Oh, you love cats? Sign me up than.
(but seriously, I'm a cat person, and almost everyone that I have ever become close friends with are also cat people.. including both of my spouses.. if I launch a coin I will have it use Proof of Cat)
OK, enough rambling.. some questions:
1) how will the initial coins be distributed?
2) what's the total supply?
3) will all the coins be available immediately like with PoS (e.g. NXT or Bitshares), or gradually like with PoW (e.g. Bitcoin)?
4) what platforms will be supported initially? (windows, linux, android, mac)
5) will the first release be GUI or command line only?
Good luck with your project.
Cat Power Will definitely join a "Proof of Cat" project! heh.. i will even train my cat to mine, if it will be possible
Q&A:
1) how will the initial coins be distributed?
Our Prime strategy is to educate the community. We have a new technological approach to a common problem. We think that our step by step introduction to the concept and its potential is the way to gain value and interest. Of course this alone is not enough, so we will have to consolidate this within an IPO. The best way to distribute the coins and engage in an active market, as well as to conserve value, will be to hold the distribution and IPO on an authorized exchange. This way the exchange will act as an arbiter, and will provide and ensure an escrow service, those creating confidence for the investment.
2) what's the total supply?
We are going to release a finite supply of 50 000 000 coins in the genesis block.
3) will all the coins be available immediately like with PoS (e.g. NXT or Bitshares), or gradually like with PoW (e.g. Bitcoin)?
The coins will be available immediately, a non inflationary system is set in place.
4) what platforms will be supported initially? (windows, linux, android, mac)
Initially we will have a linux/windows/mac version for the stable version of Edon. You will be able to test the Wallet on our TestNet soon.
Also for the ease of development we'll concentrate on certain platform and release an updated version at certain block height.
5) will the first release be GUI or command line only?
I think both, although the User experience is a priority, more nodes in the network are welcome.
You have my interest, I will be following this one.
