BTC in this moment has an huge impact on the community and the entire world because it has a value, what would happen if the price of BTC will drop to 0 and stay at 0 forever? how many would abandon the ship? 95% of the people i would say because there is no gain or value anymore, in this case, BTC will go back to the starting point where, only the people interested in the blockchain, the technology behind and the project Satoshi has created.
At this point, there will be someone who will find a different use of the blockchain and the story will repeat itself with a different name, different purpose but the core technology is here to stay.
Banning? will not happen, think about torrent, p2p and so on, they are keep trying to ban/block it but it doesn't work, it just doesn't due to the nature of the protocol: decentralization, there is no head quarter to shut down.. if you want to shut it down completely you have to close internet, easy as that!

I seem to agree with you on one count which is about the utility aspect. As long as our community can work on bringing in more products convenient for end user, btc should go on for a long time to come.

what do you mean stops? is it people stopping from using bitcoin and abandon bitcoin while the price is in higher price like now? I don't think so, I don't think that people will stop from using bitcoin and leave bitcoin alone because bitcoin is mean for us and we are still wanted to use bitcoin for any purposes. But if bitcoin stops, then like I said before, people will leave their bitcoin without any plan to using bitcoin again and they will ignore bitcoin because bitcoin doesn't have any value anymore.

I don't think anyone is capable to stop bitcoin.Bitcoin is p2p just like torrent,email etc.No one can stop torrent,email.Similarly no one can stop bitcoin.If they want to stop bitcoin they have to really turn off all the computers running full node of bitcoin blockchain and that is impossible task to do.If by stop you mean bitcoin price falls down and people lose their investment then that is not going to happen.Bitcoin price may fall a bit due to correction but only weak hands will lose their money and long term hodlers don't have to worry because they hodl bitcoins for long and in long term bitcoin price always rise.

Indonesia is putting complete ban on bitcoin from 1st November. China has already banned and decided to regulate bitcoins functions. Its hard to accept if they happen so many people cried if bitcoin has stop. If bitcoin stop our dream to become successful will fall down. Its so hard if they happen to us.

No one can support it, only the government can support it if they legalize it, if not one day it will surely stop if all country government declare it as illegal to use it.
And in order that the government took it they need something to keep track of translations for report in the tax. Otherwise, all the officials will start to convert bitcoins and the level of corruption will grow significantly

Let me crack some sense into you: Bitcoin cannot stop? The market forces determine on what should be the state of it. Bitcoin is basically governed by the code and market forces similar to the laissez-faire system wherein the people are the ones who create the demand, the people are the ones who create supply and set the prices, basically a peer to peer system with Jo government control involved whatsoever.

Hi there ProphetDaniel! I hope you are not the prophet of death. First of all I clearly read the word “IF” which you mean even in unimaginable circumstance happened. What could definitely stop bitcoin is the global ban of cryptocurrency and whole blockchain network went down or froze. All those scenario could happen and even the internet could be stop from upstreaming and down streaming when the electricity of all the world turns down. Which is also unlikely to happen aside from an asteroid from hit the earth and a global wipe out. Anyway, I cant just imagine how that will happened.

I think it is really impossible to be happen. But in case that bitcoin will stop then a lot of people will be affected because many of us is now dependent since they make bitcoin as one of their source of income and I am one of them. So I always work hard to earn bitcoin and I am wishing that it wouldn't be possible.
I don't think bitcoin will stop, so difficult to happen because bitcoin is decentralization, impossible for bitcoin users to stop use, earn or mining bitcoin simultaneously.. don't worry about it, bitcoin will survive for a long time..
