If bitcoin is myspace, bitcoin cash is facebook

Even Facebook has no downtime.

Neither does Bitcoin. Maybe it has network congestion, full blocks... so what? It's had virtually perpetual uptime since inception. Given that, and all the scaling optimizations Core has made over the years, and that BTC is clearly a victim of its own success (with the supposed capacity issues), I'd say that Bitcoin has performed beautifully.

If Bitcoin = Myspace, we are still far from its decline. Bitcoin's network and economy are still far bigger than any other.

Scaling and capacity issues are being solved by Segwit+LN.
I was meaning that BCH have some kind of "downtimes" due to the mining game with the EDA.

I agree that capacity issues will hopefully be solved by LN, but that is up in the air. We have only seem preliminary testing. Routing is a very complex issue, but I am hopeful.

Since there is so little transaction activity on BCH's network, the low hash rate periods are not really "downtime." It's like other altcoins, which appear to solve scalability issues simply because nobody uses them.

I've heard varying opinions on this but if this does happen when do you think we may see a 'flippening' occur?

November, when the second hard fork happens? Boy will that destabalise things, because the miners will then have three chains to choose from and the hashing power will be moving wildly from one to another. The chain that is most stable at that time wins.

This is quite a good impression on how bitcoin and bitcoin cash would go a few years from now and funny too, how could you compare bitcoin to myspace and bitcoin cash to facebook when bitcoin cash is a copy of bitcoin. The owner of myspace decided to give up and sell the network and I don't think Satoshi Nakamoto would give up on bitcoin because it is basically progressing and it's a work of art if I must say. Look at it's progress from 2009 until now.

Presale is live!
No, definitely no. Bitcoin was never really outdated similar to Myspace. Their devs always cared for bitcoin to follow market's needs on the most safe ways. I also think that bitcoin cash won't die, it will be good.
But I don't think cash is gonna replace bitcoin. %0.

Then we can say that both will die in 10 years? Your opinion would be true or false but that is not a good comparison. A lot of people still continue to use bitcoin (myspace)...

Yes, I kinda agree with this article. The original Bitcoin is outdated compare to the latest version called Bitcoin Cash. Cool

It's more like Bitcoin in Facebook and Bitcoin Cash is google +, a shitty copy service that nobody will use because it's just a clunky cheap copy of the real deal, pushed aggressively by a few morons who have too much money.

Yes very much so, except that facebook is facebook and without the name it wouldn't be here now, just like Bitcoin cash is not Bitcoin, you think

Adding a cash means anything? what you did splitting the blockchain of Bitcoin added more value to it not to BCH, now people are buying Bitcoin

In hopes of another split to increase their profits, you just keep supporting your alt so the big investors see if there will be another split some people

Are willing to pay for the new altcoin.

Those who know anything about programming and coding, and are able to distinguish professional intelligent entrepreneurs from useless copy/paste wannabe programmers and scammers, would probably more see the comparison as:

Bitcoin (real) = Google

BitcoinCash = Enron

The inventor behind the genius idea could best be compared to:

Bitcoin = Albert Einstein

BitcoinCash = Bernie Madoff

Should we do more comparisons? BitcoinABC/Cash has given the Cryptoscene a whole new type of comedy with endless MEME possibilities  Grin

Just look how ridiculous it is... we have segwit activated, but it will be the same as it is with Litecoin... almost no one will use it, because people (users) will have to send all their BTC to a new address starting with a prefix 3.

In November we have the segwit2x hard fork that Core doesn't agree with, but miners don't care about kids in Blockstream team and might just push the segwit2x.

And the question is: why would they support untested segwit2x software (BTC1) with segwit, when they have tested and fully operational Bitcoin Cash with larger blocks and most importantly... without segwit? Which proved itself that is FAST and TXs are 400 times lower, they even enabled sending transaction with zero fees now.

China wins, not clowns here on the forum whose only knowledge about blockchain is Bitcoin and call OMG shit altcoin that will be dumped.

BitcoinTalk is mainly a forum of posers and clowns (people not knowledgeable) of blockchain technology.

An unfortunately for you, you have just joined the bolded part and there is also no other platform for you to express your opinion to a larger population other than that one you have decided to castigate. You have made your point and it shows the side of the coin you belong to but that does not deter people of change their opinion about the situation of things and if you want that to change, you will have to try harder.

bch is just an imposter led by greedy miners. Will never amount to anything. Bitcoin should switch to pos and put them out of business.

It’s a very interesting parallel. In this way we can also compare yahoo (BCH) and google (BTC) or the same for IBM and Apple.
