Opening the Doors for Everyday Users
One of our goals for 2018 was to open the door to mass adoption by introducing a fiat ramp-up service on our platform. Today, we are excited to announce the release of the first stage of the fiat ramp-up: over-the-counter (OTC) deals.

This gives ICONOMI users everything they need to enter the crypto-economy in one place: purchasing and selling bitcoin and ether with fiat, and diversifying their digital portfolio through baskets of cryptocurrencies (Digital Asset Arrays).

Introducing Fiat Deposits and Withdrawals
For Users
In an OTC trade, eligible users can make a deal with ICONOMI to purchase a certain amount of bitcoin or ether, pay using their bank account, and receive their bitcoin or ether directly to their ICONOMI account.
As communicated in our Q1 2018 Financial Report, we will be releasing the fiat ramp-up in several stages. During the first stage, fiat deposits and withdrawals require a minimum of 50K EUR and are processed as over-the-counter deals.

This is the second part in our series answering frequently asked questions concerning eICN. Part I is available here. Can I change my mind after submitting my non-binding interest/completing the exchange process?
Yes. If an ICN token holder changes their preference, they can revisit www.iconomi.com at any time during the non-binding period, click the “Exchange ICN” button, and cancel their previous choice. After cancellation, ICN token holders can repeat the process by choosing to exchange a smaller amount of their ICN tokens for eICN tokens, or choosing to exchange their ICN tokens for ETH instead of exchanging them for eICN tokens. The only process that is final and unable to be changed is the exchange of ICN tokens for ETH (see below). The process can be repeated several times within the periods indicated in our latest announcement.
Notwithstanding the above, please note that since the first exchange of ICN tokens for ETH will be done in December 2018, i.e., during the first round of submission of non-binding interest for exchanging ICN tokens for eICN tokens, once the process of exchange of ICN tokens for ETH is irreversible (please see the technical description below), ICN token holders can no longer change their mind about exchanging their ICN tokens for ETH.
What is the exchange rate between ICN tokens and eICN tokens?
We currently predict that the exchange rate between ICN tokens and eICN security tokens will be 1:1 (i.e., for one ICN tokens, one eICN security token will be issued).

ICONOMI Financial Report — Q1 2019

Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, said that change is the only constant in life. And with that in mind, we also started 2019. As a team, we became leaner and our focus on the users gave its first results: launching new webpage, accompanied by more active status on our social media networks. The direction is set and ICONOMI Next is our new manifestation.

In Q1 our book value decreased slightly from 37.2 to 36 million USD. In January, we converted the second tranche of ICN to ETH. We partially sold positions in MANA, Aergo, and Bitcoin. Going forward we will disclose major positions we hold, while other transactions will be mentioned in comments. Regarding the previously undisclosed investments, these investments are Aergo, Arweave, Carry, Hypernet 1, Hypernet 2, Thunder, Oasis, Origo, Witnet, and Nucypher. We are proud to be an investor in these great projects, some of which are now trading at up 5x our investment multiples.

We will continue with selling alt coins and streamline our portfolio to core investments, while at the same time maintaining enough fiat for funding our operations.
Looking at our burn rate, we see significant improvement. While revenues in Q1 did not change much (platform fees were 40k, while staking fees were 38k), we decreased expenditures by almost a third. The main cut was in salaries (smaller team) and services costs. Legal costs (mainly related to eICN process and AML) and marketing costs are the main contributors to service costs.

can you give us advice on how the marketing strategy was carried out by the team? perhaps the current ICN needed is a strategy to add new fresh investors because the ICN price drops $ 0.20 USD which is 16.00% this time!
