a ponzi is a scam bitcoin is not a ponzi, it really is something new and unique, weather or not it is the leading crypto currency in 10 years is debatable ......

Just my personal opinion on the matter..
I mean people still like to compare BTC to a ponzi -- well some of the bigger ponzis I've seen make it around 5 years before they start to fall or bust completely.
I'd think after year 10 it would be time to throw a huge party.
Comparing bitcoin with ponzi is completely wrong. I think bitcoin is virtual reward currency with self sustaining blockchain technology. As bitcoin is being adapted by several merchants we can call it global virtual currency. I mean people still like to compare BTC to a ponzi -- well some of the bigger ponzis I've seen make it around 5 years before they start to fall or bust completely.
I'd think after year 10 it would be time to throw a huge party.
Have a nice ring in it. "Global Virtual Currency" i love that. That could be awesome. From my experiences I have profited from bitcoin and used it as my emergency cash. Yes i have used it so many times without spending something. For those who wants side jobs earning thru bitcoin is better

No one will be able to call it a ponzi scheme anymore. They won't be able to call it a passing fad.

Exactly, and that would answer all the critics who have pointed fingers on bitcoins everytime, it would be answer to press and media who always spread the negative news related to bitcoins, 10 year celebration would answer them all and the best thing would be that they will get their answers not by exchange of words but only by the standing tall position of bitcoins

If Bitcoin was a Ponzi, it would have been the most successful one out there. Just imagine that, a Ponzi with $1 Billion VC investment and used as a currency and accepted by more than 250 000 merchants world wide. The Ponzi has also been so successful that mayor banks are trying to copy it.

Why? How? and What? not When?
Those are the real question that needed to prove that bitcoin made it. It is just bad from the past but it is getting better now. And I think Bitcoin will achieve more good things and those bad sides will be put in a sealed box forever.

Well BTCitcoin was never a ponzi so it won't happen any time soon or rather never ever in a million years ...it's been 7 years and day after day it gets improvement of some sort... The thing is putting years into basis of something that has made is not right, but putting the basis on how it works should be the right thing to do and how has affected the world so far so in that matter it has been long time that "made it"

I never think that Bitcoin is ponzi. I am also not sure why others think Bitcoin is ponzi. Hopefully their views will be changed by 2020.

Maybe even fiat is one. I don't think any ponzi has survived for so long though. + a Ponzi can lost forever epending on the scheme. Bit coin clearly isn't one, and people who think so should consider all the factors.

I think it already has made it. It opened the possibility of a social/financial movement without a central authority. Bitcoin may fail, but the cat is out of the bag.

For BTC to have value of $300+ of course btc had already made it and with community so active every day, I wont be surprise if one day if more and more online shops will accept btc in the future.

wel bitcoin is not a ponzi, but if your rebuttle to those that claim it is, is to tell them to wait it out for 2019.. thats not really discrediting their lack of knowledge.
inform them that if they think its a ponzi. then gold is too..
after all if your gonna play the wait it out argument. they can easily win the argument with a few examples

It will definitely make it to 10 years. Thing is, if it is a ponzi, at the most the price would fall to a dollar or so, but again even then it won't die off. No matter what the price, it will continue to live.

Those people are irrelevant as BTC is clearly not a ponzi.
Whether BTC will gain mainstream adoption is another story entirely.

If bitcoin is a ponzi, it would have disappeared when the price dropped from $1200. And the price will never recover. Bitcoin is going stronger and stronger day after day.
