Like many people I suggest focusing in bitcoins. If you are adamant to have a more diverse portfolio, split your capital. Half goes to "stable" coins like BTC and ETC and the rest goes to the "hot" coins, the sort everyone will likely forget within a year.
At least even if some of the latter fails, you'd still have bets in the more long-term coins. Wouldn't want all to just vanish, right?

If you had 10000$ where would you invest it? I'm hoping for 10x in about 2 years, how would you personally split that money? There are so many altcoins that I dont know which to pick, I remember the top 5 altcoins from years ago and now they are all gone, so should I only invest in BTC end ETH or others like NEO, ADA and EOS?
I would not invest in Ethereum at the moment , I would take btc about 60% of the Deposit in your place, since this is a fundmental coin that will definitely grow , and the remaining 40 would take other altcoins such as EOS XLM TRON BNBIf you had 10000$ where would you invest it? first of all I don't invest all the money into the cryptocurrency I used the 50% of the investment for the cryptocurrency and 50% to my hands because if something was going wrong then the other Shahdol helpful for me to take the profit again so it could be an important point for everyone. 
I will use all of it to invest and buy at ethereum, I don't care about lower price of ethereum right now because I think its best way how to get profit with ethereum with less lost money and keep get profit every time.
I also like you will buy ethereum if you have such capital, because I'm sure someday ethereum will definitely experience a very good price increase and ethereum users will get a promising advantageand safe it is if you want to divide your capital into several investments, it doesn't wrong to do that and of course it will be better
for myself if I have a large enough capital I will invest high coins like Bitcoin and ethereum because I am sure that I will get a big profit, because both coins are the best place for investment
If i have that amount of money i will not invest it i will use it for the education of my children, i want to be practical , i want to start a new business outside crypto world, cause investing into crypto is too risky and the chance to get big profit is too small.
If I had 10,000$ at the time I wrote this message I will buy bitcoin with all if I not need money for anything else. I think bitcoin now is so underevaluated and is still a good investment.
I think that is a large amount of money to put on investment if I were you.
Bitcoin may have a low price these days but it is the best time for us to invest, right? The low price will go away once we starting investing again. It is true that there are a lot of investors that are doubting it but I think they should not doubt it since we are again pumping back to $4K which is just like getting up and down at that line.

our investment sometimes make us suffering loss,that's wrong if it will always give us profit.we didnt know what will happen in future, even good project left by their developers and finally be shitcoin.

if only arbitrarily choosing a lot of coins to invest I think the risk of loss will be very large because without us knowing the future developments, so before investing in crypto coins must be more careful in analyzing not just hoping for luck.
because most coins that have a low capitalization market have the potential to die, especially in a bearish market situation with this long period of time.

This amount is quite large for me for an investment and now what I want is to buy coins which are really quite good and suitable for us to be able to invest in the long or short term
If i had 100000$ and wanna put it all into crypto i will choose ada, trx , stellar and eth to invest my money. These are the coins where i can triple or x100 of my investment in the next 2 years..
Here I would like to suggest you kindly invest your money in bitcoin because it has good potential, ETH is also good because price is not very high but it is my 2nd choice, I like bitcoin as it made remarkable progress very fast in market and it is getting high in value as well, volatility will give me a chance to buy cheap and hold to sell for double or triple.

In my opinion. if I have that much money. the first time I will open or make an entrepreneur like a trade or open a service. and the remaining money I will invest in altcoins like eth. so, I will not depend on crypto results because the crypto price is very low at the moment. we better have entrepreneurship outside crypto.

holding coins from tron such as bittorent looks like very interesting for us.investors like their CEO work , and most of them satisfied with their profit that come from its price movement.and another majors coin maybe litecoin that will has important event could make its price rise alot.litecoin will halving on august.

I definitely split the investment based on the current situation for Bitcoin and ethereum in Major ports and also a little in some other good investments so it will be my Idea if I had this amount in my hands. Jump to:
