epistemological sense (ontologically, we all are already original Grin). Yes, I want merit, and it is a major consideration for me while creating my posts and topics, but it is not all I seek (I will always seek knowledge first). I want merits for my posts which seem motivational, informative, engaging, helpful, etc., in my opinion (others might view it as an effort for merit-seeking, and they are entitled to that opinion).
The line which you quoted was my honest reaction to a quality post because I can relate to how difficult it is to get merit initially. Some people might see it as a cheeky, clever way to get merit, so be it.
As far as the need for a new topic for my every rank is concerned, I will not create new topics for it because I realized it is childish (to make a separate topic) and I was overexcited. Since there was a topic in which you can post your achievement and boast about it (of which I was not aware), I looked to move it, but I did not find how to move a topic inside a topic (I really still don't know if it is possible here), and I don't want to discredit all replies which were already made.
Not only that, initially I defended the existence of this topic by saying 'even if I was aware of the relevant topic, I would have still created a new one'. I changed my mind and now I realize that it is indeed a mistake for which I am apologizing.
I will lock this topic after 48 hours (I will give you a chance to reply) or after your reply, whichever comes first.

Regarding me considering myself special, I am sure we can have a good conversation in: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.64260355

Merit is what makes us feel good when a forum member received it because it means that you did your part to contribute in this forum and by receiving merits from a good/constructive posts you made is the proof that you did it. You can also search the other celebratory threads like this and read the posts then you'll come across some posts explaining why they achieved the rank that they have now. Some explained where they believed that it's only a matter of time before you get your merits as long as it is a good post. Congratulations on achieving member rank and hope you make it as your motivation or a stepping stone for other future achievement.

Lol. The OP has ranked up to member. I don't want to spoil the party but when I saw the title I thought it would be at a higher rank, like Hero.

When I was just here, I got 1 merit, it made me excited. I started the forum from a new member with 0 merit. When I can move up 1 rank above it then it is an extraordinary achievement. There is a sense of pride when I can move up the rankings. Because there are some members that I see that it is very difficult to get merit. So for the writer of the feeling you have experienced, there is still a great opportunity to grow and be useful for the forum. After that you will get benefits and bonuses from the forum.
Not only for newbies, but even for higher rank members, getting some merits still create a different feeling that comes very fulfilling on your part. Most especially for newbies who are still starting to receive merits, that would mean big achievements for them. The joy and excitement to receive more merits are there, which I think is also one of the factors that make us stay in the forum because we enjoy every single merit that we received which proves that other people have also appreciated our post more than us.

This is just the beginning of greater heights, my advice to you is to double the effort you have been putting through since you got here. Every high rank achieved comes with a different mentality, there are still more grounds to be covered and more ranks to achieve. But one thing I will want you to know is that for you to get to the next rank, you have to double the energy that got you to the member rank, if possible triple it. It gets more difficult from here but it is not impossible. keep making those nice posts and you will be surprised how far you will go within a short time from now. Congratulations on your new rank.

Effort equals results, this shows the little effort you've put in as you joined us, congrats to your new rank , but bear in mind that to move from member to full member, Sr member, Hero and then to Legendary requires you to put in even bigger more effort as the merit required to get there is way higher than the member rank merit which you have achieved right now. never give up, rather this rank should be an encouragement for you to do even much better. Goodluck as I'm hoping to celebrate you at Hero and Legendary rank sometime in the future.

First of all, congrats on moving up a rank and secondly you have worked hard for it you know when we work hard then its output is mandatory. Thanks to this forum and to all those people who bring out our best, and who inspire us. As a diamond needs polish, polish makes it shine more. Similarly, a worthy person needs appreciation and praise. If the right person is not promoted, the wrong people get promoted.

There is no doubt that if you stay on this forum you will learn more and if you don't give up and keep doing more good postings and comments and sharing knowledge among people then you will progress. Because the people on this forum are very sensible, encourage newbies, and are not jealous of anyone who deserves merit and is given accordingly.

I'd advise you to keep it up, be what you are and contribute as much as you can, don't be focused too much on your rank but focus more on gaining more knowledge because that will eventually make you rank up in the future.

