they are safe on your account already and your free to spend them as you like.
cofirmations just matter when someones trying to double-spend coins, or to prevent that somehow, as far as i understand it,
but i've actually no clue.  Cheesy

there have been some recommendations here,
but this seems like a good question for the FAQ to me, maybe add some reasons, why.

Valerius, before you start getting bitcoins - make sure you use
the latest Bitcoin version (currently 0.3.13) to not be deceived.

why ?  Is 0.3.12 that bad ?

what amount(s) are you looking for?
on a regular basis, or just to get some to start with?

i might be willing to remove some dust of my never used LR account, that i created about 3years ago, Cheesy
depending on what you want and are willing to pay for sure.

LOL Liberty Reserve does not charge any monthly fee's
you only pay 1% fee to send, receiving is free.

Well, they haven't so far, but their terms of service allow them to do so any time they want.  See above.

Yes i understand, but those same terms have been in place for quite sometime now
and still no monthly charges. Although i do see your point.

Thanks to all posts guys...

@grondilu,
It is on their terms maybe to assure them the right to charge it but the "month fee" was never charged. No one never was charged with this fee. The only fee that exists in the system is when you accepts a payment they will charge 1%. Capped at the max of $2.99 per transfer. So if you accepts a 1k transfer, you will not pay 1% but only $2.99.

Ok, I may reconsider my position about LR then (I guess if they start charging monthly I can just close my account).  Won't be soon, though.

Good luck with your business.

I want to start to buy bitcoins with LR. If you are trusted enough sure I will take the risk to pay you upfront. If I'm not comfortable with your reputation, don't let it as a personal as it isn't but sorry I have to ask you to pay first.

You can visit Bitcoin Store or bitcoinmarket to buy bitcoins with LR.

Lol, monthly fees? really? sounds scammy if that is the case.

Section 11 of their Terms of Service :

11.1. Issuer reserves the right to assess and collect the following fees from
Users account the following fees: (i) Monthly Fee; collected by Issuer
monthly from Users account; (ii) Transfer Fee, deducted by Issuer in USD from
the recipient account of a Transfer, these fees are available in Issuers web
page in the Fees page; (iii) Administrative Fees, collected by Issuer for
providing support to User when User contacts Issuer and Issuer is not
 at fault.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think very few people here are interested in LR.

As far as I'm concerned, when I learned about bitcoins, I immediately tried to find a way to buy some efficiently and to do so at some point I thought LR was a solution.

But when I saw their Terms Agreements, I red that there are some monthly fees, so I just forgot about it.  Just no way.
