Yes because at some point we will have to face the fact that the environment is changing and some kind of action has to be taken for the sake of our health and our children.
Without a healthy environment we wouldn't be able to make the most out of the cryptocurrencies we have right now. Imagine a Fallout-like scenario where they use bottle caps as modes of payment. That could be our inevitable fate come the day that our planet give up on us. Everything we have invested for will be for naught and the worst is it's our children and grandchildren who will suffer from an unbearable environment. So I don't mind throwing in a few of my cryptos to fund movements that promote the environment's welfare.

If cryptocurrencies are invested within the environment it'll be better for the environment Now the balance of the environment is nearly destroyed by natural disasters like floods droughts, and extinction. Destroying forests, greenhouse emission emissions are turning the planet into a desert so investing in crypto can keep the environment balanced.

There's a search engine called Ecosia which utilizes the profits it generates from advertisement revenue to plant trees.

https://www.ecosia.org/

It might be possible for a cryptocurrency analogue to emulate that business model and help the environment.

People tend to forget, emissions are not the central issue in climate change. Deforestation has depleted the planet's capacity to absorb and sequester carbon emissions. Afforestation. Fighting desertification. Simply planting trees are legit methods of addressing issues relating to drought, increased oceanic acidity & other concerns.

With ice along the poles melting. I would 100% support pumping the excesss water into the middle east in an effort to transform the desert regions into tropical forest. That would go a long way towards absorbing carbon emissions and greenhouse gases and perhaps stabilizing things.

An example of desert in the middle east being cultivated into a forest:

Yeah I'd say its pretty sensitive to a lot.

Why should we invest in the environment, we don't own the world and need to get away from that?
The people destroying the environment (the energy companies) ought to be the ones to try to "fix" the environment.

There's a weird acceptance nowadays that humans are weak and we have to keep everything stable, actually controlling climate levels is potentially medalling more than we should. If we caused the rise in greenhouse gas emissions, then it'll take a while to get restabalise the levels and a huge reduction could destabilise something else in turn.

There's also oftentimes a huge disconnect between people saying they want to fix the planet and those that actually do. Extinction rebellion decided to do a protest and spray water from a fire truck (or something). The ones complaining about the environment are the ones that won't get of their arse and walk to the next city when they can drive there in 15 minutes...

Is the subject sensitive or not...

If you could invest your cryptocurrencies in the environment would you?

Between the question of electricity consumption, the pollution produced by mining and many other things.
What if that would ultimately turn to the benefits of cryptocurrencies?

Several comments, Many environmental investment sectors exist, but we would like to know your opinions about this

Thanks
