Since ICO is one of the easy source of company funding, so there are many project that keep opening an ICO when they are trying to start their business. Getting a funding in real world is so much hard if we don't really has a solid project to begin with.

If I understand and see that the project is really not complicated and the project has a transparent structure, if in general I understand that today there is no such project on the market as proposed. If all this is true, but of course I will invest in the project.

I think that the assembled hardcap is a very important point. This makes it clear that the project was supported by a large number of investors. In my experience, a very small percentage of the cobblers succeed. This means that the project may soon be listed on the stock exchange.

I will start investing in ICOs if
1) they can afford funds on there own to run there projects and stop relying on softcaps and hardcaps(investors money) which is why its the perfect haven for scammers ,you want to create a project that is very promising and you don't have the funds just move on ,no matter how good the project is if the hardcap is not achieved its goodbye

2)the waiting game is annoying ,if they follow my 1st idea there won't be anything holding them back especially bounty rewards ,nowadays you have to wait months for ICO to end and keep praying it become successful so as to get your rewards and the term successful from any ICO is from 'achievement of hardcaps ' this days not what the project is here to deliver ,there are still good projects out there that never launch ICO and they are doing better

What? Do you not consider the very basic idea why cryptocurrency is created? for peer to peer transaction without ease and difficulty. That's the main point, I hope I can convince you with that, so you should see the practical purpose of the crypto in order to be happy upon using it in your own way so you can avoid disappointment.

All these aspects would become true on the bullish market. Right now no ICO would do this and I think the only thing we need to change is to find a way of how to protect investors from fraud projects. It is a very important step and it would help to attract a lot of new audience to our market.

Everyone maybe have their own hope in this world. But in fact, they wouldn't do ICO if they have funds to develop their project. And people now maybe only need to make it simple, if we don't like ICO project, just don't invest on it.

Since the market is not in a good trend, its good to have a guidelines before investing on ICO’s since its too risky to invest on ICO right now because of scams investment. You can also invest on some altcoins like ETH and XRP that is already on a top position which can give profit to you, but its your choice what to buy.

You are right. Due to uncertain market conditions it is very much required that projects should have own funds rather than waiting for softcap or hardcap reach.
This will make them prepare for worst conditions and to continue development.
I have seen icos raised only 10% of hardcap due to bad market situation.
For a successful projects,is very much important that they have a strong foundation.
For bounty rewards, I see it's a game of patience. However it's required that they should not delay the distribution from what timeline it's been decided.

I prefer to invest in altcoins instead of investing in the ICO project, because for me investing in altcoins is also good for us to make a profit every day with me trading on the market.
Most of the altcoins now are already make a big impact in the market and its good to invest on that compare to any ICO. But still there are some good projects that its worth to support and for sure it can be a good altcoins too in the future. Its good to have standard like that before you invest on ICO, that means you are not joining the hype and you are making your own research.

Can completely ignore ICO investment because the kind doesn't have any that kind of sales when it is was released so it really depends on how good the project not based on the project but the advertisement strategy may increase the rate if success so don't invest if it is bad.

Frankly, I still don't think about investing in ICO, the experience during 2018 is enough to make me think again if I want to invest in ICO. I prefer short-term trading in the meantime.

These your choice, you can't play drama as you want when investing, there are some parties you have to believe and can run your money well. However, if you are not prepared to face the wishes of some of these parties, you should not invest in ICO anymore. Just look for a good coin in your opinion without expecting people's suggestions. Investing is about money, you have to be able to make sure the money you spend can give you profit.

I have never seen ico using its own funds. ico the use of investor funds. many ico have failed and returned investors' funds. What are you afraid of? You just have to choose a good ico. and you have to see how their teams, products, advisors, and partners.

Most of us here in this forum already knew that ICO is dead and thanks to those scam projects which gave a bad reputation to cryptocurrency. I agree with your ideas specially on supporting their project without relying on softcap or hardcap. The project must be 80% develop before raising an ICO. That way, most investors are secured that this project will survive and more opportunities to improve it.

I will start investing in ico if the team has a featured buy back program. Because even if the price of the coin is below dropping, if they had a buy back program, the price of the coin will go back to normal again.

for myself, this year I still see the development of ICO in this year, but I don't intend to invest in IOC because last year I encountered several fake Iico projects and many of them did not pay.

In my opinion, I'd better invest in ICO after they reach the softcap and hardcap and until they can get a list in the exchange because it means, the price can get lower than the ICO price. That will be a great time for me to buy the tokens because the price is not too high and besides that, I will invest bigger if I think the project can compete with the other tokens with the similar project. But I realize that to choose the right ICO will be difficult since there is too many ICO in out there.

i would never invest in any ICO under any circumstances because it is obvious to me that they don't have any future and any profit that they may give you is based on your luck not based on their success. in other words you can only make profit from investing in some ICO only if the ICO can fool a lot of people into giving them their money and gets pumped afterwards. otherwise you are throwing your money away in a gambling game with bad odds.

This is one of the biggest problems of ICOs. Projects can make ICO process as flexible as they want. For example, last year when the ETH price was $ 800, the project was not successful, but decided to return the funds it collected. The price of 1 ETH was $ 200 when they decided to return. Investors kept their money for months and their money fell to 1/4.
