Recent developments have brought some form of uncertainties regarding the future of Bitcoin. Consequently,
several posts have been raised to that effect, yet they are left with no clear answers. If we were to go back to the roots, Satoshi himself would have been in the position to answer some of the key questions such as:
I would have loved to ask Satoshi how long he really expects and predicts bitcoin the future we all talk about and expect for bitcoins to come? because is fourteen years old now and it is not looking like acceptance by people and them starting to use it daily is going to happen next year. The more you search, the more you see that many people still do not know what bitcoin is.

Another interesting question for Satoshi would be what did he (assuming it is him) stand to gain from creation of bitcoins? Is he some kind of messiah that did it for humanity? without anything to gain?

Just thank you is enough. I don't have to throw him some questions that I think even him is not sure of his answer as he can't predict totally what's the future of bitcoin. The problem with some people here in the forum is that they really believe that Satoshi is really in control about the volatile market and the future status and performance of bitcoin. Satoshi is just an ordinary man but with brilliant ideas that made him to invent about bitcoin, but it does not mean that he can exactly tell what the future holds for bitcoin.

However, we have different stands about Satoshi. But as for me, Satoshi has his own reason why he needs to be anonymous. Otherwise, he might be putting himself in danger while claiming the spotlight he deserves.

1. The fate of Bitcoin as regards to high fees when the block reward gets to zero

2. If He envisaged things like Ordinals being launched on the Bitcoin Network.

3. If he actually projected mainstream adoption of Bitcoin in term of the features of Bitcoin such as speed, security, accessibility as cost effectiveness, base on present realities.

Every question we might have had in mind or that will cross our mind about bitcoin does not need to get to Satoshi before they can be answered. He has either provide solutions to that or left it as something of uncertainty which himself cannot tell what it’s going to be in the future. If Satoshi does not know or can ascertain what bitcoin transaction volume could be in the next twenty years when he went in exile, this signifies how unpredictable this market is going to be for many years to come. So even if he’s here today, his answers can just simply base on predictions too and no accurate answers to your questions.

Satoshi will never come or maybe he is already dead.  His fee is never possible. and the biggest thing is that if the real Satoshi comes and reveals himself now and says that I am Satoshi, no one will believe it. Because how do you verify that he is really Satoshi Nakamata? But if he ever comes back to it, the only question I would ask him is how did he get the idea to create Bitcoin?  And why he kept himself completely secret after making it.  And what was his main purpose of creating Bitcoin that he had to remain anonymous?

Making himself anonymous is one of the greatest thing to have happened in making bitcoin alive till today. Don’t you think how the government authorities would have clamped him down if he had revealed himself for building a technology that will compete with their financials? No need to ask that question because it is obvious that he remains anonymous and I don’t think he will ever come out openly to show himself, and if need be for that, it will at a point where nothing can affect bitcoin again when he’s publicly known and his life won’t be at the verge of danger.

Satoshi is responsible of his own invention but I don't think he can answer your questions clearly as none us even Satoshi can rightly predict what's in store for bitcoin in the future. We are dealing with an unpredictable market here so even Satoshi has no in control about it. But one thing is certain, I just want to acknowledge the brilliant idea of Satoshi, as without bitcoin, we can never experience the success brought about by bitcoin.

Although I have lots of questions in my mind, but I guess Satoshi deserves more appreciation and big thank you than trying to interrogate him about the future of bitcoin.

The ability to have full control over our funds could be no other reason but the best reason why Satoshi would ever have made this project. As we all today could testify by our present experience to Bitcoin

And why he kept himself completely secret after making it.
Satoshi's disappearance, to me, was indeed the best decision ever made for the growth and development of Bitcoin to what it is today, because who knows if only had he revealed himself, if Bitcoin would ever have gotten the value it has today, as his project would strongly had been fought against by both government and Central banks for creating Bitcoin which made people chose it as the best choice for long-term investment instead of saving money in our traditional bank.

And what was his main purpose of creating Bitcoin that he had to remain anonymous?
For privacy of transactions. I don't think there could be any better reason than this.

Bitcoin in Niger State💯
There is nothing to ask Satoshi that you can not ask the community over here. Due to the nature of the decentralized digital currencies, and the open source system, Bitcoin has become a people-driven currency where each and every one of us have a stake in the future of the Bitcoin market.

The lifespan of Bitcoin is dependent on the users, which I don't think will end any moment from now. Realize that the user base has been increasing over time and not decreasing. So the future of Bitcoin will strongly rely on the Bitcoin holding wallet owners and the traders. Over 200 million people use Bitcoin today, actively I think.

Now, in all of this, you don't have to see Satoshi to ask those questions about the future of Bitcoin as all you need to do about your questions is to put them out on this forum for answers and solutions or better still take them to Google search.

Satoshi has predicted the future of bitcoin according to his version:
Bitcoins have no dividend or potential future dividend, therefore not like a stock.

More like a collectible or commodity.

Regarding OP's points, these aren't questions that Satoshi must answer, but challenges that the next developers must answer. Maybe in the future tx fees will be crazier than this, but network upgrades won't be interrupted. Moreover, this situation is relevant to the prediction above, I mean "if you're not afford to move your bitcoins because of tx fees, just make them collectibles".

Satoshi has played his own part in bitcoin creation and I don't think that he can predict the future of bitcoin and the adoption rate in the nearest future. The ordinals attack is something that has been a pain on the ass anytime that it is used on the blockchain. But one thing that I know is that soon all those garbage will be gone and we can enjoy our transaction with low fee as usual.

