Impressive to have been there at that time, the golden time of Bitcoin where you could mine with a dual core CPU that many had at home at that time. For me though I was far from Bitcoin and any online ventures in 2010, max I was doing paid to click in Neobux if I remember correctly. I only got to learn Bitcoin in 2013, late November when it hit that 1100 dollar first all time high which made us all curious. I only wish I could have been there in that time as I had a dual core CPU and I would have mined I don't know how many Bitcoins, wow, you brought us to this great memory, in fact it is inspiring me to start trading and diversifying Bitcoin as the only possibility nowadays to hit it big through it.

There were too many regrets in the past selling too early. But don't you all know that it's heading this way? I think that if there were really genuine believers that Bitcoin could hit a hundred, a thousand and a hundred thousand in the near future, they'd never sold.

That's the reality, what profit you've made was already there. I get the feeling of how regretful selling quite early but even I, I might do the same decision on those early days.

I won't say it's a mistake if the money you've made at that time was used properly.

I mean, I don't blame you at all. From 0.30 to 10 dollars is a nice and tidy profit even if you just put in a few hundred dollars of Bitcoin. Who could have seen back then that Bitcoin would catch on eventually?
i mean $10 is a low price surely you caught bitcoin rising didn’t you try your chances and bought again? personally if i invested in something and it gave me profit? i will do it again so what stopped you from repurchasing when the price wasn’t even at a hundred dollars?

If i was one of such people, i will think about it from time to time, but i would not make it a lifelong regret, i sold at a profit and back then it was something worthwhile,
Same here, but who wouldn't? As we are talking about millions and billions here or even more than that? But it is better to take action and invest even if we think we are late than have a lifelong regret as you said there. Another thing that won't give us a lifelong regret is if we are like you that already benefit somehow from the coin. Imagine if BTC didn't continue? That should make you feel more relieved.

i know if you compare it with BTC's current value, then it is nothing, but who would have known.
Not totally nothing because back in time the price is only cheap but look at the price now. Buying it will only make us struggle a bit, and that makes us to earn lesser. It is a different story anymore if we hold for a very long time and refrain from buying again.

Time waits for no one. I feel your regret, but it's honestly a small one since you still secured a decent profit compared to people like me who regret not buying even a small amount when its price was so low.

These regrets still pale in comparison to those related to selling coins/tokens for much lower prices than their actual value.

Yes, that's right. Maybe at that time I was in the same position, I would have done the same thing, because the profits obtained had exceeded our expectations, especially at the same time we never knew that bitcoin could be like it is now, which has become one of the most sought-after assets. In addition, at that time bitcoin news or bitcoin information was not as much as it is now, it used to be very difficult to find bitcoin information. As far as I remember, if I'm not mistaken, because I have several friends like that and I don't think it's a mistake.

Twitter's also full of posts from people saying they sold at $2 or $6 or something. They always get rehashed on social media every now and then, but I wish we would just forget about them.
The post circulating on Twitter is actually good, and we should be able to learn that bitcoin assets are future assets, so don't forget it. If we buy and save in the long term, it will make us achieve financial freedom. So the wisdom of the experience of previous traders is a lesson for us to always save bitcoin because bitcoin will be something in the future.

From my research watching more videos about bitcoin I can confidently say bitcoin early education is perfect, during the early time investors had to spread this knowledge and educate others at some point encourage investing. Unfortunately some had to ignore and it’s never late, what’s more better bitcoin has not gotten to the highest level yet IMO I’m expecting more.

I have come across a few post of Bob on X formerly known as Twitter. I never knew he was the first persons who posted a video of Bitcoin back in the early days.
No time for regrets now. Since you sold at $10 the best thing you can do now is to start buying back again you will sell at a higher price in the feature. Am no preacher of Bitcoin but all Bob said in his videos were right. It still feels early to still buy Bitcoin even the price at which it is now is much higher than before.

As for me i see this topic as a reminder on the importance of continuous accumulation. As well as having patience to not sell early.

Nice. I think that youtube channel is a gold mine as one of those OG believers in BTC.

I agree, include that in BTC museum  Grin

Imagine shilling it at 0.30 then the current ATH is $108,135. That's 360450x from his call, one of the greatest callers of all time and yet here we are regretting for not believing, being broke, and selling early that time. Well, my excuse is, I'm very young at that time and just want to play video games lol.

