I think both can work together with anybody, especially if that person has the luck. We can also get rich if we are hard-working, and we can found a perfect job that can give us big money. With more luck, the chance to become rich will be bigger, and that can change from the poor man's becoming rich quickly.
Usually if you cannot see this person working or the poor to rich road happens too fast then something goes wrong here.

There are many things like somebody who has invested some amount even in btc during initial days and sold during the high would be millionaire.
