There are many ways to be able to learn a new language, the most important thing is that we have a strong intention first. Usually I look for
video tutorials that we can get on the YouTube platform, learn first vocabulary words that are used for everyday conversation. After we have
started to remember it, practice by speaking directly to people in the country we are learning the language for. Suppose we are studying Japanese,
we need to speak directly to Japanese people, so that we can master the language faster. Now there are many platforms that we can use to talk
to people in other countries.

English is my second language and i have really good tip for you. Watch movies/TV series or even cartoons ONLY with audio and subs on Spanish. This is good training of the things you learn in Duolingo because you can hear and see how the words are written.

Apart from my local dialogue I speak other local dialogue but the better way to learn about other languages is to stay close to people who speak the language, maybe consider moving to location where the language is used frequently by so doing, learning the language will much easier.
There's no need to go from place to place mate just to learn other languages .

We have Full access in internet that Can give us what we need, There are voice apps in which you can download the Right pronunciation of each Language ,So you can practice on your own.

And also there are Online Teacher now, offering  Language courses over internet.

Does anyone have any language tips they can give?

My best advise I can give you to learn a language is just to force yourself in situation where you need to speak it. What I did in the past when learning a language was to just travel to the country alone. When being in a foreign country and you don't have friends with you, you will automatically start communicating with locals in their language. I learned the most when travelling. It might not help you to learn how to write, but it makes a huge difference in understanding and speaking.

I'm trying to learn some Nihonggo as I watch Japanese Anime especially One Piece. Believe me, it's working. It may not be that accurate as it is but a little by little as you watch the episodes, you've got to learn some basic words from it.

There's also this app that I've watched on a travel vlogger that he shared which is also helpful but I forgot its name.
can fell you mate because we anime lover needs to learn Japanese language if we wanted to connect in the movie more than when reading Sub Titles.

my advantage is i have a nephew who came from japan(actually half breed His father is japanese and mother is Filipino) so She is tutoring me since last week if i have a free time lol.
It's nice to have a relative that has been borned half-half in nationality.

They can easily be understood and they won't be tired to teach you as they're very understanding. About anime's, I'm only remembering the basic greetings, calls and very little words.

But at least, it has taught me while enjoying watching animes.
Wondering How many Japanese language have you learned now mate  Grin Cool

Mine, at least i can communicate with Japanese people but only those Common words , and i may understand them but i can't answer everything for now.

the best way is to take courses and watch videos with subtitles
Lol how does this help one in learning languages it's impossible
I agree!!! I think the best way to learn another language is to learn the words and then try to put them into practice.
Trying to speak, that's the main thing in learning a new language

Firstly, I think that just studying grammar will not help much. Because you don't learn that language by doing that. You just learn the structure etc. of that language. I think one of the most important things to do to improve yourself is watching series/movies without subtitles (you can watch them with subtitles at the first times of course). That will definitely help you become more fluent in that language and you will improve your vocabulary etc. too of course. The other very important thing is that speaking to a person in that language for sure. It will directly effect your fluency in that language.

How does this really help now cause I'm still trying to understand what you meant
His suggestion is actually what everyone needs to do, it's the basic things. Of course you get to learn all of it for you to be able to speak in another language.

It's easier to go for vocals than written. Which language you're learning now?

pakhitheboss, I think that it also depends on a language, that you've chosen to learn. When I've been get more advanced level of English few months ago, because of certain work requirements, I've started watching specific films and reading specific articles. Also I've started getting online courses with professionals tutors, who are the experts in English.
You can't learn any language just by watching movies, you need to get the basics to understand the spoken language because there will be lot of difference in the formal and the spoken languages on most of the time.

Tips from me :

1.Watch movies which you like on a language you need. ! Do not watch movie on that language if you didn`t see it on your native language, it will be too hard to receive information. 3rd time or 4th will be good. just take your note and pencil and type words which you don`t know.

2.Look for some other ways to get some stress situations. Here you can look for a nice guidance how to get a useful stress for your mind - https://translatehub.org/how-to-become-a-literary-translator/ For example, you should take a payable task on that language, that will make your brain way versitale.

3.Study 10 minutes for 10 days, not 100 minutes for one day. In general, peoples memory is short so it is better to not overfeed it.

4.Practice verbally. You can find a work with this language, and it will be good if there will be phone calls etc.

Born in PH so Filipino, raised in USA so English native, and lived in KR so I know some Korean.

I've had to "study" Korean and what worked best for me was the "Fluent Forever" method.

It's as neurology based method and it really works - google it.

I am currently learning Russian, and I started learning it by communicating with one of the people inside Russia, where it helped me a lot to learn the basics of the language, and today I complete my education through one of the disasters that are explained in private institutes, and my only advice for you to learn the language and master it well is to communicate with One of the people who speak the language you want to learn

Russian is one of the most difficult languages I have tried to learn.
Indeed, if you have other people to communicate with them in this language you are going to learn it fast.
It is like you have a tutor that is going to help you and correct you in any grammar error.