I believe you're not the only one (among those who adopted BTC in 2009 till 2019) who wishes he/she had made some decision about selling Bitcoin early due to a small profit.
That's part of life, we make some mistake we wishes we shouldn't have made but the most important thing is to always learn from it and work on the next available opportunity rather than beating ourselves up on something that can't be rectified again.
Knowing bitcoin for a long time and buying when the price is still thousands of dollars, if you think back of course there are regrets, but we do have to fulfill our needs so that's when the profits are taken.
Let this be a past that must be remembered, but never stop buying again in the sense that bitcoin will continue to rise.
There is still a chance for us to invest in bitcoin even though the price is $100K high.

Interesting story though, it reminds us not to overlook opportunities, even if they seem risky. Back in 2010, I wasn’t in the crypto space yet, so I didn’t have a chance to invest. I got here in 2015, which I think was still early, but I couldn’t accumulate much because I had doubts. It took witnessing the first bull run to fully convince me. Since then, I’ve held onto my Bitcoin and only sold portions during bullish times. now, I'm already happy and no matter what situation the market are, I'll always view it as normal.

Now everybody needs to understand that they need to take their chance now.
And in some years, they would be thankful for going in.

That doesn’t really apply to Bitcoin in its current state as it’s practically impossible for Bitcoin to increase x1000 or more at this point. However, such growth might be achievable with altcoins or even new projects outside the crypto space. Still, we should be thankful for what Bitcoin has already achieved.

BTC not only introduced us to decentralized finance but also taught us valuable lessons about spotting investment opportunities. (exactly what happened to me)

You bought an asset for $0.40 each and you are able to sell at $10 per one, what more can someone want? This is a lot of gains and yes I would have sold my Bitcoin if I bought this early, but the thing is that Bitcoin is for the future, it was why some whale held all this time till date, you can only know this if you saw some potential in Bitcoin.

I am presently even hoping that some ALTs can do this well in today's market and so far I am not impressed, but what put me together is the dominance of Bitcoin that hasn't take a dive yet, from 0.40 to 10 is more than enough, imagine buying 1000 BTC for $400 @ $0.400 each and you sell at $10, that's $10,000 with just $400, this is a life changing for many people, this is why I don't blame those who don't held their Bitcoin.

We are all humans with different problems here and there, the problems in some people's life won't make them hold Bitcoin even when they are exposed to Bitcoin very early.

And remember what these $10,000 would turn into during the days they would be sold off - that would be a bigger amount for sure.
So yeah, no blame to anybody there.

Those were the times when Bitcoin was still dirt cheap, and stories like this pop up now and then, especially when the market is bullish.

But honestly, there are just too many of these stories to verify, so I don’t bother spending time knowing them. Instead, I stick to the one story that feels more reliable and worth celebrating.... "the  Bitcoin Pizza Day".

Bitcoin Pizza Day: Techie paid 10,000 Bitcoins for Pizza in 2010, now worth Rs 5,800 crore

All of these stories pay homage to the same thoughts, basically, and that's great to remember them all, although some are more known than others.

Nothing can be done, can't pause or back forward time so our sympathy won't do good than to create more regrets which certainly isn't a way out. Not just you alone, there are more early investors who sold even less than what you sold, some held large amounts of Bitcoin and thereafter still living in regrets.

When this hurts, you should also know that some investors are same way releasing every piece of their investment, $100K achieved many already feel the best they could obtain from Bitcoin investment, this is a replica of what they will pass through in the future when Bitcoin makes an ATH of $1M and they have nothing left in their portfolio.

We just need to focus on the present and the future.
The past is passing by and can be mourned - but it would be much wiser to keep pushing toward accumulating more Bitcoin and doing the best things for our portfolio in the future.

Let me guess, it had something to do with the final part of the video... Diamond ring ["you win some, you lose some"] Tongue
- If it makes you feel any better, you're not the only one who either lost some Bitcoin or had to sell them for a small profit (e.g. I lost access to a wallet that had my mined coins from 2011).

I always thought "Alpaca [according to Bitcoin Wiki]" was the OG mascot [unofficially], but it appears that Bob came first.
