it's true that it can be used to do bad things but so real money so, i guess that overall is a good thing.
innovative and mostly, without the grips of wall street and buddys.
more and more people are coming to this crypto world and that will give stability and worth not only to bitcoin but to all the others also...

that idea worth a lot and the anonimity of it is also great.

1. from a close friend
2. silk road was one of the biggest stories of the time when i first heard of bitcoin..but negativity and exploitations of innovative ideas are common in infancy.... and i didnt let media brainwash me to thinking bitcoin is all drug-dealers and criminals Roll Eyes... in my opinion those elements will always exist and even more so if mainstream adoption is reached

1. This year I believe?
2. I don't know if it was good or bad, but it was the news that they had "discovered" the Bitcoin creator.
Definitely bad news, because they were wrong and the poor guy wasn't left alone for a while.

Though I'm not new, I heard about it around 2011 or 2010, not really sure. I just was searching through the net and well, I don't really remember. I heard good things first and the bad ones once I started digging a little deeper.

Quite one year ago, in the 80-100$ btc era, pre silk-road, i've started mining by fun and i don't expect to become rich with this busines... I keep my eyes open to see if something good will come and to try to stay away from fraud, but it's an hard game...

The first time I heard about Bitcoin was in 2010 but I really didn't pay any attention to it. And everyday since I've been kicking myself for not buying a couple hundreds. I thought it was just a shiny object or a new fad that would just fizzle out eventually. Much like a new toy for the bored geeks.

Heard it from a friend who was currently quite into the concept, and I suppose he tried to give me a good impression of it, although I was very skeptical and even went as far as to mock him for spending time on it. Today, lets say, I realize I was a fool, and should've invested all my money into this.

Damn.
