To be honest , anytime I have invested into ICO's , I had always won in $. It's take time and good research to find a good ICO in these days. My next ICO that I will invest after TriForce token is the NEXT BIG THING called TokenPay.
But the difference is that you are not throwing your money around like some people in the forum, at least you are making your due diligence before investing I can assure you there are not many people like you in the forum that are taking the time and effort to perform their own research.

Of course it's the best way but you should be intelligent in your choices of icos that you went to invest in, you should choose carefully the projects. 
I think ico is a great way to invest because you will get a lot of benefits from ico projects. you just buy altcoin with very cheap price then save it so that in future you will get big profit. it's very easy to do because the coins price will change very quickly
to gains with beginning involvesment with the projects on crypto finance as investor might follows with the future extent as distinguish strategics as extending plan to goes with the higher shifts on level with the terms on projection.

You can definitely get more return by investing during ICO if coin growth afterwards, but there is much more risk that launch won't happen or that it won't grow afterwards. When investing after ICO you at least can see if there is a market for the coin and if company delivered results promised on ICO (and if it actually exists).

Ico is the best way to invest only if the project becoming succesful after it launching. But is also a sure way to lose your hard earned income if is a scam.
In my opinion ICO is good way to earn money but not the best. I think too it is good only for people whose have big knowledge and experience, because newbies will be able get money in this way, it will be too hard for them
You can make so much money with good ico but lose all your money with bad ico. There are a lot of scams these days, you need to pick the right icos to invest. IMO even if you invest at all (scam including) ICOs this strategy still could have high ROI. So if you choose projects carefully you may get very high ROI!
