By and large, there is nothing wrong with that. That's just not every investor wants to invest in such a project.Everyone needs public access and openness.Another option is that if the project really offers the coolest anonymous application or wallet, then it is more likely that technical specialists will evaluate it and buy tokens.I'm 100% sure of that

Yeah, in most cases anonymous team is not a very good sign, that's true. I would say in 9/10 cases it's a signal for you to pass this opportunity and walk by Smiley
The thing is that it's much easier to make a scam, collect money and disappear when nobody knows who you are. And team information absence should make you think twice before investing in such project. But of course there some cases when things are different - it depends on the idea of the coin I think.

I can see that the ICO you've mentioned is a total SCAM, their website isn't working anymore.
Also, i would never trust a project with an anonymous team only in some cases when the project provided is totally amazing, i would look at the code and look at the site design, their roadmap and i would appreciate if they are launching a bounty and having a great spreadsheet.Honestly, when you see a project team putting alot of love and hardwork, i can't say that they are SCAM but i must be aware.
Don't even think about investing your own cash, invest what you can afford to lose and stay safe, always put stop loss orders and stay up-to-date with the graphs.

I always wonder why the heck I should invest my money in some shitty project that doesn't even have the face in the form of legit team, CEO and so on. It worked only during the bull run at the end of 2017, where even the most crappy project could bring many x-s. It was no more than just a nonsense.

Every day it becomes more and more difficult to find an interesting project. Our project search methods are streamlined. Let's say if fraudsters take pictures of living people, give fake names, we still won’t be able to determine if this is a real team.

Cryptocurrency is developing and scammers too. So be careful not to fall into the hands of fraudsters.
I very much hope that in the near future we send the governing bodies of ico companies. This should drastically reduce the number of scammers and bad projects. conditions should be more stringent to create an ico company.

I am wary of ICO that hide identities in their team and at the same time require all investors to pass the KYC.

A team appearing anonymous raises a lot of red flags in a project. Think of it, why will a legitimate project want to flag an ICO anonymously of their intentions are pure? We all know the number of scams that have clouded this industry of late, trusting an anonymous person or people with your investments comes across as naivety. They could just disappear into thin air with your investments and what happens then? I think due diligence has to be done on a project before finally deciding to trust such a project with any investment no matter how little such an investment may be.

anonymous team indeed risky if to follow. but that does not mean this is an indication of a scam that should be avoided. There is even a good team ICO sort it and proved it could generate. However from at risk too and are afraid to meet a scam then it is better to look for the ICO with the team that it is definitely only for better results.
yes, when an ICO has an invisible team, sometimes it's easier to scam. well, sometimes, the strength of an ICO is the value of the team they have. if they keep the team they have a secret, it is possible that the ICO can become a scam.
Even if they have a reliable team but if they can't even come with something new and that can be considered as another scam too. In fact that even the plagiarism platform can be included on the scam project too because they are creating nothing.

It seems that there is too much risk to be taken, I suggest not to take part in the ICO with an anonymous team because if we look at reality, many teams that are not anonymous commit fraud, what if the team is Anonymous? then that makes us have to be more careful.

maybe can be to scam project, i see few project with anonymous/not showing the team and ended with scam project, that's why showing the team project is needed for build ico campaign and make investor trusting the project and investing the money
When viewed from a basic point of view, it turns out that the team is simply afraid to show their faces, because they are afraid of regulators who may appear, but most importantly. That today it has become permanent.

In my opinion, an anonymous ICO team is very risky because everyone conducts ICO research based on the ICO Team. So far, I have never participated in an ICO that does not have a known Team identity. And what I do know is that the ICO carried out by the Anonymous Team is a fraud project.

I will consider them one because their escape route is much easier, they can leave the project anytime and people will just wonder who are they will after with, anonymity only applies to airdrops and promoting a coin that is already in the market and those who are not launching an ICO.

Yes we know transparent team will help project in terms of trust, but many project even the team transparent cant help the project.
About anonymous team that is very suspicious, but not all anonymous team is suspicious or scam. i already join in proyek with anony team and succes..
So i think not about anony team but about seriousness of team

Not all. Because they still some ICO that are good to invest even anonymous. But mostly the investor want to invest to the ICO have real Identity so it can report it once they scam people because if the anonymous ICo turn to scam there is no chance to report it.

When choosing ICOs who have high-quality values, to be able to attract the attention and enthusiasm of the community, they will provide clear information about their profile. So it is better for some ICOs that do not provide detailed information, including information from the development team, to avoid it. The potential for the scam will be even higher, and it makes it difficult for you to know the future prospects of the ICO itself.

When deciphering between legit and scam ICO's, one of the main things everyone says is "you have a look at the team and see if they're transparent."

The thing is, the whole ideology behind decentralization is that it gives the public control over the economy's trajectory, rather than centralized and specific entities.

I see the Virternity Project, for example (https://virternity.com/), which prefers anonymity, but I'm not sure it means it's a scam ICO.

from their FAQ:

"Why aren't you revealing who is in your team?"

"The members of our team are enthusiastic about the idea of creating the Virternity space for the whole world. We want to avoid “buy-outs” of our specialists and co-workers, and also avoid pressure on them.

Also, given the limited financing at the initial stage, we are using anonymity as a shield for our technological secrets—the specifics of our current and future developments.

Many members of our team have serious jobs in major firms and do not want to advertise their participation in a non-commercial project, in order to avoid conflicts of interest.

In the future, once these factors are less of an issue, we plan to publicly name the founders and key personnel."

Satoshi remains anonymous..

Thoughts?
It won't automatically be a scam because some projects are just new in the market so it is sometimes normal to be not that recognized by the majority. But there would be a high tendency that it will ( but will not always be) be a scam. Still, always check for the project's bwckground to gather some informations because credibility is an important thing to avoid profit loss.

I will not invest in a project that the development team is anonymous. Too much risk when cultivating into such a project. Such projects do not win the trust of investors so it is difficult to succeed, worse you may lose all your money.
There is always some reason behind anonimity of a project developer and he reason that you mentioned is supposedly one of that. I  too wont trust anonymois developers, if they want trust they need to trust people first.
