So far the year 2017 is still the best year for cryptos that was a year we recorded a huge massive influx in the cryptos space, exchanges closed their registrations for new members because they could not contain their registration. Indeed 2017 is was great for cryptos.
I started my contact with the crypto world in 2017 and so I can not comment on the previous years. Obviously comparing 2017 to 2018 does not make much sense since the year 2017 was excellent while 2018 is a bear market and very disappointing for all investors

I think this is one of the best inputs we have got on this issue. I am of the same belief that we have got a whole lot of years ahead when the year 2017 is gonna be seen over and over again. The fact even remains we can't even give up on this year yet...

It will be great because by May 2020 the halving for bitcoin would come again. 2 years ago, the halving came and the market reacted positively so that can be the same.Fraudsters on ICOs? yeah most of them are said that they dumped their tokens and eth which gave the market to be pulled down. But I don't think that's the very reason why it happened.
Yeah, it was very legit to earn more and more money easily in the crypto last year. I think that the last year until early 2018. The crypto prices were always increasing. Many ICOs always had the big price after in the market. It is very different from the current situation if seeing on the market. However, I believe that 2018 is the year to collect more and more coins or tokens to hodl.
2017 was a lot of fun, but there were also lots of scams and money being pumped into crap projects. Then there was a massive pump that was unsustainable in Nov and Dec. So it may have hurt crypto in the long run to have this crash.

Of course 2017 is the best year for crypto because he can reach more than 500 B in 2017, so different situation with this year. But we still have time to see because now still november and i believe bull run will start soon.

Well for sure, in regards of ICO investing you could throw a rock and hit a 5x project 8 times of the 10 throws. But now the stupid money has mostly exited the scene so its much harder to achieve even a worthwhile flip of lets say 1,5x. Fingers crossed that the 2019 will again be the year of the sick crypto gains.

You are all repeating like parrots after OP that it was the best year instead of taking a chart and adding the numbers. Do it and you'll see that this huge spike that took us from 5 to 20 thousand USD was nothing compared to the early years of Bitcoin. 400% or 500% gains are small for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
In 2011 you could make 2000% gains. Think about that. You could turn every dollar into 20 in 1 year! 1 million into 20 million. And people will come and say that a 10% spike is a manipulation.

It was good year for crypto, yes. But I should say not the best. If we talk about Bitcoin - the price movement wasn't the highest in its history(only x20 in a year) but mass adoption was on high level.
The main success was for tokens in 2017. Any startup with any idea(even without specific vision and roadmap) could collect great amounts. I think this was the best year specifically for them, and there will be no more years like this.
But with Bitcoin there is another situation. I think it will show greater results soon, so 2017 will seem preparation only
Sure 2017 was the best year because of the bull run I guess,if that's how everyone is viewing it well my own kind of view is different ,if bull run occurs again in 2018 we will all say its the best year ,as far as bitcoin is more stable in price than last year I bet the next bull run will be huge
One year is the best to sell, while it is better to buy in others. If I am not sure what to do, I hold. Unfortunately, sometimes altcoins become very cheap.
