If SlowStroke or anyone else is interested I'd like to sell about $100 PokerStars for BTC.

All the bitcoin sites are using the same software. I might start up my own poker room at http://blackout.com and better promote it but currently I'm playing at btcontilt there's a refferal code in my sig I have no idea what it does.

sealswithclubs is always absolutely dead I never see a soul there.. btcontilt is better but it boils down to about the same 10 to 20 regulars.... a good poker site needs to spend some money on advertising and coop with a site like https://www.exchangebitcoins.com so that the novice can get chips easy and fast.

Currently in the U.S. the fastest way is to deposit cash into exchB then you can have your bitcoins within an hour (they are very fast) but then there is a delay on the poker site.. sometime bctontilt can be very slow and this is annoying.  When I send bitcoins on want them there on 1 confirmation when I withdraw I want them when I withdraw I don't want to wait for some kid running the site to check his e-mail and do it.  This is no good.

The issue here is twofold - texas hold em is geeky but main stream, but bitcoin is extremely geeky and non 'fish' average joe friendly - so people who are playing for real btc at the tables are all technophiles of some sort and that eliminates a huge influx of regular players (where profit comes)

It would be great if they did. I've tried a couple of the bitcoin poker sites, http://btcontilt.com/ looks really good once the client opens, but there's never many people in the ring games. We either need the major sites to accept BTC or more players in the btc poker sites. I think one would lead to the other.

I'd love the day for pokerstars and fulltilt to actually accept bitcoin... it could happen, right?

I'm interested. I have a few dollars. How do you do this, and what rate do you use?

I would recommend staying away from VirWox, especially with small amounts. Moneybookers or Paypal will take 50 cents plus 3.5% of anything you transfer, which adds up quickly.

VirWoX and WM-Center lets you trade BitCoins for Moneybookers which PokerStars accept. Otherwise you will have to trade with another player or forum user.

Why not use one of the poker sites that accept bitcoins, like this one:
https://secure.btcontilt.com/register.php
