It is inconceivable that the world has only one single currency and I do not know what will happen if it happens. Therefore it would not be possible, because every country has a different culture and in ancient times also inter-state warfare happened, So it would not be possible if the world has only one single currency.

I think this is Impossible to happen because it means that all countries on earth have an alliance or just one country left, just like the EU. And I don't think it would stabilized the economy of some country that had slow economical growth especially on Asia and Africa were their primary sources of income are agricultural products.

If the world uses a single currency, will the economy be more stable?
This is a very interesting question. The sovereign nations issue their own currencies and are taken for granted by many people, but few consider whether this is the economically optimal option.

Using one currency for the entire nation is really hard to implement because not every people in the country is  capable of earning cryptocurrency and they might just become homeless or cannot keep up to the way that we need to earn cryptocurrency for living.

As others have said.. it wouldn't work - but in a perfect world it might, however in a perfect world we probably wouldn't need money at all lol. A recent example playing into my thinking is of any american summit on crypto, and someone against it said it would limit their ability to sanction other countries financialy.. which says it all really.

I have not seen the possibility of the whole world using a single currency reason been that currency discrepancy remains the only reason why some countries are respected and rated higher than others and just as no man will want to loose his pride so no country will want to loos her pride of currency.

The only way the world will ever begin using a single currency is if the world unites into one single governance system. Otherwise there will always be competitor currencies, even if they are other cryptos.

I think at the head of the state are the same people, like everyone else. And all people on earth want to live better. And the heads of state are no exception. I consider the creation of state crypto currencies as an attempt to have time to make money on the hype.

not quite sure if this is going to work. countries are already divided in many aspects. a call for unification is quite difficult. but it’s worth a try.

That idea has some possibility but I do not know if the other world leaders will vote up for this. But if it does happen, I know everyone in the world will unite as one currency.

I thinks its good to use a single currency, don't you think were ever parts of the worlds you travel, no more hassle looking for money changer. But of course it's only possible if the world leaders agree.

This is a very interesting question. The sovereign nations issue their own currencies and are taken for granted by many people, but few consider whether this is the economically optimal option.

In fact the adoption of the single currency was once proclaimed by the Chinese government, at the G-20 summit in London in March 2009. But this idea is not very well supported. What is clear the positive response to follow-up application is still very far away. In Southeast Asia itself, has also been initiated also unified currency, a kind of Euro for the single currency area. However the countries in it are not very enthusiastic about responding.

That lack of enthusiasm is quite understandable. Having a common currency means that you, as a country, do not have control over your currency since that control resides in other countries. The monetary decisions that can affect the economy of your country don't depend on you but on the consensual decisions that all the countries that use the same currency take.

Rather than thinking about the implementation of a single currency in the world, I believe that the first step would be to eliminate or reduce the great gap between rich and poor nations, because the experience observed in the formation of the European Union has shown us that such a wide diversity of economic realities among the participating members has brought a constant instability that has been the cause of continuous crises.

World as it is now, divided by borders of different countries cant use single currency as single currency denies this borders.
It is not a coincidence that taxes are levied in the currency of the country, and the government strictly regulates the exchange of currencies.
Labor in different parts of the world is valued in different ways, a single currency carrying a unit value violates this, which is not beneficial for governments.
Dollar is already doing a similar job in third-world countries, where people prefer the jobs in the international companies as outsourcers, as the salaries tied to more valuable currencies (like programmers in Russia or Ukraine). I can only imagine, what could happen to the economy of some small country if companies start paying salary in bitcoins without the need to change it into national currency.

So, until globalization will not finish its dirty job and merge us all into one worldwide nation - single currency is not possible. Or at least not for everyone.

So in my opinion bitcoin as an international currency will be an underdog for a long time Smiley
Which also will make some people very rich.

It's a difficult topic because economic depends not on number of currencies but on us, if people won't change there will be no changes in economic as well.

Using only one currency is a chance for humankind to become one. By using 1 currency, you can travel to anywhere you like and any place that you want. However, the government needs to have their own currencies in order to control the people. So, its just a dream which we can never have

economy in a different country, maybe for some developed countries, it's okay. but for developing countries, it will be difficult to determine the price of basic needs. the economy will not be balanced.

The reunification of the currency is certainly good, but this is hard to come by because it means that all countries on earth have an alliance or just one country left, just like the EU. The former approach is basically impossible because countries have different views Different habits, and then one, for the time being, every nation has such abilities.

Indeed, actually many problem hidden behind euro unification. Its hard to compare economic growth between countries and make their currency become one because buying power every country is different
