ICO is currently experiencing a number of obstacles, one of which is the difficulty of achieving hard-stamp, even soft-stamp is very difficult to achieve, the problem is that many investors are starting to look for finished projects, I think the ICO must be corrected so that the ICO does not die, or experiences unlimited time extension .
ICO makes me disappointed and hopeless when i lost money to investing in the different potential projects. A few promising project can't raise hard cap i mean fail and a lot of projects looking good but behind the scene going to scam. So there are no attraction to plan invest in the new ico project and sometimes for suspecious activities in team member. Also many scammer try to build up own project and collect fund.
The reputation of ICO's are not good right now, many scam project, many failed project. If you invest on this one right now, you will just waste some money and your time of course. ICO will be great again but I think it will not happen again unless the bull market comes. So try to invest on more established coins. 
The problem is that the purpose of many projects is initially - deception. Developers aim to get there I understand that to create they nothing going. Only stupid people believe words. You have to trust your actions. ICO time has come to an end.
I understand your feeling but we need to accept it. The crypto market is very harsh and it is not as simple as people think. That is why many people commit suicide when investing in crypto.
We need to keep the cool head for analysis and evaluation. If we don't have sanity, we will lose everything.

that is why must to be more careful about choosing a project, there are lots of tokens that are not valuable in many address, the bad possibility is that dev and team run to carry investor funds. we also have to review the talk of other people in Ann thread about the project there are many negative or positive conversations, we should often visit and talk in the Ann to assess the quality of the project always be vigilant to start a business
No funds no project idea makes me sick and tired of ICO ,I never like the idea right from the beginning ,why? Well to me if you are the owner of your business or company and you have struggled a lot to build it you won't dare want to let go or see it crumbled and fail,this is not present in ICO cases ,ICO is just like "oh if not much funds then I will back off and reopen another project maybe we can reach the hard cap" ,well if every developers are the ones funding there projects they will be more serious to make it a successful one,the easy safe path of backing out if hardcap is never achieved makes it feel easy for every one especially the scammers, I'm not been heartless ,if you don't have money to fund your project just don't bother ,many coins out there have no ICO ,no premine ,no bullshit with fine price per coin ,they never want any funds ,coins like masari ,Loki,haven project, dero rely on nobody fund yet they perform better than hundreds of ICO.
There are better options than icos
You can decide to wait for token listing , wait for the dump and buy back the tokens in low volume

I didn't like the idea of ICO, many investors lost trust in crypto because of many scam ICO out there that makes a lot of promises and don't even get to fulfill a single one. The worst part about it now is that most startup that want to run ICOs don't even have the funds to even pay a good developer, how can you be offering to pay a developer your coin which he/she created for you. The dev can just create a lot of coin and store in his wallet without need for your coins/token.
Just find good projects. If you would take part in every ICO even without making your own research, you will only lose your time. Search for really perspective projects and try to invest in them before the hype starts.
indeed it is very difficult to find a truly good ICO and have a future because of the many scammers who use the situation to seek profits and the impact is that investors are now hesitant to invest in the ICO. but I am sure this year there will be a good ICO even though we are very difficult to find out.

The idea behind the ICO was to enable the start ups developing their products based on blockchchain technology, by raising funds. Since they do not have much resources to do it, only way is the collect funds from private investors and from small investors like us. Once project receives enough funds, they can spend it on team expansion and thus full development of the product.
But as world is full of scammers, some people are taking advantages of it.
Not showing how much they raised, no updates on development in months, no signs of forwarding of the project, and as you mentioned, opening another similar project to increase funds.
This cause losses to no one but small investors.
I feel that we should invest only in projects which have strong existing foundation.

Sincerely I'm not a fan of ICO, how they collect investors money on bare promises which they never fulfil. The sad part is that some refuse to distribute bought tokens even months after ICO, giving one flimsy excuse or another.
I believe the ICO market is die off, see Grin model, most of the exchanges are pledging part of their trading fees to the platform, this is another model to follow. I believe the craze about getting into ICO before its hit the market is gone, because people are getting better deal buying on exchanges than buying into ICO, reason being that so many of these projects gives huge discounts to early investors which start dumping immediately the tokens hit exchanges.

definitely a lot more investors will be affected by the ICO your investment because the development will not happen to any investment in the previous year so it will be a difficult situation and take a risk for the next way of money making so definitely need some changes from here.
So many ICOs failed, because they could not raise the required found and some are still making sales, still pursuing hardcap for almost a year now, if not up to a year. An example of such is Zero carbon project and there are couple of others too

In my observation regarding about the ico projects so far, there are ico project that has budget fund for their project and some are don't have, they have the guts to create an ico because literally they collect fund from the investors who will get interest to buy their token according to the price they released to their announcement. Though for the past many months since last year which is 2018 lots of the ico are scams and few of them only are legit.

Friend, I see you as well as I am a hunter. Knowing how many projects do not pay money and disappear, are you still continuing to invest? All that I can invest in good projects today is my time. Now I have high hopes for the music project, I hope the developers will not let us down.

I read through this post and smiled. Reason being that I've been a victim of scam ICOs and right now before I dare buy into any ICO, I must have done several research and made sure the project has a great team and good backings, if not count me out. Most team members are interested in the funds and not the actual project development.
