Just sent a neg feedback to both, @smyslov and @bluepowder.
Low life people that fudding this thread for a few days.
To both of you, if the project is too complex and too much driven by the feedbacks of the active users, just get away. You simply can't understand how the project works.
I am very sorry to see a thread that used to be so much about idena itself started to be just a place for spams and fud with non sense.
It's fair to have different opinions. It's totally fair.
My opinion a few weeks ago about selling invites:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53901024Hello I am M. I have just joined the network; may I have an invite? -silence- why would now anyone send an invite when they get paid anyway? -This got worse than the last replies we had here about people humilating themselves on public channels-.
But all the users are still not getting out invitations because there is no point of doing it anymore, why would I risk my invite when I am getting paid anyway and i have a 50% chance of getting another 1/3 ?
If someone was taking invites and messing arround with them, that's it own business and the business of the inviters, you can't stop this by the blockchain code no matter how smart you think you are. Whatever...It's still testnet, but these changes will decrease amazingly the coming of the new users.
Andrew said that he is not going to give any invite from last epoch. If I see any invite coming out from him this epoch it means the project is a scam or they are trying to take as much mining now as possible.
As matter of fact Andrew is still giving invites, but slowly they start not to be noticed. The cap of the invitation of foundation address is 500, right now I think is arround 300. But his invites won't matter if the project will reach 15-20k verified members.
But still, even if Andrew won't send the invites, he will still take coins out of the minted budget, so we, the users are losing again.
About selling, yep. I also suggested in all the channels, let's do a system with collateral, let's do a channel about selling. There is no wish for it, but some long term members are selling but officially deny or maybe even ban you from telegram. That's ain't so cool tho but I get their point.
We are an open community that tries to understand how to do things for a better use. The flip issue, most of users just join without doing any research. We got to the moment to have the short session fucked by those who don't care about the need of common sense for the validation requirments. But somehow thats also not so bad, we're looking in solution of how to make the newbies be more responsible about the flips, also the flip school where 5% of invites are sent.
To another point, 450 invites sent last epoch. Less than half passed the validation. This means more than pottentially 30-40k dna lost by the good faith members that gave their invitations. Buying/selling with what looks to be right now sounds quite good.
YES it is free to generate it. But it can cost you from the part of your participation on the network.
The update that came 3-4 epochs ago was also good, there were so many people that were taking invites and they were messing with them, not using them. Now people are more selective. Those who want to pay, and it ain't so much 50 bucks as matter of fact. You get that back during the first epoch.. People that are paying really want to do it, and they don't want to lose their money. Also the active people that really care they will obtain an invite. Invites are posted from time to time in discord/telegram, just random on the general channel.
To come back to the idiots @smyslov and @bluepowder. Stay away of this project if you don't understand they way it is. This project learns epoch by epoch and tries to become better. There is no perfect system, but idena for now proved that so many more can be done.
