You remind me of myself four years ago... good luck mate...  it took me 2 years to have my project working, with some bugs
4 years and is working okay, now is working on making it grow.... but Monterrey, Mexico is not a Bitcoin friendly city.... so I am starting to have meetings to find support.....

Are people just throwing out random programming languages?
Why would he need Python PHP and Perl? These are all server side languages, you'll likely only need one and not all three.
Ruby is all purpose and can be used for both client and server side scripting.

If you want to LEARN, you should start with the easy ones, HTML and CSS. Once you have that down begin Javascript and PHP or Python.
Once you know those 4 HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP/Python all future languages will be that much easier to learn. They start to become very similar and you can start reading code like reading a book.

This will get you started with a dice site, if you are going for a full blown casino with graphics you'll need a team for sure.

I never said OP has to learn ALL of them. I said to choose ONE and choose it well.

Right, I forgot about ruby and perl for web. I'd stick to the more k bowl languages since they have more maintained crypto libraries.

It would make sense to choose a secure language in which code is easily maintainable.

so i need a lot of experience on these languages.

Html, css
Java
Php
python
perl
ruby
..........

how much time Java, php, python perl and ruby will take in learning basic to advance ?

Love BTC!
Hey,

Hire a team of programmers and security experts if you want to go to the pro league and you do have the funds.

Imo a solid casino should start with 100k USD ++ or around 400 BTC.

You will need:

Security Team
Funds security
Developers
Integrations which cost money from major game developers
Marketing budget
Affiliate manager
Good backend to avoid fraud
etc.

If you want to be licesned to get more access to games from companies like netent eguzi etc you will need a license.

You can also check SoftSwiss or CoinGaming.io they have some white label solutions.

What is your budget for this project? People will not trust you if you dont let them know what is your bankroll and you are new.

Good luck!

It strongly depends on your learning habits and abilities. You only need one of the web backend languages, so you could just stick to Java, HTML, CSS, JS. The nice thing is that Java is quite versatile (handling both web backend and payments handling with bitcoinj)

and what about the hash thing ?
Do you mean the provabily fair system?

That requires knowing a bit of crypto. You can then implement it in whatever language you're using (JS on client, whatever webserver language you're using on server)

Hey guys, i want to start my own gambling casino. please guide/suggest me how many programming languages do i have to learn before it. and how much time it will take in learning them.
Thanks.

I think a good start for you can be the https://www.moneypot.com/ API, they give any one the chance create a casino and the best part is that you don't need a bankroll for it.

I want to start everything at my own.

This is certainly not a small venture. You're going to need, at the least: HTML, CSS, JS for frontend. For backend, PHP (unrecommended), Java, NodeJS. Coin handling will require C++ or Java. This will all take a large amount of work to keep running, and even more work to keep running securely.

You need 100BTC at least to start thinking about it :-)

This. I think it is pretty hard to learn about the coding (maybe you can better ask a known programmer to do this for you). Next to this, I think you need A LOT of BTC! What if some big spenders join your casino? You've to be able to pay their winnings.

Like Hexafraction mentions, you might look for investors to collect enough funds. The programming of the casino is probably going to cost a lot too. (The same applies for security experts).

However, before you go further with your plans, think about what makes your casino different from others. There are multiple Bitcoin gambling casino's these days, and a lot have already proven themselves. Competing with them is going to be a very harsh job: your casino somehow needs to be different. A clone (with a new design or something) will not be sufficient. A lot of marketing should be nessecary, which is also going to cost A LOT.

My brother is mining bitcoins from 2011 Tongue now you can get Guess his wallet's balance :p

Well, im familiar with c, c++, html, java, php. But heard from a lot of geeks that Ruby on rails, perl , python needs a lot in this field

Learning this take 2-3 years+

I would edit a post to add additional information. Otherwise it looks like you're trying to boost post count for your signature campaign.

Anyway, I'd definitely look for investors and other developers, security experts, etc first.
