i dont think this is the right question to ask, if the project is just to build some apps does it will need 10m usd ? and if the project is about build some realestate does 10m even enough ?

In your opinion, how much soft cap ICO should have?
i think this is useless poll, because ICO’s have different softcap to reach their funding, but in my opinion the ICO that have less softcap mostly success in their campaign and bounty programs, because good platform and project doesnt need more fundings but need a few good developers to build a strong ICO.

With a large softcap does not guarantee that the project will actually be realized, there are even some that do not fit the road map or do not go well. The minimal funding targets that a project must accomplish for the sake of the project's sustainability are subject to the idea of the project they are pursuing.

Anyway ,it depends upon the project.5 to 15 million base in my observation to the bounties that i have participated. The developer will explain if where they will use the big funds  .So, for me soft also is important because it will show the image or the run of the project if  its demand to investors or not.Reaching the soft cap is a successful sign because they got the minimum funds to their project.Mostly if the ico will not reach the soft cap is a failed project.

In your opinion, how much soft cap ICO should have?
it depends on the project, they have different kinds of used for their altcoin, different pricing, and different number of supply. so we cannot tell if how much must be the soft cap of ICO should have. it all depends on the project and the developer of the ICO.

It really depends on the complexity and requirements of the project... if you are just creating some software and only need a couple of developers and advisors then you definitely need a lot less then if you are building self driving cars for example.

That's absolutely depends on the project. If the founders can explain why they need that much money as they ask, then it can take any figure.

You can never tell this because each ICOs may need different amount for start up but to at least give my opinion this is around 5 to 10 million. These are the normal range I encounter whenever I join bounties.

It depends on the developer and also the need for the project itself.
But if it is a bit softcap maybe its developer have enough funds and not too dependent on the investor.

I think every ico does not have to set too high softcap because now ico is too much and mostly end up a scam that causes less trust of an investor to ico.

That is Nonsense question, it depends on project but in fact you reflect the ICOs by asking this question. Irrelevant of project they want money as much as possible.

In your opinion, how much soft cap ICO should have?

Vote for soft cap is funny,,
Because each project need a different amount of funds to develop their project,,
So, its depends on how much the min amount they needed to start their project

It's project dependent but I don't think that any projects should ever need more than a few million to at least be a success in some capacity. It's enough to develop almost any blockchain project and if further funding is needed that can be done once there is a working product to showcase to potential investors. I'm always skeptical of ICOs with high soft caps.

It depends on the nature of the project. Some require less while others require more. But if the soft cap is running into several millions while the industry says it needs less, then there's cause for concern.
But in all, it's always available to be watchful as scams are numerous these days.
