Now my heart desires that I will actually learn about any topic in this forum? What can I contribute? Or how do I put my role in this forum? Please advise people who have experience. I don't know how deep I can get into a subject. Actually there are many things here. Where do I start? Thanks in advance for the advice.

The first thing expected is for you to realized the reason for the establishment of this forum which is a platform where all discussions about bitcoin are put forward with all users all over the world, then in this, you have to learn about bitcoin and how the forum is, the forum rules and the way you can make a quality contribution on any discussion, for you to be able to achieve all these, you just have to start learning from somewhere.

It's perfectly to reinvent yourself on the forum and use it in a different way which will gain you more knowledge about crypto in the long-term. If you want to figure the forum out then do more reading and less posting. With a couple of threads you'll be fully up to speed with how the forum works and can focus then on learning about bitcoin.

If you're hunting for merits, you will hardly get them. But she. You post naturally and focus on being helpful to others while utilizing the information you read, you'll gain a whole lot.

- Jay -

Exactly. First the Op needs to examine himself to know what his ambitious is all about in the forum, firstly he should keep aside how he can contribute to the forum but think about what he can gain from the forum because he can't give what he doesn't have. The Op is a beginner and slightly doesn't have what to offer yet as long he seeks for guides so barely he should focus more on reading and disregard writing and then if he feels he has got some sorts of commendable contributes then he can offer but in the main time Op, develop the habit to enjoy reading for that's the key point of how you can make great impacts in their forum hence you are obliged to explore in a bitcoin journey.

I'm actually fairly new to this forum. Although it's been a while since I joined this forum. I have also posted with some new topics already. But to be honest, I'm really confused. I would like to introduce myself completely new to this forum. I actually know very little about this forum. Now my heart desires that I will actually learn about any topic in this forum? Actually you don't have to be too specific on who you tend to listen or learn from. Even a newbie could be the one to explain to your own understand, so I prefer not to underestimate anyone. Fist of all I advise you read all forum rules so you'll not be breaking anyone, because doing so might lead to the end of your account usage. However I also advise you do more of reading than posting for now, you could read post of reputable quality posters and ask questions if you don't understand and we are here to help. And one other thing, you can also learn from every member both lower ranked and higher rank, to aid you understand properly.

It's best to first identify your abilities so that you can easily develop yourself in the forum. There are many relevant boards you can refer to or even just provide new insight to others. If you understand what you can do then it will be a little easier to develop, for example if you understand coding or recommended bitcoin wallets that are new, then you can share them in writing. The most important thing is not to rush because you should learn to understand what you want to write so that when the discussion takes place you can give the right answer.

Don't violate forum rules because that can prevent you from developing and you should learn what is easy for you to accept, so that your qualities can really provide insight to other people. Follow several people who you think have knowledge and have constructive discussions whenever there is discussion there.

There are different parts of this forum and enough for you to find what to contribute on. There is Bitcoin board, altcoin board, gambling, economics, and many more. Just open the board, read the rules and then look for which topic you think you can add to. It is that simple and doesn’t need much description.

I agree. OP, if you're seeking advice I would suggest that you participate only in the boards in which you can contribute something. For example, if you know about Politics, or Economics, then start writing there; on the contrary, if you are more of a technician, then you can start learning about the technology itself and ask for questions to improve your knowledge on the matter.

As time goes by and you learn about other subjects that have little to do with your initial expertise, you can move to different boards.

And last but not least, if you are not a native English speaker I recommend you to participate in your local board, because it is always easier to empathise with people who speak the same language and share a similar culture. Furthermore, according to my experience, members in local boards have more patience with newbies and have a more positive predisposition to help.

Welcome to the Bitcoin Forum. If you donate here at the right time you can do everything right. If you are active in bitcoin forums and follow experienced people then you can definitely achieve something good here. Always remember that people cannot learn everything in one day, everything has to be learned gradually. You can contribute well to this forum by gifting as we have seen many developers play their important role by inventing good systems. You can play a good role in this forum by discovering good things. But remember don't try to cheat on this forum or you will be ruined if you try to cheat.

Other than all the advice that all the users has given to you, I want to tell you that you should learn to be yourself and also be ready to learn from anyone, don't think that because a person is little rank below you will have little information or knowledge than Legendary member. Ideally, high rank members are experienced to have more wide reach and understanding but some newbies are more than newbies or they are just newbies with high rank personalities because they are good in everything they do.

