I also see if ico scam is the main cause for a lot of doubts. so this can lead to uncertainty for many people, especially investors, many investors choose to hold assets rather than speculate on losses
If you are sick with ICO because of a lot of cheating, scam, and spam then I also think that way. however, ICO is proof that Cryptocurrency is still growing. So we should be able to take advantage of it.
a large number of scammers is the cause of the deterioration of trust in the ICO especially in addition to market conditions that do not support making the ICO increasingly destroyed. therefore I hope the ICO project improves their security so that people don't make ICO easily so they can reduce scammers.
No funds no project idea makes me sick and tired of ICO ,I never like the idea right from the beginning ,why? Well to me if you are the owner of your business or company and you have struggled a lot to build it you won't dare want to let go or see it crumbled and fail,this is not present in ICO cases ,ICO is just like "oh if not much funds then I will back off and reopen another project maybe we can reach the hard cap" ,well if every developers are the ones funding there projects they will be more serious to make it a successful one,the easy safe path of backing out if hardcap is never achieved makes it feel easy for every one especially the scammers, I'm not been heartless ,if you don't have money to fund your project just don't bother ,many coins out there have no ICO ,no premine ,no bullshit with fine price per coin ,they never want any funds ,coins like masari ,Loki,haven project, dero rely on nobody fund yet they perform better than hundreds of ICO.

Many ico tell a lie commitment to the investors and collect Ethereum. But now the investors are intelligent and not interested in the ico.
contrary to various things I experienced after talking to ico investors, in fact they did not shy away at all, they really analyzed ico more to the effectiveness of distribution and transactional in a very short time, they did not see the project for a long run because already too tired, in their minds just a way to get profit as soon as possible. My assumption is that they are no longer interested in the quality of the project from ico that is followed, they only move from a profit perspective.

There are some projects that make me sick as well. I really do not get it, why these projects are aiming to collect millions of dollars for a piece of paper (I mean whitepaper), because only 2 percent of all ICOs can provide a working product before the launch.

Binance has sprung a surprise and have had 2 successful ICOS event, bittrex is also joining the team, so i advise if you are an investor, just join the hypes now and always do your own research every time.
Its simple don't invest into icos without doing hard research on the company, there are too many people trying to earn a quick buck just throwing their cash into icos.

Wow, do you mean that 99% of ICO are just scam? I don't think so. Maybe you could say that base of your experience but in the reality. Yes, we can't deny that we are flooded of nonsense ICO or just a duplicate projects but saying 99% is big enough, and I feel that it could be in 60%.
Yes that's true, ICO makes me sick. For a one year of being work for our bounty, the manager declares it that the ICO was not met its target, I feel so upset about it, because i spend my time in that project, after that it states that ICO will not met its target and they cannot give the required amount to the bounties.

You are right the ICO market get manipulated the moment the quest to raise money set in the scammer now found it an opportunity to run away with investors found all with the excuse of not reaching the hardcap. 
If you don't like the ICO kind of investment model then yu should buy crypto currencies and start making money from trading or holding,there is no need to invest on new projects if you want to make money.But you need to know that if a project want to get developed it needs enough funds or better drop it initially will save lot of time and effort for the team.
You should really not give bad advice to people. Guy's lost money investing in ICO clearly, so the last thing we should be telling him is to go and buy even more crypto. Of course I think Bitcoin is always where the smart money goes in the long term but you don't just trade and hold and instantly make money. Most guys trading and holding since start of 2018 are in deep losses now. Just save your stash in Bitcoin, but don't hope for anything big, then check back in a few years.
I agree to some of your ideas that when they started a project they should really have a capital for it but I guess there's also some cases that some of them are not really have that much when they need to do some big developments that need a lot of funds that more than what they have now.
The ideas should be an additional funds not the actual one, developers should have initial capital to work with their ambitious projects, not to reliedwith investors money for them to continue and make a good success projects who can be developed even with small supports are mostly the best
one to look out when dealing with this industry.
A tough job finding potential coins that will comes up this ico setup, many quits or become scam projects without completing the time frame.
this is 2019, this year is a bad year for some ICO projects, they are SCAMs, they extend their ICO time because the tokens don't reach the softcap, even the bounty reward is discounted.
