Facebook having its own crypto is very unlikely. Their platform is free, when they integrate cryptocurrencies to it, it automatically becomes monetized--which is bad since their selling point is many people joining it.

FB temporarily prohibits bitcoin advertising, because there are many fake ICOs that are intended for fraud, so FB needs to discipline it first,
the steps taken are actually to protect the integrity of the advertising platform ... not to be affected by the very bad effects of fraudulent practices.

since facebook is the mainstream social networking site, well maybe in my country, it would really boost the trust factor and popularity of crypto, i think facebook has already been doing that eversince crypto was gaining popularity way back a couple years ago, then they banned it and now they are trying to put it back again, well, i guess facebook saw an opportunity now that crypto are booming, as they say, good or bad publicity is still a publicity, they have an agenda as to why they are returning to crypto ads.

Top Crypto Casino
I heard about that news months ago, but I don't think it is grue (we should not believe all we hear).
Facebook allready started banning ads related to cryptocurrencies which proves that Mark and his company do not believe in it.
But as any other big IT company, it will try to adopt the blockchain technology.

I think it will bring positive result, many people will know about crypto, but we don't know whether the ads is going to make people invest on it or not, Facebook is a great place to advertise crypto, so I believe this is another good news, although the one that being promoted is alt coin, but if its a good project bitcoin could be affected

I've read that Facebook is going to have its cryptocurrency https://cryptobriefing.com/ready-for-facebook-coin/
Since Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg as an entity is highly influential, do you think it would bring crypto in a positive light? I am thinking that it may raise awareness of cryptocurrency as a whole and not just bitcoin.
First off, it's not even confirmed if Facebook is actually planning to have its crypto. Facebook doesn't need a crypto for its platform, so it's weird if they actually go ahead and have their own cryptocurrency.

Now, even if they do, it's not going to affect a lot. It's very subjective actually. If the coin is used for a popular means, then who knows, more people will buy or use crypto. Otherwise the affect is gonna be negligible.

This can not be said to be okay or will motivate it to grow back. Facebook has banned and stopped supporting ads related to Bitcoin and ICOs but I still see them appearing on my Newsfeed so this I think it will not be able to promote it again if the ban removed.

They could have their own cryptocurrency and it would still have a positive effect on bitcoin and all the other cryptocurrencies. Facebook creates influencers. Facebook as a whole is very influential.
You are right facebook is the most used social media now a day, I think if we will use it to make bitcoin spread worldwide I am sure it will be an effect resource for us, it will be famous because rich, poor, people of any religion, positive negative good bad, all kind of people use facebook, so they will get attract and will share it further so for me facebook is best place to promote our bitcoin, it will affect the value of bitcoin positively.

some of us have used Facebook as a means of promoting ico and other projects
although for now Facebook hasn't really entered the crypto world because it hasn't made clear rules about crypto that match the business platform they want

There will be a time that Facebook will adopt the cryptocurrency.
There will also a time that FB will have their own alternative coin.
There is no reason why they will not do that, it will be a big move for them to have that.
investors will surely come, i am seeing a sold-out ICO.

Yes, I see that Facebook can positively promote crypto, and negatively as well. We all know for a fact that social media is a very powerful tool to build and to destroy something or someone. With just few clicks, everybody around the globe would know about who or what you are advertising, promoting, criticizing, etc. This positive promotions of Facebook for crypto is evident in the amount of funds raised during an ICO. If not, then there wouldn't be Facebook campaign in bounties. And to add the fact that Zuckenberg is also a very influential person in this era. His recent remarks and position on crypto will definitely have a significant impact in the crypto world.
There is no doubt that if Facebook launch their own cryptocurrency it will hold the first position in the crypto market because people will know the introducer while in the case of other cryptos we would never know the creator of a coin. People will feel no hesitation while investing in Facebook currency. I am waiting for that, and will definitely invest in it.

Maybe they do everything to achieve a positive effect for their own coin because of their patience but in my openion it is not for the crypto market as an intact.
I thought they would all do anything near them after all the restrictions and slideshare on a blockchain they did. But these statements only mean "according to those who are in it.
Apparently, if Facebook can come up with their own coin, it is definite to see a promotion from that angle and that certainly shows how companies and organizations are beginning to see the advantage and importance that the blockchain technology brings to them. I really would not expect Facebook to just wake up one single morning and be putting up their promotion for cryptocurrency, but at least, with what I said, it should be a good start.

Social media may be a very powerful tool for promotion, but certainly Facebook Inc. itself will not just start declaring their interest for cryptocurrencies just like that, unless probably they come up with their own cryptocurrency and then projecting the usage out there and the benefit it brings to the users, and in that way, I believe that should still somehow create some awareness for it in the long run and probably make it more like still promoting the crypto space anyway.

This is a very cool marketing move.If it really is so, then cryptocurrencies will start to use everything within 1-2 years. If Facebook will join Twitter and Instagram then cryptocurrency will be used in a week 50% of the inhabitants of the planet Earth)

Yes Facebook promote about bitcoin bitcoin, many positive news come about bitcoin through Facebook. Nowadays so many people know about crypto means it's all happens through social media. Facebook has so many users so they can easily promote about crypto and it would it reach people effectively. Facebook is the best media to promote crypto, it's just like advertising. Before introduced new things they just put it on Facebook and gets their results whether it is positively approached to people or not.

Although social networks are distributors of mass information about bitcoin I think this is not so important information. So practically knows all the population of our planet !

It looks like you can not avoid this phenomenon if you are online. From Facebook to Twitter, from LinkedIn to articles in many magazines, Bitcoin is all the rage! But they still want to exploit it as a valuable asset even Facebook

It might cause a threat for them in the way that people might learn cryptos then perceive the existence of Bitcoin first then at that point, people might change their minds in choosing Bitcoin over their provided cryptocurrency. I never thought of buying Facebook stock once, so seeing this as their way of promoting cryptos indirectly in my own point of view might cause a bit of disadvantage for them.

Would it ? Are you crazy, I know facebook might be getting not so much popularity among young people but think about it they have both channels capturing every single detail about every single person. They can focus on young people on instagram and try to capture their attention and bring them to bitcoin plus they can use facebook to promote to elderly and promote it for them.

I am not talking about just advertising, this company knows every single detail about you, there is no way they can't create a customer out of you, if they want to focus they can find millions of customers in just days with just those two platforms.