Learn to ignore people you think are trolling you in the Forum, trust me you will come across one or two of them but be quick to use the ignore botton. Don't forget to abide by the rules and regulations of the forum, anything that will put you in trouble, kindly avoid them.

Trying your best to understand the rules of the forum in every board will also help you and make things easy for you. Normally as a beginner that have not been in any crypto  platform before it can be confusing to join discussions.  But you shouldn't worry much about yourself finding it difficult to contribute,  just try to learn to gain knowledge about cryptocurrency with time you will be able to discuss about topics. Every beginner experienced what you are facing now.

Welcome to the forum, I don’t know why you are just introducing yourself on the forum here. You have created a few topics, and you have given some people advice in the thread that you created, but you are now seeking a guide. I believe you should have understood what the forum is all about before you started creating threads. I hope you have gone through the forum rules and regulations, because if you go against the rules of the forum, you are going to be punished. Nobody cares if you are a newbie or not.

What can I contribute?
Anything you think will be useful to the forum, just introduce it and post it, and if you don’t have anything useful, just keep on observing and learning. Always post whenever you have something useful to say.

You could be new to this forum, but are you new to cryptocurrency and bitcoin as a whole? If yes, it means you really have a lot of work to do and majority of the work is learning about bitcoin because there's nothing difficult to learn about this forum. This is just like other online discussion forums. Just know  and stay under the ambient of the rules and regulations and you are good. Engage in healthy conversations and read to learn more.

The reason for the forum is bitcoin, so if you are in this forum and you don't know about bitcoin and you are not interested in it, you can consider yourself wasting your time or misusing the forum.

Mate I am also a newbie in this forum You get a single merit but till today no response from senior. Maybe I m not deserve about merit. Welcome to the forum! It's great to have you here however You are most senior to me.
You are still a newbie like me but am older than you in the forum so I will give you the same advice I got from high rank members when I newly joined bitcoinTalk.

1; do more reading than posting, it will help you understand the forum and it's rules better.

2; go through this link provided https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657 and try as much as possible to avoid spamming and plagiarism. Using Ai generated content here will harm your reputation.

3; you engage more on your local board, try to explore other boards as I see you have few posts on beginners&help (Good) Bitcoin discussion, beginners and help, meta etc these boards will help enhance your knowledge about Bitcoin.

Merits will come if your posts are good enough, I was advised not to worry too much about merit but focus more and learn from users getting merits (watch and study the way they engage in the forum)

I still follow these advice till today so you should do the same. Good luck bro.

I would like to introduce myself completely new to this forum. I actually know very little about this forum. how do I put my role in this forum?
You have already posted topics before you intensified your focus on reading and learning because it is possible that the topics you've posted may not be able to continue responding to their discussions if a question arises.

Before you make your goal to post here to benefit others, you must be familiar with the information and benefit yourself first with sufficient experience so as not to present yourself as a new member after spending a long time here.

The forum contains a huge encyclopedia of information, instructions, advice, and important basics on many crypto-related topics. You should devote your time to viewing as many of the topics as possible that contain important discussions. Over time, you can participate in these discussions and position yourself as an effective contributor to the forum among many of the elite members, and then post topics as you wish, but adhere to the rules of the forum and the rules of each board.
If you don’t have the patience to read and understand every topic that is posted in the forum, you will certainly find it hard how to completely absorb the insights and new ideas from the forum. Just take your time. Do not rush in trying to conquer immediately the forum because this is definitely a huge one.

If I were you, focus first on the interesting topics that made you attracted and in which you have a lot to learn. Eventually, you will be more fascinated to read every thread in the forum once your eagerness to learn has fully developed. When that happens, you can easily join in a discussion where you might be criticized first but then learn a lot eventually especially from those legends in the forum.

There are different ways to contribute to the forum. You can contribute to the forum by posting good/high quality posts, reporting spam posts, scam posts or other posts that may cause trouble or problem for other forum members like resulting in losing money and report those who plagiarized topics. I think your problem is how to get merited here in the forum since you wanted to contribute and when a forum contributed to the forum are usually getting merited because of what they have done that is really helpful.
I suggest just focus on learning how to make high quality posts because if you are hunting for merits, you will easily gain that if your posts become meaningful to other members. But learning takes time and there might come a time that you will get bored learning in the forum. However, if you know your goal why you enter this forum, you will eventually realize that getting boredom and laziness in the forum have no rooms for progress most especially that you are still in the learning process.

Learn to take one step at a time. And always start learning from the basics, you will know its essence when you are starting to commit mistakes later on.

As you can see that the forum is Bitcointalk forum all your contributions will be centered in Bitcoin related discussions, and there are sections that are created to bring more traffic to the forum which include sections like gambling, politics and society, and lots more, these sections are main to entertain the forum users so that beruiud discussions will be going on in the forum outside Bitcoin discussion.
My advice to you is to avoid plagiarism and focus on learning, do not be so eager to post in the forum, make sure you understand what you are trying to post or share with the forum users.

Firstly welcome unboard, alot has been said already as to this regards. A popular saying goes by a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step and it is determination that leads to success it wasn't that easy for me but however am glad to have gotten to where I am today. It actually took me a month navigating round the forum before I could have a basic understanding of what is going here, it requires determination and dedication, making reading a habit with consistency and perseverance and never given up should be your watch word, because I did it you too can do more better. However you don't have to be in a hurry to be like some one who has been here for long, learning is a gradual process and I wish you the best .

My advice is to start reading more than writing, because in order to contribute to the forum in some way, you first need to learn something. Do not use AI chat, do not plagiarize and paraphrase, learn how to properly format posts and that walls of text often do not make sense since few members will decide to read them.

There is no great wisdom here, things are quite simple if you don't decide to complicate them yourself.

First of all welcome to this forum mate. There are many rules in this forum if you can master them first then it will be easier for you to know more about this forum. Actually we all are connected to this forum but this forum is vast in knowledge. If you don't understand or don't know anything about cryptocurrency then you can easily learn and understand from this forum. One must prioritize one's will power before knowing anything. If you set out to learn something, you will definitely learn it if you try. If you want to gain a broader knowledge of this forum, explore the Bitcoin Discussion, Metaboard and other boards including the Beginniners and Help boards.

Now let's see how you can contribute to this forum. First of all if you want to contribute to this forum then you need to post good/high quality/theoretical and important posts from which people can benefit in various ways and learn something new.

Actually there are many things here. Where do I start?
It's a good question and we're the same question when I was also a newbie here in the forum.
Where do I begin?
Invest your precious time reading all of those pinned threads or sticky topics that have very important content, that's what you need for now.
The same as other platforms when we're using them, we should know first the terms and conditions, and we should always know the dos and don'ts to avoid restrictions on our account.

We're free to ask and share knowledge here, so don't be shy as long as you follow the rules and guidelines.
If you're here asking how to gain merit, well, forget it, focus on learning instead and it will come to you without noticing it.
I honestly want to gain something from this forum. Here I would like to introduce. Apologies if I made any mistakes in my comments

No you don't commit any mistakes from your comments since its tolerable for newbies. After all you don't have enough knowledge on how this forum works s for sure there's a lot of people will understand your situation especially if you are confuse on something. Gladly you navigate this section since there a lot to learn here.

Although its bit confusing to apply all those suggestions here but try to focus on what you think more interesting and understand it. Once you got knowledge or learn from that suggestion then move to the next topic then learn again. This maybe a long study to be made but for sure all will be worth it especially if you are consistent and have an good attitude and patience to adopt those important matter that can help your crypto career.

Mate I am also a newbie in this forum You get a single merit but till today no response from senior. Maybe I m not deserve about merit. Welcome to the forum! It's great to have you here however You are most senior to me. I hope we should be take some time to browse through the various topics and discussions on the forum. We can start by reading existing threads and comments to get a feel for the community and the types of discussions that take place.Maybe we don't have to dive deep into a subject right away start by participating in discussions that seem approachable.
The forum is not all about merits but about learning and studying well, because you may make a post today, and tou don't get merited at the start but on the long run, you still see people giving you merits in the future in fact up to years you can get merited for a contribution you make, so this is not about getting merited but about making quality contributions to discussions here.

