As much as I want to believe in bitcoin and think it is undervalued like crazy right now. I don't expect that $1 million for 1 BTC, is price achievable during our lifetime.
Why? Because:

1. We don't have market which will be able to sustain this kind of price influx.
2. People will crash the market before it will reach any significant value.
3. This kind of over the top price won't be backed by real properties of blockchain.

Very good valid point. Just want to ask how can you be so sure that blockchain is the only thing that will hold most of the funds, we don't know one day there is new things that are coming.

retire, buy a boat, travel the world, meet nice women, invest in local businesses, and be the king of my area.
oh wow i think that you must have a lot of bitcoins then right now, in my opinion the price of the bitcoin will not earn that much money, though i hope that it will happen and i will be able to buy a house

If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do?

I personally would sell maybe 0.00001 BTC (about $10 if I'm not mistaken).

i will most probably start to cry because despite the fact that i am saying i will hold my bitcoin but i will sell my coins if it rises up to $3000-$4000 and i wouldn't have any more to sell at 1 million dollars so i would be screwed in that case and will start crying Smiley

Id sell them all and retire with over 20m in usd. That is enough money for me and my family to live forever.
I think it will not happen. it is the price that is unlikely to happen in bitcoin. if you want to be rich or want to live comfortably.
you have to work hard dude

I think people should talk logical things and what is realistic too, $1m is simply impossible, and he wants to sell his coins when it will reach to $20m, and that is really stupid.

At the moment I am not even considering it, since it's just a fairy tale. Bitcoin potential is there, there is no doubt about that, but you have to be realistic.
This figure is far from realistic. I see it rising, but not to the sky, although some (me included) would fee 5k is the sky for bitcoin.

If price reaches that high in future then I think everyone will prefer to sell their coins, as it won't go beyond that price and if some prefer to hold even at that price then that is an stupidity.

If the price goes $1m this year im sure all people or all bitcoin will sell their bitcoin instead of holding because they already achieve their goal because 1m is not a small amount of money you will be a millionaire..

You can be multi billionaire if you are holding high number of coins, but the fact is we will never see that high price in future as it is out of the reach of bitcoin.

if the price of bitcoin increased to $ 1M, I guess all the bitcoiners dreams will come true. home, car, motorcycle, business, everything will go smoothly, and perhaps the most bitcoin holders only live to enjoy his life alone. Imagine if you have 1000 BTC in your wallet, it could make a leisurely life
There would definitely be a lot of people selling once Bitcoin hits $1m, and that would more than likely be a large majority of the community that's here right now. They would be able to live in relative comfort, assuming they don't spend too much, and would more than likely be able to retire a few years sooner than their peers, if they choose to do so.

1000 BTC would make you a billionaire, so you might as well get ready to pay your taxes.

Its a big dream but i think it will never happen but there's no bad to dream it.. so i think if the price will hit in that price i will convert all my bitcoins and withdraw it to start buy house and lot..  and start my own business..

Dreaming is good but dreams should also be an realistic, and if it reaches to that value in future then I will sell all my coins and will prefer to retire from the work and enjoy the life.

I would continue to HODL most of it.

I would use Bitcoins to purchase computer parts and make a new computer. This current computer does not have much more life in it.
Better buy something that will give new a long-term profit and invesment because holding it for that will be not a good thing since you barely see a dump and pump on the coin's price.
While I do recommend the diversification of his portfolio, I think that there wouldn't necessarily be a dump coming if Bitcoin hit $1m dollars, but it all depends on what's happening with the market. I would think that Bitcoin hitting $1m would require some massive investment from large investors and maybe countries if they start to get involved, in maybe a decade or something. There would still have to be a far halvings to get the value up higher for the world to take notice.

It will be great to see that higher price of bitcoin in future, but to be honest I don't think that price is ever achievable and it would be waste of time if you are holding your coins to sell at that price.