Congratulations OP on achieving your new rank. Ranking up in forums is really a pleasure when it is the only goal in life. When I joined this forum I was initially wondering when I would achieve full member status but I managed to achieve it. Maybe you will be slow too. You have already been promoted to a member status in the forum and now your responsibilities and status are increased. Try to stay here more often to contribute to the forum and increase your knowledge.

If you feel great about your rank up, merit or other achievement, you can mention it in this thread. See  Wink

Without ruining the joy of the OP I would say congratulations to them, I believe great things some of us achieved in the forum today started very little so there's nothing bad in celebrating the little progress made in the forum. I know how it feels when you watch your ranks increase accordingly from when you make your first post and your rank changes from brand new to newbie, from newbie to member, from member to full member, from full member to senior member, from senior member to hero member and legendary rank like it's really a great feeling so i will only advise the OP to make more quality posts to get enough merits then with time and subsequent posts, his ranks will continue to increase accordingly.

I am glad that you ranked up and achieved member rank. Basically, this was the idea to help people motivate by giving them ranks. It really helps us to make good posts as well. As when I became a full member I thought I should spend more time on my posts now as more people would prefer to read my replies. I said that because not so many legendaries or ranked or OGz prefer to read newbies' posts (just an assumption maybe I am wrong) maybe because most of the newbies are alts accounts of other people but when I was one I don't think it was a big problem as it is now.

Well, whatever, when you rank up you really think you have to outperform now. Because more people would be reading but I would like to motivate you in a way that, you will make useless posts as well, and more ranked people would be reading you and might be trolling you but you don't take that on your heart and will use that as motivation. It's just you don't have to feel trolling when you are learning. Not trying to scare you it's just so rare depending on the type of post you make.

Wow this is a big congratulations to you mate, I can say out of your 50 journey you have make a one to three journey. From newbie to jr member and then currently now in member, as you step into this new rank I pray more ahead, but this is right time for to be very serious more than when you still in jr member continue from where you stop with that efforts for you to achieving more rank as well. In this life noting is difficult is just that every thing is matters of time they might a time that everything difficult you have going through her will be becoming history, that will be telling others newbie’s too.

Furthermore. Everyone you are seeing here today in higher rank members also pass a lot before achieving there goal, which if you also keep patience you can also get to the level.

mind you that if OP post in that already made thread the attention or traffic his thread have now won't be as we are seeing it, he needs to be noticed too, everybody does, all we need do is congratulate him and also do what you did by pointing him to the right direction.
Thank you for your encouraging remarks and for ignoring my mistakes considering my rank. Honestly, I do not mind having my mistakes pointed out in public, but you rightly pointed out that the attention factor is less on the suggested thread (even if I had been aware of that thread, I would still have opened a new one and let the mod decide my fate). I appreciate that you paid attention to the major theme of my post (while at the same time being aware of what might be a mistake), unlike many people who just want to point out mistakes as quickly as possible just to look cool, or perhaps feel they have to write something against the post, highlighting minor things and ignoring the major theme (which is okay, but come on, you have to grow up sometimes).

Lol. The OP has ranked up to member. I don't want to spoil the party but when I saw the title I thought it would be at a higher rank, like Hero.

Well sorry for disappointing you but you can cannot join this forum as 'Legendary' Grin.
Suggestions from reputed members like you means a lot thank you once again. (let's hope you do not get offended by the joke)

Sincerely speaking, the excitement of getting merits here especially when coming up is on another level. Getting merit is not as easy to some people as it is to some. People that earn merit regularly might see it as nothing special but there's a little beginning for everyone and at this stage we see it as a great achievement. There are people who still find it hard to earn a single merit despite being here for a long period of time. It's actually something to be excited about and use it as a motivation to do harder and achieve more.

I wish I had sMerits for your post Grin.

Just hope you have invited friends and family to the forum to help this community grow and get to higher heights.
I already suggested this to my cousin sister, she is doing study in computer science (was amazed to see that she already did not know about this). I am sure that she will be a more fruitful member of this amazing forum than me.

I guess even small promotions become big for beginners, and I totally understand that since I was also like OP way back then. It could be nothing for us, but for beginners, those are already big achievements. Just keep doing your best OP and never gets tired of learning new ideas and insights because that will eventually make you a quality poster afterwards.

Furthermore, never pressure yourself on ranking up or leveling up your position. That will come in time. Instead, learn to enjoy every minute you stay in the forum, the more you appreciate the forum, the bigger impact it will create in your life.

