but what if he's right

That would only be possible if we had no facts to support our theories, we do however have plenty of facts. He is dead wrong I'm afraid. Dead wrong.

LEALANA Bitcoin Grim Reaper
Another user blocked from Chris Duane's videos:

Chris is obviously a douche who can't take the truth. He is pissed because the price of bitcoin towers over silver. This all hurts his ELITIST ego. You will know what I mean if you watch his silver bullet silver shield videos where he basically casts out any uninformed person and hopes there is a financial collapse so the wealth transfer would go to the "informed" and basically fuck the rest of humanity.

The guy is a douche.

sry hazek, I didn't see this thread...

I never knew Chris Douane b4 he started making these videos, but i have seen his silver coins. Now that I see yet another youtube channel dedicated to selling silver by saying its the only commodity you can buy that will protect your money, now I am sure that gold/silver will fall further and further down. Because the truth is their are many many other options to protected your money, and gold and silver have been hyped up to the absolute maximum...   I do believe the dollar will lose another 95% of its value in the next 30 years, gold and silver were the first commodities to speculate what its value should be given that fact. you will see one by one the dollar will CRASH hard when compared to all other commodities.

bitcoin will go up much more then any other commodity, because its not about keeping up with inflation, its a new movement! The dash for digital cash Cool

haha, lol. Just had an idea:

We should point Chris to litecoin. He'd probably love that ("if bitcoin is gold, then litecoin is silver").

Wow it is really sad how misinformed he is on this topic. I love the work he is doing with his coins and the messages behind them. But he is spreading a quite a few fallacies about bitcoin here.

No need to bash it using FUD and lies, though.

And that really is the only part of their rejection that really bothers me.

What his views indicate to me is there is a fraction of the population that simply don't want unbacked money. Digital bullion banking/gold-backed digital currencies will almost certainly have an important role in the monetary future and compete with Bitcoin as a store of value--a beneficial symbiotic relationship regardless of whether you want to use only bitcoins, only metals, or both.

Thing is: gold is equally unbacked as bitcoin. The difference is "only" tangibility (corporeality) and tradition.

But I agree: there's probably a fraction of people who can never come to trust a virtual commodity like bitcoin, and I can understand that.

No need to bash it using FUD and lies, though.

Let there be competition!

When I heard Chris recommend people "sell everything they have and buy silver" I knew to take him with a shovel full of salt.  The same goes for the KWN gang, etc.  Turk, Von Greyertz, etc. have been blathering about gold taking off any day now for over a year.  Fundamentally there is good reason this should have in fact happened a while ago but we're now living amidst holographic, manipulated markets of all kinds devoid of fundamentals.  That's one of the reasons I was personally attracted to Bitcoin in the first place... Hey, look, a free market!

I have a bit of metal and am on board with Chris' general message but I also think giving advice like that is not only irresponsible but a reckless, fanatical approach despite perceived fundamentals.

Chris has done good things for the honest money movement and has provided a bunch of great info to anyone wanting to listen.  I ordered a Freedom Girl each for me and my sister because they're gorgeous and I love the symbolism, she was very impressed.  I like the guy.  However, people need to be as critical with many of the "good guys" as with the bad guys and do one's DD.

This sums up my feelings pretty well. I subscribe to Chris's newsletter because he is of the right consciousness in approaching what I consider to be sort of the worst-case scenario for the progression of this currency crisis--'Positive, aware, prepared'. I do hope he comes around on Bitcoin.

What I can say is that Bitcoin's technical sophistication is already way beyond what some well-respected gurus in its related fields can wrap around their minds with, let alone the common folks out there, and don't rush to tell me that bitcoin is "complicated", if it's the only solution to a problem thus far unsolved, it's actually the simplest solution, and you may just be too lazy to learn about it.

BrotherJohnF (also a silver-stacker, but him I still highly respect), who has earlier discussed in an interview with Chris Douane about bitcoin answered (debunked? didn't watch yet) to the Ponzi allegations by Chris in his bitcoinchannel:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNLSvd4LyP8

I once heard a wise man say: Don't talk too much about something you don't know too much about. So if we talk about bitcoin, I can say a lot, but if we talk about a car engine, I keep my mouth fucking shut.

The problem isnt about an idiot couldnt keep his mouth shut.

Its the general public (his followers) whos lazy to do their own research and just take what he said as facts.

It happens everywhere in the world and hence it creates this "cult". Social media is great but its also terrible to public when stupid spreading crap everywhere.
