If as you say, people stopped buying bitcoins, this will be a hard time for the cryptocurrency even though we know bitcoin is capped, because no buying means no more profit. However, if bitcoin itself had reached its maximum cap limit and there is still circulation going on I don't think there will be a problem with that.

At first I want to say that it is almost impossible to recent future because bitcoins popularity is growing higher and higher day by day. Everyday new peoples are knowing about it and being interested on it. Some days ago bitcoins price gone high but people have bought bitcoin at that time also.
But if it occurs then we should take some time because it will never be priceless. Day by day the us of bitcoin is increasing so don’t take any tension. This assumption is from the category of those, that will happen with bitcoin, if they disconnect the Internet. This will never happen, because everyone wants to make good money, and bitcoin gives this opportunity to everyone.

If people would stop buying bitcoin maybe generating new bitcoin would be in stuck I mean bitcoin would stuck, it would simply means that bitcoin would regain again its value little by little. Basically if everyone on earth stopped mining, then 1 person could be the only miner and it would be very easy to mine. The system works itself out naturally. There is no need to fear about miners stopping.

If people will stop to buy bitcoin for sure bitcoin will going to be no value in the future, because all of us will sell their bitcoin slowly or maybe sell it immediately until bitcoin will lose it's value because no one will value bitcoin anymore.
Laws of economy, if demand is zero then price will go to zero, nobody needs to be super smart to know that. This will not happen to bitcoin in some near future, I am open for new things and maybe some alt can outshine bitcoin one day, bit that will not happen this or next ten years.
Last year popularity of bitcoin was enormously high, because of that transactions were slow and fees were high, I wrote about that here and I said bitcoin progress will be slowed down because of all that. Now we are waiting for that lighting network and then bitcash and other cash coins will stay far behind bitcoin.

The price must be dump at the point that one person was satisfied to buy. The person who hold must sell it even at low price because he need or atleast he get money than waste. Actually the demand get lost and we do forget bitcoin but actually it is too hard to happen because everyday more people learn about this and bitcoin knowledge cannot remove from your memory because bitcoin knowledge cannot die cause it multiply.
We have a different personality and perspective in life, once it pump too much, one person who invest on it so when the price pumps, he/she can get an easy money.