Then again, be for now there is nothing like merits from other merits sources or members, up until 2018 when the merit system was introduced to the forum, and since then, this have helped to increase the quality of posts that member make, but even at that, themos may decide to introduce something else in the future that can replace merits,  so why border so much about your immediate merits or getting yourself worked up.
Boss! I have read your advice and realized.Your point about the long-term impact of contributions is particularly noteworthy sometimes the value of a post may not be immediately recognized but over time it can garner attention and appreciation am i right?

Welcome OP.

Make reading a habit and if you think that topic is for you and you are really interested to know more about. It won't hurt you to join the discussion and ask some questions that makes sense and don't get off topic with it.

The contribution that you can do is that, not everyone here that's high rank has always been knowledgeable with the lower ranks. So, if you've got some knowledge to share on an actual topic, don't be shy to share it.
Invest yourself in the forum. Make a lot of reading and comprehend every topic that you get interested in the forum. By being an open-minded person, fill your mind with different ideas and insights that are new to you, and learn from them as others may also gained new information and ideas from what you share to them. Make sure to follow all the rules and show respect in all other members so that you will gain respect in return. And lastly, trust in yourself that you have a lot of potentials and resources deep within yourself. Cultivate them so you can make advantage on it and maximize your time learning since it will reflect later on based on how you understand and value the forum itself.
Thank you so much for inspiring me. Your comment inspired me a lot. It seems that I have become interested in working in a new way. I was a bit disappointed but regained confidence with your comment
There's more to learn and you have to take a step at a time. Don't get confused because the quicker that you want to learn everything, you'll have hard time taking them all and extracting all of it.

You have the confidence into growing as a person through the forum and if you see your potential from within, believe that you can do it.

Don't forget to ask questions when you don't understand things as they'll be able to help you understand them clearer.

What can I contribute? Or how do I put my role in this forum? Please advise people who have experience. I don't know how deep I can get into a subject. Actually there are many things here. Where do I start? Thanks in advance for the advice.
I think what is making you get confused,  you feel you need to contribute to every topic in the forum. You don't need to put yourself on pressure just because you want to contribute to forum topics. I know you are a beginner  of bitcoin and you don't know much about bitcoin,  just take your time and learn, don't try to rush everything at a time . It is impossible to learn things with pressure,  learning is a gradual process and if you consistent in learning it won't take you time you will gain lot of knowledge.

Trying to meet up with forum discussions is one of the reason why most beginners in the forum always end up commiting plagiarism  is because they are in rush to meet up the standard of other forum members and they will have no choice than to take someone's writeup that doesn't belong to them. Don't rush , just learn first and you will flow well in contributing to discussions.

All you need is to stop writing about a topic which you do not have any interest. Let's say you do not like Gambling and do not understand how casinos work well, do not engage in those topics. It's just an example. It could be possible that you do not know how Bitcoin mining works, or you do not have interest joining these discussion, but still you want to post because you want to earn some merits and some activity as well. If you want to know more about this forum, explore Meta board, beginner and helps and some other boards too. Explore old threads to learn more about forum events and features.

Let me start by extending a warm welcome to you on this fantastic forum, Mate. One thing about this forum is that everything will be much easier for you after you understand the rules and regulations. You won't find anything to be that difficult. You've obviously been on this topic for a while because you admitted to yourself that it has been a while since you joined. However, given that you mentioned that there are a number of places you are unsure about, how would you encourage others to feel comfortable asking questions about locations they are unsure of and you don't understand.

Once more, if you truly want your journey to be simple and quick, you can read through the prior thread that some other users respectfully started here. I see that you have received several recommendations of links, please try go through through them they will be very beneficial for you.

You don't need to border or stress yourself in anyway. What I think you should do is to be calm, and do more of reading and comprehension to know what the room is all about.  When I started in this forum I thought it was like Facebook where you will just login, reply some few people and zoom of. but as I stayed longer I discovered that BTT is more like a class where a teacher teaches the student and the students grow to teach there junior students. But If you can't read through and understand properly you might be left behind by your class mate and you will repeat thesame class. Where new student will become your mate due to dullness.