There is a thread on reputation where you can celebrate and announce all your achievement on the forum, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/announce-your-rank-up-merit-or-any-achievements-that-makes-you-feel-great-5391471 you can always post it there on the provided link, congratulation for this is the beginning of a new challenge for full member rank and more.

You don't need to blame OP for what he did because I'd say he's new and mistakes happens, with time I don't think OP will make such errors on posting where he's not suppose to. The provided link is ok but mind you that if OP post in that already made thread the attention or traffic his thread have now won't be as we are seeing it, he needs to be noticed too, everybody does, all we need do is congratulate him and also do what you did by pointing him to the right direction.

Tapping from his grace might not be enough, but you can just be you and do what you do best, learn, and share value with the forum. I believe you can also rank up in no time and also celebrate like the Op have done, even though you have to celebrate JNR member rank first before the member rank. A one-step up is a step closer to what you are chasing to achieve.

Congratulations on your new rank! The rank might still be kind of low, but you have really worked hard to achieve it. There are more ranks for you to reach, so make sure you keep on making a positive impact on the forum, and I am sure soon you are going to be back to announce that you have just reached a new rank again(but you shouldn’t create a thread for it, there is already a thread which you can announce your achievement). Just continue with your hard work, and you are going to receive merits that will take you to a new rank, but make sure you are not in a rush to rank up so that you won’t end up doing things that you are not supposed to do, just have the mindset that you want to learn, and you want to impact on forum members also.

Now that you have tasted a bit of how it looks or feels to rank up, don't take it for granted and forget the normal and expected ways you should behave on the forum, make the forum rules and regulation be your first thing to know and get used to, this will determine your  stay here or not, the environment is already friendly as you can see, but i must remind you of not doing pass your boundaries in other for you the unleashed more better things to acquire from here.

It does feel amazing to rank up on a forum where your performance as a member is judged through merits. I sometimes feel that apart from the decentralization of Bitcoin the forum merits system is decentralized as it is not in the hands of the admin. When you get ranked the best feeling is to be someone known in an anonymous environment which makes you feel proud. I have gone through the same feeling like you have and I think you would make a good active member of this forum if you continue in the same way as you have been when you were just a newbie. Congratulation!

I just want to share that today I achieved member rank at this amazing forum. It feels so good. I am learning so much and only regret that I didn't find this wonderful place earlier. I want to thank all reputed and established members of this forum for helping me achieve this milestone.
The taste is indeed mixed between happy and challenging to achieve even higher ranking.
Congratulations to you for the achievements you have achieved here. There are several more levels of rank that you will achieve to legendary. Don't give up and don't force it to achieve it. Believe me, all of that will be realized as long as you are willing to do useful things.
In this forum there are many users who are ready to help see your post to be given merit if they think it is appropriate.

Congratulations memehunter, although it shouldn't be your main goal in the forum, it always feels good to rank up, not only here but in life itself. Keep participating the way you do and I wish you a bright future here.

Thank you Dunamisx, I didn't know that thread on reputation and I'm sure that many others didn't know it either, not just the OP.

Dunamisx already spoke my mind.

One thing I would say to you though, no need to get too excited about a member rank. Frankly, it’s been such a long time since I saw anyone celebrate the member rank but, you give me that memory now. If it makes you feel good, congratulations and know that, you’ve got a lot ahead of you. The more you go, the tougher it becomes.
You might want to lock this thread and possibly transfer the content of your OP to the recommended thread by Dunamisx, it would serve you more.

To lock the thread, check the bottom left corner of the thread’s page.

Congratulations OP on your new position. Just keep going and you will continue to receive merits and appreciation in the next days and months to come. Just never stop learning and continue to grow and develop more potentials in the forum.

For now, just enjoy the moment. Feel your promotion, but never stop from gaining new insights and information and continue to listen and learn from the experiences of those who were ahead of you. Good luck OP.

Thanks! I will keep this in mind when I will share my next achievement  Wink. Though IMHO, I think it better suits here in terms of visibility and relevance.

let this new rank be a stepping stone to you to do better as I would love to see you get to full member rank so you can rock the forum more better.
Keep up the hard work and be always open to all criticisms as they are one of the best ways you can learn how to grow in the forum.
Good luck to you
