Besides keeping it to raise in value later. There is not much I can do...

With fiat money, I can pay rent, go to restaurants, buy clothes. But with BTC, there is basically no stores that accept them in my country. Sure it's easier online, but then again the stores might not have the best products or is the cheapest/best value.

Am I the only one facing this issue?

Change your half of your bitcoin to fiat money thru your local wallet and convert it to your local paper money then enjoy life.Work smart and hard but don't forget to enjoy and appreciate life. Go somewhere else you have never been before. You can buy things with money but you can't buy happy memories. Then the remaining bitcoin will be continue to hoard or invest it so that you could have use in your future spending.

Bitcoin offers alot of activity. Aside from what most of us do in here which is joining in forums i can also suggest that you invest it in trading just ike what i do with some of my bitcoins. In here you just need to buy a coin and sell it once the price of it increases. You can retain alao the invetment and sell once you think the price is better. Moreover, you can also gamble using bitcoins, such as poker, dice and sports betting. Mining is also an option but it only marks up a bit unlike other gambling

There are alot of way(s) to earn alot of money from investing your bitcoin in ICO's or you should just try and start trading some Bitcoins to altcoins. Btw, you do need some experience and skills when it comes to trading. Ask help from the experienced.

Hope this helps

So it is not legal to the country where you're at. I suggest you to hold your Bitcoin for more years until it become legal and with that, you will be able to use it as a currency. By the way, it is also not yet legal in my country but there are exchangers that obviously converts Bitcoin into fiat that allows me to use my profit.

I also face it where no one accept bitcoin as payment in where I live and I must to exchange bitcoin to fiat to use it. in my country to exchange bitcoin to fiat is easy.
That surely is a plus point. 118 shops in just one city is not a bad number. It is becoming famous now a days because people have started gaining knowledge about daily life uses. In my country there are very less shops. And still any people ask me how to use bitcoin and I always tell them to use them as you use ordinary money. It is your earning and your source of livelihood.

First you think what you will do with your bitcoins. Imagine if it will save you or spend it. It looks like you're wondering now that you want to buy things and what else, your bitcoins. It's easy to buy the fiat money and buy what you want

Ever since the exchange rates increased, the number of users paying for their shopping in Bitcoin has come down quite hard. People ask themselves why they should spend their coins, when they can make the payment using fiat cash as well. And nowadays, the transaction fee has also increased quite heavily while using Bitcoin.

Based on what you've said, Bitcoin is not yet legal to the country where you at which is the same in my case. But I am able to buy things with the use of Bitcoin but not directly. I am converting my Bitcoin to fiat with the use of exchangers . In that way, I am making good use of the profit I earned from Bitcoin. So maybe you can also do what I am doing for you to enjoy using Bitcoin more.

bitcoin is a long term invesstment, i think if you want to use that money in short time i think you can't invest you r money in bitcoin, and i think if you want to use in real flife you should to withdraw first your bitcoin into real money so you can use it offline, i know that your country cant use bitcoin in some offline store but i believe that someday bitcoin will work online and many stores will accept bitcoin as the payment

Personally, with my stash of bitcoins I set aside the majority of the amount and do not touch it and tell it. Prices rise well above what I've invested, then I sell off what i need to. I also set aside a smaller chunk for gambling and investment opportunities on a month to month basis. The more ways you can find to make Bitcoins work for you, the better.

You might have to wait longer for your wish to come true as bitcoin is being treated by many more as an investment rather than a currency. Some merchants have already considered accepting bitcoin as payment but their feasibility studies doesn't give them a positive result. Well that is for now as the infrastructure won't allow it yet and the transaction congestion might be another factor.

Currently, the market is in the stage of formation and development, it takes a long time to market stronger and then the BTC will be included in widely traded globally. Currently, Japan and some other countries have accepted the BTC payment there. What you are experiencing is not unique in your country but most of them are experiencing that situation but they are still researching and in the future BTC will become legal.

despite of its price growing and growing there is not much we can do

or put up a business using bitcoin to exchange in money

it is risky yess but the possibility of you to rise is there and your money is not lying around your wallet
