It is not at all advised to go all-in in an investment that you aren't left with any money to spend, and she would be pretty old so if this investment fails then what would she do for the rest of her life, have you thought about it? But don't worry about bitcoin, just wait patiently for some time and bitcoin price will surely rise beyond the point at which you brought it.

It's your own responsibility to be financially sound and only invest in what you could afford to lose, with that said Bitcoin's price has gone up over time and in a volatile market you can't be afraid and most investments are meant to be long term things, nothing is guaranteed especially quick gains.

well you point your grandmother to put her money all in bitcoin, but if you buy at the price of $ 4200 it is very expensive, and take a long time to ride again, I hope your grandma can be more patient to wait and still can come to enjoy the result later.

I wouldn't say that $4,200 per coin is a very high price. But the problem is that you may need to wait for up to 5 years, to get good returns out of it. And who knows whether the grandma will live up to that age or not? Please don't get me wrong. I want her to live for that long.

LOL... That's what I just posted a few minutes back. Why don't take the grandma to a vacation in Pattaya or Bangkok, where she can enjoy the sandy beaches and the calm atmosphere? Well, if she is in to some wild adventure, then you can take her to the Walking Street. I have been to there quite a few times, and it is just fantastic experience.

I won't advise my grandma to put all her saving into bitcoin. Maybe half of it, and the other half for his enjoyment in his life on earth because she has worked very hard for that money and she deserves some pleasure out of it. I agree, why don't you take her somewhere that she enjoys like a walk in the beach, or even playing with his favorite past time. I remember when my father was alive, we even take him to watch live horse racing because he is a avid fan and loves betting on it.

Different age groups have different risk tolerance levels. If might not be wise for a very old woman to still invest her money on speculative asets like bitcoin. If for a reason the price slides down by more than 50%, it might take a while for her to recover her losses. And time is what she is lacking considering she should just be spending her life enjoying her remaining years.

You are absolutely right. There is no need for her to invest her money anymore. She can just put the money in some savings bank account and enjoy the rest of her life using that cash. Anyway, the exchange rates are swinging between $4,100 and $4,200 right now. One major bump, and we will be above the $5,000 per coin mark.

Long-term bitcoin will go up, there are a few things that can stop that from happening although I see bitcoin only going up long term unless a rare incident stops it from doing so. Such as most governments banning Bitcoin funneling availability and legality through bitcoin making it so that the few Governments/Countries legally accepting bitcoin could tax the living shit out of it making it unusable just so they can get there last dime out of it. Another thing that could happen is miner fees become to high due to extreme loads of Bitcoin transactions and confirmation times being extended or even more confirmations needed to actually confirm a transaction. Other than that it could just be the randomness of the market that could collapse Bitcoin. Otherwise I think Bitcoin is in a good, yet bumpy, track.

It does apply to all kinds of investments not only in Investing the worst part with this situation is that he made his grandpa invest all his life saving in Bitcoin. It is more of like an experimentation rather than a help for your grandfather. I just hope you and your grandpa won't learn investing in a hard way. As for your part having your own research is a good idea as you cannot rely to any personal views about investing to a random people online even the ones they call good sourced these days are hard to be trusted.

We all have ideas on how to advice yet we lack of information to predict things for we don't own the world of bitcoin. With regards to putting all the lifesavings that is above mentioned, it's not a problem if you think it's right then follow people's advice. It's only you who can weigh things out and soon enough you will realize if your decision is perfect for you. Bitcoin investment or for savings is a good idea. If it's not, why would investors keep on entering the world of crytocurrency in bitcoin?Simply because they can trust bitcoin since then.

If we don't trust it enough , we should not enter on it. It's riaky since it's volatile but know that ,and hope that it will be worth risking for. Never blame anyone when the final decision always still in you. You might be thankful soon.

This is not all about trusting it. This is more than it morally. The person opened the thread is talking about his grandma can you imagine. This is something strange to us but he tried to make his siblings know about bitcoin.
