I believe in the evolutive nature of the human kind. As we advance through generations we become smarter and smarter, thus adopting a superior method of payment aka cryptocurrencies becomes a logical step forward. The effects crypto have on pretty much all industries is massive, especially on the financial industry. 
If society refuses to use crypto, then I would say that crypto isn't legit or people aren't ready for changes.

The issue of acceptance of cryptocurrency is quite belated,there had been massive global adoption of cryptocurrency recently,many countries of the world have accepted to use cryptocurrency in their economies,it's only a few persons that have not got the awareness,more ICOs will come up with useful project concepts.
Maybe bitcoin could be legal but not for transaction, many people still do not know about how to use bitcoin and make bitcoin as transaction payment, need more time to tech them know about bitcoin.

I think that nothing critical will happen, most likely because of the lack of demand for the crypto currency, the price for it will greatly decrease.And how it will affect to the ICOs ?
If cryptocurrencies will not be in demand, then ICO projects will be very difficult to raise money, since there will be no hamsters on the market. 
Anyone have his own imagination and it is just your thought without any reason. Anything can happen but the whole society never rejects anything. If some people reject it, others come there to accept and the cycle will continue and it will never stop.
It may totally affect the ico, because when many people are already not using it, the demand for the ico is less. So in case, they will surely fail to their tokensale, and worst, they will not be successful.