This forum is very organized and I've seen that some members have shared some links that will be helpful to you, so you can get busy with them. I'll advise that you don't totally rely on members in this forum to help you with everything that you need to learn, make your own personal research to atleast gain basic knowledge of crypto, then you can start topic or join in discussions. On areas where you need help, you just need to ask, and from my experience here, many experienced members will not hesitate to answer your questions, so how you increase your crypto knowledge in this forum totally depends on you.

You should avoid saying that you are fairly new to this forum when you have already spent a year on this forum. If you fail to know the details of this forum even after spending a year then you can learn a lot by visiting these links.

You must post here to contribute to this forum so that others can learn or understand something new through that post. Moreover, those who are connected to this forum are trying to contribute to this forum in one way or another, maybe many have succeeded in contributing. You need to spend enough time in this forum for all these things.

With all due respect to all, I honestly want to gain something from this forum. Here I would like to introduce. Apologies if I made any mistakes in my comments

Took a quick look at your post history, and it does show that you lack knowledge of this space to be able to actually contribute(if you want to stick to the niche, which is Bitcoin). Take your time and educate yourself.

I would like to introduce myself completely new to this forum. I actually know very little about this forum.
You don't need to introduce you to this forum as a completely new member. Your member rank shows you are a new member and this introduction is not needed. Except if you are not a newbie, this introduction will be needed.

Now my heart desires that I will actually learn about any topic in this forum?
Not any topic, I am sure about that. There are good and bad topics in quality and even good topics, you will not have interest to learn all of them.

Start with forum rules, basic guides and keep rolling.

Quote

Your first contribution is don't spam.

Reading first.
Don't make posts and don't try to make posts as if you post with this style, you will 'contribute' spam posts.

You don't need to be assign any role in this forum. You join to learn so let's keep learning and as a member of this forum, try to help other newbies if you know something helpful can share and help them.

I don’t think you need any help navigating the forum, your post history shows you can do that quite well. The question I think you really want to ask this how do you get merit? I think that is what truly bothers you, the fact that you have not been able to get merits even though you have created five topics in the general board. I’m sure you have seen and read the advice that is being posted on here for newbies, taking time to learn a particular area of Bitcoin would vastly improve the quality of your posts.
I was looking out to see the ops mentioning either merits or ranks in his comment, but he was able to totally stay away from hitting the nail on the head may be for some obvious reasons, but then it was quite simple to achieve anything significant in this forum and from my experience,  there is nothing special about the forum and is not as if it a conventional academic ground that need some form of exams to validate one membership.

Here is a free Bitcoin discussion forum, and for that,  as long as a user is patient enough to read through everything that he finds interest in, there won't be any much issue getting used to the forum at most times and since you can constantly engage in discussions and getting helped or corrected most often it becomes easier to adapt and become a quality member at the end.

There’s actually a lot to offer from this forum, so you have to explore it first and read and understand every topic you become interested. Don’t worry what to share and contribute to the forum because as you go on reading, you will discover a lot of interesting topics related to the forum that will give relevant information to everyone even to those who are in higher position. Just focus on acquiring necessary information and learn from the different post of other forum members. That way, you will gained ideas from them as much as you can add new information for them to read and benefit as well.

@OP, your topic is just like a replica of the one I mentioned below. You can read it, and you will get some help with what you seek.

What significant impact is expected of new members of the forum?

You have already had 40+ posts on different boards, and yet you claim not to have enough idea about the forum. What more can the forums expect from you if not quality contribute to already-created topics or start a new topic?

You have already started; where else do you want to start? There are different boards and sub-boards on this forum, and you can just start from any board where topics that raise your interest are discussed or boards where you can learn things of your interest. If you want to learn about Bitcoin and also contribute to discussions about it, then you can find such discussions on the Bitcoin discussion board. So it's applicable to the altcoins discussion board as well as the economics board, technical board, politics and society board, etc. Start on any board where you are interested in the discussion.

Firstly OP welcome to the forum At the same time buddy no one can help you decide the role on the forum because it's you who will spend time here and you need to figure out what type of role you can avail in the community.

Becasue you must have any reason to join the forum, seek guidance, ask for help in any subject, share something, learn, and spend time throughout your crypto journey, etc. So on the basis of your intentions and expectations from the forum you can choose your role haha in your mindset as there's no tag here I'm sure you are aware of it. For the typical suggestion I would like to recall you about the rules on the forum for different sections.
