Its not possible that 1 Bitcoin reaches to $50k. If it is gone then we will all be so much surprised  Smiley

Reaching those numbers is mathematically possible, though there are some deciding factors that needs to be weighed before we get there i.e. supply, demand, interest on the masses, number of businesses/merchants in the economy etc. For some predictions as to where bitcoin will go, it's nice to get a good read in here: https://www.tradingview.com/chart/bitcoin/

some people think despite with all the praise with bitcoin.

bitcoin is actually broken in many ways that dont see it. One of them being the bitcoin needing to be split. Some point out here in the article.

http://insidebitcoins.com/news/andreas-antonopoulos-bitcoin-terminology-is-completely-broken/34641

The article states that only the terminology is broken, not the concept or the system that is within bitcoin itself.

it seems like the guys just skimmed read. Or just speed read to get the important part lol.

its always important to read everything twice.. bitcoin itself is still going great as a system. The whole article is about how we should market bitcoin better lol.

lol in a decade or more fiat will worth almost nothing, i dont think people will trade their bitcoin for worthless paper...

looks like no one remember how many things people buy decades ago with their salary in fiat and how much time they needed to pay their house  Grin

fiat infaltion is 8% per year, but the point is that they can simply print more and distribute more to their people, so if goods will cost more and you can buy less, they will simply increases your wage and you will be able to buy the same stuff as before, i doubt fiat will ever cease to exist, bitcoin will never replace fiat at best it can be used as a good alternative

That sound fair, the reality they never increase your wage most likely they are freezing it, at least in my country and soon in all world. And who will have a wage after all if technology destroy almost all jobs?

I dont think fiat will survive that transition to a super technological society, maybe bitcoin will survive that because computer are generating the blocks and you dont need to work for any centralise entity  Tongue

So what do you think the government will go when they see their fiat fail terribly? They'd get their hands on block chain technology and use it to create their own cryptocurrency which will strictly be centralized, they will have unfair power and monopoly again, something that they cannot achieve if they use bitcoin as their currency rather than creating their own, which is highly unlikely to happen.

This is why educating the population must be a priority. So they can see for themselves that process for what it is… a scam.

I believe you. I'm assuming that by 'I will not die' you mean having your brain preserved in formalin for the next 5000 years and then being resuscitated within a cybernetic body once humanity acquires the technology. I'm certainly not averse to having a few Bitcoins worth 50K each, provided the cost of a loaf of bread is not 25k when it happens  Cheesy
Seriously though, it'd be awesome if that happened. Fingers crossed.

50k will happen by 2020

For 1 btc to reach $50k, bitcoin should really be mass adopted and used throughout the world like paypal is used today. When you consider a low number of coins and high number of people living on this planet, this is very achievable. But to reach this level of mass adoption, we need time. 5 years is to low, I would say 10 years, so maybe $50k will be possible by 2025, we'll see!

I dont see this happening in the next couple of years.

Unless people figure out that since bitcoin has cheaper fees of sending money, people drop western union or paypal, but more versus western union.

BTC will reach 98K very soon and this article is about that.

yep, maybe in 15-20 years. that is quite soon  Wink
(or zero)

If I have to wait 15-20 years i rather just drop the coin now.

And then update with whats going on within the last year to see its rise on bitcoin then lol.

If its zero, then at least we all had a chance to get free few lum sum of money in our pockets.

Nothing is for certain my friend, the market can have a huge bubble or crash the very next day and you'd be left commenting on threads about how fucked up volatility is. Statistics portray that it is unlikely for bitcoin to increase in its price value but if you look at older statistics, the price of bitcoin is supposed to be much more than what it is. Ofcourse adoption takes time, but its never impossible.