If I meet Satoshi in person, I will appreciate what he did by creating bitcoin which has now become one of the most valuable asset that even the poor and the rich can have a fraction of it. It is only the government that are against it because bitcoin is the opposite of fiat, which looks like a challenge to their fiat currency.

I am sure that satoshi nakamoto did not expect mainstream adoption of bitcoin. Otherwise he would have kept an option to increase the block size.

Also if I can go back to Mr. Nakamoto, I would ask how can we stop this ordinals madness. These are really causing great pain to the regular Bitcoin users and it needs to stop asap.

In my opinion, I honestly do not think even Satoshi anticipated any of these points or rather questions that you have raised here. we need to understand that this technology is still evolving and new challenges will be encountered.

That been said, I think you can find what Satoshi anticipated in his white paper,
And like someone rightly said, at the moment, Bitcoin is now way bigger than Satoshi and I don't think only Satoshi has the answers to these questions anymore.

High fees are one of the problems that have been talked about a lot and many solutions have been proposed. Every time we notice that you can send a transaction and confirm it with one satoshi per Vbyte, the high fees are a temporary problem and not a permanent one.
When Bitcoin has value, every byte added to the block is valuable, and I do not think that projects related to Ordinals will add more continuous spam to the network. What would Satoshi change here? If Bitcoin is centralized, then his idea has failed. If it is not centralized, then Satoshi’s role is no longer influential, and even if he expresses an opinion, his opinion will not differ from the opinion if the network were decentralized.

With all due respect, the Bitcoin project is now bigger than Satoshi. Every day the Bitcoin industry is facing new threats and opportunities due to the everchanging political, economic, and social global systems. The currency has become very influential, complex, and dynamic for Satoshi to control or predict. I believe that he would have the same answers as some of the reputable members of the forum. Satoshi might not have envisaged that issues like ordinals would be a challenge because these are new threats. The future will still come with more issues that will test the strength of Bitcoin. I don't think I have any questions, if there are any, the forum is enough to answer them.

Sure, he's survived as an idea, a symbol, but diving into hypotheticals about his opinions isnt just unproductive, its practically irrelevant. Satoshi had a revolutionary but not omniscient vision. Addressing your points: Zero-block reward scenario? Concern is valid, yet it. Higher transaction costs or a new consensus mechanism could change the network. Bitcoin's adaptability is its functionality.

Bitcoin Network Ordinals? Open-ended, Satoshi's vision guided financial evolution. Ordinals, NFTs, and other innovations are the community pushing the limits. Doesnt that define decentralization? Mass adoption? That's a complicated question. Speed, security, accessibility, cost-effectiveness - these arent just features; they're moving targets. Satoshi started it, but users, developers, and enthusiasts must continue.

I have nothing to ask to the person/s who created Bitcoin.
Because every piece of information regarding Bitcoin was published publicly. If you need an answer to your question/s, just use the internet or find any related topics in this forum, then read.
Exactly! If they want to know more about Bitcoin, there's a lot of references in the internet where they can find more information about it. There's no need to ask Satoshi just because He is the developer of bitcoin, I'll just thank him as an appreciation of developing this coin, but I don't think Satoshi knows what will going to happen to Bitcoin in the future.

I will thank him for making bitcoin to come to lamligh. And how his has made people's dream came into reality. If I would ask him what to improve, I think should be its scalability.
I don't know much about bitcoin but I think scalability problem should be tackled. As days pass numerous transaction on bitcoin has grown and causes bitcoin transaction to be slowee Dan expected. I think it should be upgraded. Iike I said I don't know much but that's what I think.

To be honest with you, i will ask him nothing than to say thank you for developing bitcoin for us to have and this is all i could do in appreciation, then i will also encourage as many that would be interested in bitcoin to get every necessary help required for them to use bitcoin, Satoshi has made available for us what we needed, it's left for us to show how appreciable we could be towards bitcoin adoption, if you're talking about the transaction fee, is Satoshi the one being responsible for the collection or miners, other little challenges could be dealt with within the bitcoin communities among the developers.

Interestingly enough many of the questions you have in mind have already been asked and they are usually answered by Satoshi in early days. For example the Ordinals Spam Attack is a concern that was raised in a different form. People were trying to store DNS information inside bitcoin (that is pretty much the same as Ordinals attack which is using bitcoin as cloud storage) and Satoshi said along the lines of "not everything needs to be done by Bitcoin". Which is why that idea migrated to its own project called Namecoin.
Which is pretty much where we are now, if anyone wanted to create NFTs they should use a platform that actually has that option instead of using Bitcoin that does NOT and end up only spamming the chain with garbage.

3. If he actually projected mainstream adoption of Bitcoin in term of the features of Bitcoin such as speed, security, accessibility as cost effectiveness, base on present realities.
I don't think that kind of prediction has ever been possible. Even now we can not project the adoption in the near future. If you look at Satoshi's prediction he left it WIDE OPEN when he said "in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume at all". Tongue

Satoshi is not a prophet, this person can't predict the future of Bitcoin. So Satoshi would not be able to provide input on the matter of transaction fees, and as for the next two questions, I'm not sure if they matter. I mean, Satoshi could say yes or no, but what would that change?
If Satoshi were here, I wouldn't ask anything. I'd just thank that person for creating Bitcoin and ensuring that a community of those who care about it would continue discussing it and working on its development.
